The restaurant provided excellent service and delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. I can't wait to return soon!

Valentines meal offer night today....things not available even though its the first night ofvthe menu...food comes but not as described...beans are not tomatoes! No explanation from staff....bill comes ...they did not even get that correct. Really disappointed ...shame really ...lovely building

We arrived in time for our booking on Christmas Day, we had thought it may have been overly populated but it was carefully thought out, very nice touches. The pub is very nice but the service and food was first class. We paid a...lot of money for the meal but every penny was worth it….all the staff especially the kitchen did the pubs name proud. Brilliant! Because of this I will be booking for next year.

What a lovely, welcoming pub! Really friendly, helpful staff who were happy to accommodate us. We were a party of varying ages and abilities, including my elderly and frail parents. The car park was a really good size and easily accessible for my parents. The...bar staff were keen to ensure we were all comfortable and took the time to come and chat to us about our evening. There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Although we didn’t have our dogs with us, we noted that they warmly welcome dogs and have fresh water and dog treats. We will definitely be back!

We have been a few times. This time was horrendous. Food took hours to arrive, staff couldn’t be bothered to let us know. I asked for some drinks only to be served mucky glasses with lipstick on them. I politely took it back to...the bar, when doing so, it was like I was putting them out to change the glass! They didn’t even apologise they just rolled their eyes. I’d understand if they were busy but there were only other tables in. We will never ever return to this restaurant. Not even an apology on how late the food was served or even a round of diet cokes on the house. Very rude staff, food was average oh and not to mention my chips came out cold and one still frozen.

Second visit to the wyke lion this afternoon was served by a young man called Richard very polite and courtesy even though he was rushed off his feet and seeing to every customer and been attentive to there needs including ours his colleague on the...other hand in the pink jumper was just slowly wondering around not helping or doing very much. Richard the young man was very busy however made our visit a very special one despite been ran off his feet bless him serving food and cleaning tables as well as manning the bar. Great atmosphere here and rustic surrounds ideally located at a major crossroads. Great parking facilities. A very lovely pub nice sign outside from the manager Tom welcoming...

Visited the Wyke Lion there were members of staff on. There was Richard and then there was the vacant lady (Natalie) in a pink top who didn’t know what time it was if you asked her Richard couldn’t do enough for you whereas the...other member of staff she has speeds slow and stop and always looked vacant this place definitely needs more of him and none of Natalie as she only had one area which was behind the bar and she didn’t stray or work as a team or assist her fellow colleagues she is only here for money and not to work in a restaurant the pub overall is nice but there are one or members of staff that need to be re trained or got rid but as with everywhere there are good members of staff...

We were fortunate to attend the friends and family day on Sunday, August 13th for the Sunday Lunch menu. Our visit was a prelude to showcase the Sunday lunch and to give the new staff experience in serving. The food was excellent and the quality was superb, with the staff being very pleasant. Although there were some minor service hiccups, this was to be expected as the event was meant to help the staff acclimate to the restaurant and its procedures. I would not hesitate to return, as the food was delicious and the young staff members deserved praise. We sampled the Sunday lunch menu and every dish was excellent.
