Wonderful attentive friendly service, great food and wine and they just ordered my taxi for me! Superb local dishes and wine

The size of the antipasti is huge and delicious. Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended to visit. The waiter was funny with the kids.

All OK but quite costly, especially the wine. Staff not very friendly and rather aloof. Food all right but nothing out of the ordinary. Shouldn’t bother is our advice. Ver carta

Siamo stati a pranzo per festeggiare il compleanno di una ns cara amica; bella la location; il menù era composto da antipasti vari, a seguire un primo a scelta e per concludere un'assaggio di grigliata mista; da bere oltre ad acqua, vino e prosecco; è stato tutto di ns gradimento, gentilissimo il personale; non posso esprimere un giudizio sul conto perché ero ospite.

We had an evening meal and appreciated the local flavour of the food offered. Very tasty meal. Service was good albeit they kept on asking us if we liked the food which was a bit annoying. Perhaps they're just insecure they shouldn't really worry as it really is good cooking. I didn't appreciate not being able to have a half litre jar of their house wine which they wanted to sell me by the glass. Apart from this quite important gripe (we're talking Negramaro, one of my favourite wines) go for it. Ver carta

My partner and I had dinner last night and we ordered the Anti pasta platter. It was absolutely sensational. There were 6 or 7 plates. It was creative in all ways. Firstly we had Baccala with onion, salami with cheese, pork with zucchini, tomatoes with mozzarella, fried zucchini and other veggies, and eggplant with ham. All beautiful to taste. Then I had the slow cooked lamb with a salad and my partner had the gnocchi. We finished with a local cake with a cherry sauce. This has to be highly recommended as the service is excellent and the food outstanding.

Forse meritava 3 stelle, ma la gentilezza e la qualità del servizio mi hanno convinto a darne 4. Antipasto capocollo e burratine normale. Pappardelle ai porcini a 15€ e strascinati al pomodoro e ricotta grattugiata a 13 € sono prezzi Milanesi e non Pugliesi in bassa stagione. La grigliata di carne (salsiccia bombette e capocollo) piuttosto insapore (sembrava lessata più che grigliata). Buono il Susamaniello di De Castris, ma 24 € implicano un ricarico non trascurabile. Conto finale di 50 € a testa (mezzo antipasto 1 primo ed 1 secondo bottiglia di vino in 2) é un prezzo non ho mai pagato in Puglia. Secondo me la Velle d'Itria si é montata la testa e se ne sta approfittando. Non credo sia una...

We just spent a week touring Puglia at the end of May, beginning of June, 2019. The very best meal we had anywhere at any price was at La Tana. We found out about it from the Michelin Red Guide to Italy, which we have used for many, many years, but not always found to be totally reliable. In this case, they were spot on. La Tana is a two minute walk (at most from the Ducal Palace. We drove from our hotel outside of town and found parking easily, right in front of the restaurant. We had a simple primo, with home made pasta resembling the picci we frequently get in Tuscany, with an excellent tomato based sauce.
