"As a family we love a good carvery and Down lands is up there with the best! Piping hot food, generous servings on the meat, ever so crispy roasties (loved the new beef dripping choice) As our daughter is a vegetarian we were relieved she had a great selection of veggies to choose from. Also, generous puddings so remember to leave room for one I recommend the sticky caramel cake if you have a sweet tooth. Nice to see a pub type restaurant that gets busy and yet still manages to keep the tables clean a really pleasant meal was had by all and have to say, the staff were 10/10!"

the employees have converted our table into a more suitable one, because 2 of us had very fast service problems on the theke.

The meal and dessert were delicious. The waitress was friendly and talkative, and despite the busyness of the restaurant, we did not feel rushed at all.

It's as if the restaurant didn't even try to accommodate customers arriving by car. What's going on? And a SERVER who was very patient with elderly customers!

Great place to eat, simple to book, the service is quick and easy and the food is lovely, have eaten here loads of times and will carry on ???? the staff are nice and friendly and always willing to help

eating was not as good as usual. we all had the carvery and it was not great; roast potatoes were soggy and the bark was really chewing. it's over, I'm gonna let you eat on my teller. very disappointing. no great value for almost £14 (as I had the big dinner).

I thought I had booked the table for 17.30 but it was actually 17.00 so we were late to arrive and they had let our table in the restaurant go but we were able to eat in the bar. This was was not a problem for us and were grateful to them for not turning us away. We had as nicer time in the bar as we would have had in the restaurant

We have not used the Toby Carvery for a couple of year we were extremely pleased on our visit on Sunday 08/03/2020. The restaurant was clean, well organised and efficient. The food was well presented, hot and cooked without being left to stew. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and to be honest we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending my family and friends to make a visit. All in all it was a delicious Sunday Roast with plenty of choices and well cooked vegetables.
