"We reserved Trattoria Lina for a family reunion, together with other families. We was at least 100 people, with several children. The menu was set up before, and we enjoyed a fast and polite service. The space was enough for moving ourselves among tables and have a talk with no pain. We enjoyed also the outdoor, very calm and with a beautiful sightseeing; and our children enjoyed the playground area. The food was ok. I appreciated so much lasagne scamorza, and potato with truffles was so exciting!"

We were served by a very impatient waitress which already made us feel uncomfortable. Furthermore within 15 minutes both our first course and main courses were served which gave us the impression that the restaurant owners wanted us out of there asap. Good food with a fast food attitude.

Athmosphere: 10. The place feels like a proper local restaurant with a character. Photos on the wall, signed shirts of the Bologna football team, etc. It feels like a place from the '80s with no sign that we are in the age of cool . The view is spectacular: peaceful countryside. The food is good, earthy bolognese dishes, nothing sophisticated. Prices are honest

"This tiny restaurant lies about a 45 minute drive into the country side of Bologna near the town of Sauvigno. We stumbled on this hidden treasure while on a motorcycle ride through the back country. As we zipped along and entered a hairpin curve, we glanced over and noticed 20 tables with bright yellow linen set up on a deck overlooking the picturesque valley below. We turned around and discovered the deck was actually across the street from a quaint, classic Italian restaurant. The staff warmly greeted us, opened up early for us, and recited the days offering, crafted around the seasonal local ingredients. That day, three pastas were offered and as we could not decide, they suggested they make a bit of all three and we share. One by one, three large plates of delicately made tortellini, tortelloni and tagliatelle arrived, each with a unique sauce and we stuffed ourselves, not wanting to leave even a tiny bit behind. After an the ice cold Moretti we started with and a 1/2 liter of slightly chilled lambrusco, three large plates of pasta and homemade bread, I did not believe we could eat any more.. Then the staff, clearly proud of their food, describe il dolci, desert, and we found ourselves eating homemade vanilla sorbet topped with fresh cherries and one of the best semifreddo I can remember eating! The restaurant makes Tigelle for the night time, something I never heard of and am excited to return and try but apparently is some type of regional 4 inch round porous bread topped with a sweet or savory.. If you visit at night, drop me a line and let me know how they are!. I would heartily suggest this restaurant stands out as a destination worth visiting while in the area or worth a purposeful drive just to eat there. I plan on returning in the evening next time to eat and enjoy sunset from their magnificent decks."

"A very large restaurant, likely seating people or more in two large rooms, a side terrace and a front dehors. They look like having an established reputation, as they have and sell to take away their own branded selection of balsamic vinegar, olive oil,...wine, cakes and more foods I can't remember now. Food is extremely good. We focused on fresh porcini (boletus) and spugnole (morels) fungi and a tad of truffle: fresh porcini salad, grilled porcini and green (spinach in the dough) tagliatelle with cream and morels, salame (they call it salsiccia passita here, or withered sausage Grilled porcini, and an additional grilled beef filet were especially well cooked the latter was as good as I can remember, likely kept at room temperature before grilling so it was rare and still more uniformly cooked than usual. Mixed cold cuts with fried crescentine (small pieces of leavened dough lightly deep-fried). Servings were sizeable, still we forged on and managed to have dessert, too. We had mascarpone with cooked cherries and an extremely tasty eggnog-like cream ice cream with blueberries in syrup small and delicious. Overall, with lots of water and a couple of Belgian-style ales made few miles from this place we paid less than Euros per person, which I regard as extremely reasonable. Service was family-style and very good. They did bring a second course (which we had ordered after our main order) before first courses, and apologised profusely when they realized. Never mind. I wish I'll have a chance to be back; it's comparatively far from main roads, along a great countryside landscape, similar to Tuscany's if with steeper slopes on lower hills, and a bit darker green these days."
