there was hardly a veg, what there was not varying nice meat was chewing . it was not good at all. I'm here before it was good, so I don't know what went wrong.

Stopped here on the way home from cornwall and found the Blackbrook Tavern by chance just off the Had a very good meal, excellent value for money just perfect !!

very nice old traditional pub but very new in construction. The team went here for a meal a while ago and it was delicious. the service was fast and friendly and we will go back soon. Always check for specials as not always easy to see. Ver carta

Came at 1.15 very busy then after a few drinks we where told had to wait for meat . We know it’s Sunday and it’s very busy at lunch time but if it was not for the other people around us we would have probably left . Over all lunch was ok when we got it at the much later time .

I am disappointed that the food did not meet my expectations. It seemed to have been left under heat lamps for too long. The yorkshire puddings were disappointing and the green beans were overcooked. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning, especially the carpets near the bar area. However, the staff members were very polite, accommodating, and friendly.

Come here for a local carvery I get asked to sit and someone will be with me soon. After min we get are drink order taken and told we can get the food. I got given the smallest pieces of meat asked for a bit more and got told I'd have to pay, the gravey was like water and overall the food was utter Rubish after I finished my food I then received my drinks. Great job not. Will never come back again Ver carta

I visited this carvery on March and the of us had a carvery ...Firstly the beef was not succulent ... rolled fatty beef ... I do not eat veg and asked if I please could have some more ! This young chap just looked at me and said No .. then giggled with his mate .. dried old yorkshires .. dried meat and only a slice ... terrible lunch and I was so embarrassed ... lovely waitress tho... never again .. I'm sorry ...

The restaurant was quite busy, but there was only a short wait for a table and the service was very smooth. Our drinks were taken right away and we had a wide variety of options to choose from. There was a large selection of vegetables and sauces available. Our drinks were waiting for us on the table when we returned from the carvery, and the used plates were cleared promptly. There was no delay in offering us dessert or the bill. The food was nothing exceptional, but it was a good value for the portion size.

I read all the reviews on other sites and they were very mixed. I came to Taunton Toby Carvery not long after it opened and was not impressed. Decided to try it again today as my parents had said it was nice.......they lied. The Beef was very fatty and over cooked with no taste what so ever, the plain mash was NOT plain, poor selection of veg, roast potatoes soggy and we arrived just as they opened the Carvery so it was all fresh. The refill drinks machine was flat and very syrupy. Staff looked fed up but our host Sam and the chef cutting the meat were very friendly and great to talk to. Unfortunately we will definitely not be returning. Worst Toby Carvery I've ever been to. Ver carta
