we stopped here after a day out and the food was brilliant, didn’t have to wait to long and fed a family of very well with two portions cod and chips couple of bread rolls was nice thank you so much will definitely eat...with you again

I had food delivered from Trident on Christmas Eve. It was delivered piping hot, and most importantly, it was the best Cod and chips I have had in a long time. The fish was perfectly cooked and light. I highly recommend them and will definitely use their services again. Ver carta

Just collected fish and chips and looking forward to a crispy batter and crispy chips only to find a soggy lump of fish and overlarge chunky chips all soggy. Ordering on phone and paying online very easy and I was not kept waiting but I...will not be returning here. What has happened to this fish and chip shop it used to be brilliant years ago!

The service was very friendly. Staff knowledgable about gluten free and I was given separate sealed ketchup packs and gluten free vinegar. I do not eat out very often because I worry about cross contamination being cealiac but this was a really tasty meal and...the others in my party who had normal fish and chips all really enjoyed a very tasty meal

We visited the Trident fish restaurant on a day visit to Eastbourne because we had heard it offers gluten free fish and chips, which is hard to find. We were not disappointed. The food (gluten free and gluten containing) was really good. They understand allergy...issues, the portions were a good size and a reasonable price. We will return. It is just a shame we don't live closer as we'd be regulars! Ver carta

I could literally repeat my last review about Trident, in fact, I will see below Just a great visit as always, never been disappointed here. We make it our business to visit Trident every time we visit Sussex and they have never let us down. All items were freshly cooked and piping hot. Whatever they use as a batter coating is superb and make for very light eating. A most enjoyable Dinner. Well done and thank you as always Trident

It's not easy to find gluten-free fish and chips, but we stumbled upon The Trident by accident and we are so grateful that we did! We had a wonderful meal at their charming, clean, and spacious restaurant. My husband has a gluten intolerance, so it was refreshing for him to have more than one option on the menu. The food and selection were outstanding. Everything was freshly cooked and delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was exceptional, with Rose ensuring we were well taken care of. The Trident has quickly become a favorite for our family and we will definitely be returning soon.

As a COELIAC, I'm always a bit nervous of eating out but eating out at a fish chip amongst other options) bar was facing a real challenge! Would I walk out feeling happy or sick? Absolutely NO GLUTEN FREE PROBLEMS here!! I ordered...the Gluten Free Cod Chips and explained it had to be GLUTEN FREE. of course ,no problem said the waitress. Sounded hopeful! I double checked when my food arrived, scary as it looked liked everyone else' cod chips.I can't tell you how good that food tasted,like I've not eaten in years!
