"My daughter and I decided to have a carvery after a long day but didn’t get what we expected at all . We go inside and order one regular size carvery and one kids size and go to get our food . We did find it weird that there was only 3 people in there but brushed it off thinking that it was the time we went there (4:00) . We wait to be served and look over at the meat and it look dry . Super dry . When the person infront was being served we could hear shouting and singing from the kitchen and from then we knew they were messing about instead of working. Gladly the people infront asked for the turkey to be changed otherwise that would have been bone dry too .When we finally got served we got our meat it was time for sides and veg . When we walked over I looked over at the veg and it looked like it was sitting there for the whole day … it was shrivelled up and it looked nasty. the Brussels sprouts were rock hard and the carrots looked dehydrated. My daughter had some cauliflower cheese and it just tastes watered down . We both agreed the potatoes looked burnt , gravy just tasted ew and was extremely lumpy .All the sides just looked old and sad and We were not impressed at all . We ate what edible which left us unsatisfied . This was a complete waste of money and left unhappy."

Another nice place to eat Sunday roast. During weekends they also have lamb meat

Far better than the Burnt Tree Toby. Went on a Saturday, was fairly quiet, but an amazing choice of food with 5 meats available.

Food wasn't great meat was chewy and not nice, veg was very under cooked. I personally didn't enjoy my meal and neither did my husband who was sick when he got home..we won't be going back anytime soon. Ver carta

I always enjoy a carvery here. Not keen on having everything put on my plate even gravy and sauces. Wasn't how I like it. Would prefer to have to put gloves on, then I can still serve my own food and put my own gravy and sauces on.

Front house staff great, food was awful dried out veg and gravy was tasteless and lumpy, there was 3 different pots with no labels! The staff in the kitchens were loud shouting and singing, wasn't a pleasant vist at all. I should of gone with my instincts when walked in as the atmosphere was dead.

If I could rate this a 0 stars I would. Service what service, disgusting toilets with fecal matter on toilet seats and when informed the manager his response was I checked them a hour ago. Food old and dried out, meat couldn't call it that was fat. No apology or customer service. Thick unexperienced staff, shambles of a place. Ver carta

I recently attended this place with a friend, i had a wonderful experience because the food was amazing, the hospitality we received here was also great as the staff was very kind, they kept asking us how the food was and checking on us to see if we needed anything else i definitely recommend this place, i will be going again.

We arrived and were shown to a table by a man who did sort out my allergies. We sat for ages waiting for someone to get us drinks, in the end we waited till we could get a passing waitress and ask. Then had to wait, we had started our carvery before they arrived. No one came to see if we needed any desserts, again we had to wait and ask to be served. Very poor customer service. Update on the Broadway Carvery Walsall. The four of us went again today and what a difference from the last time. Pleasant staff, one lady went out of her way to find us a table which would have more room for a wheelchair. A waitress came over straight away and took our drinks orders. The carvery itself was very good....

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
