The restaurant could use more personal touch, but overall the service was excellent.

there was hardly a veg, what there was not varying nice meat was chewing . it was not good at all. I'm here before it was good, so I don't know what went wrong.

My friend and I were both disappointed , Under cooked and not hot , meat was ok , You get what you pay for , cheap ..... Reflects in the food I suppose , Toilets dirty I will not be going again ???? Ver carta

We booked a table requesting it be near a window, not only was this not as asked the table was late being ready and also we had to walk through the restraunt with our plates through narrow gaps and down awkward steps.

Came at 1.15 very busy then after a few drinks we where told had to wait for meat . We know it’s Sunday and it’s very busy at lunch time but if it was not for the other people around us we would have probably left . Over all lunch was ok when we got it at the much later time .

I am disappointed that the food did not meet my expectations. It seemed to have been left under heat lamps for too long. The yorkshire puddings were disappointing and the green beans were overcooked. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning, especially the carpets near the bar area. However, the staff members were very polite, accommodating, and friendly. Ver carta

One waitress was superb. I couldn't see her name badge but she was a mature lady with dark hair and was the only one wearing a face mask. If you have a recognition scheme please give her a pat on the back! Alas all of the other staff need lessons in customer service The food was good and although not much meat at our sitting there was plenty of veg. The Yorkshire pids eere huge and a crafty was of stopping you overfilling your plate.

The restaurant was quite busy, but there was only a short wait for a table and the service was very smooth. Our drinks were taken right away and we had a wide variety of options to choose from. There was a large selection of vegetables and sauces available. Our drinks were waiting for us on the table when we returned from the carvery, and the used plates were cleared promptly. There was no delay in offering us dessert or the bill. The food was nothing exceptional, but it was a good value for the portion size.

I read all the reviews on other sites and they were very mixed. I came to Taunton Toby Carvery not long after it opened and was not impressed. Decided to try it again today as my parents had said it was nice.......they lied. The Beef was very fatty and over cooked with no taste what so ever, the plain mash was NOT plain, poor selection of veg, roast potatoes soggy and we arrived just as they opened the Carvery so it was all fresh. The refill drinks machine was flat and very syrupy. Staff looked fed up but our host Sam and the chef cutting the meat were very friendly and great to talk to. Unfortunately we will definitely not be returning. Worst Toby Carvery I've ever been to. Ver carta
