"Returning to this restaurant was a huge mistake. I have to give it one star, but honestly, it doesn't even deserve that. My friend and I visited a few weeks ago, but there was no food available due to staff shortages. The woman serving us was unfriendly, but we thought it was just the situation. We decided to give it another try for lunch today. When I asked if there was a vegan option, the response was simply "No," with no apology. After some discussion, the same woman suggested the Greek Wrap without Feta. We ordered coffee as well, and when it arrived, the cups were in poor condition. There was a chip on one and a cracked glaze on the other. When our wraps arrived, my friend's came with a side of crisps, but mine did not. I was informed that the crisps were not vegan, only vegetarian, and could have come into contact with milk. Despite explaining that it was a preference and not an allergy, I was still given crisps. I noticed halfway through our meal that my friend had green olives, which my wrap was missing. Despite having fewer ingredients, I was still charged £8.95 with no offer of a reduction or additional toppings. The coffee mugs were also stained and dirty. When I mentioned the missing olives to the owner, she explained that they come with the feta cheese. It would have been helpful if this had been communicated earlier. As we were browsing in the gift shop next door, the cafe owner accused us of not paying for our meal, causing a very embarrassing situation. When we went back to confirm payment, the owner only offered a half-hearted apology. I also mentioned the state of the cups and the lack of ingredients in my wrap, but was called rude by the cafe owner. Overall, the experience was unpleasant and we will not be returning."

Decided to have lunch here with friends. Cheery welcome from staff. Menu good and varied, food very enjoyable. Nice, warm, cosy venue. Will be back

The tea room is beautiful, Annie is delightful and made us feel very welcome. The homemade sausage rolls are a must-have and we had the best sausage sandwich ever! Ver carta

Turned away when we turned up at 2pm for lunch, despite them not closing until an hour later. Also previously went for cake (which was on display) and told that cake 's not being cut until tomorrow . Hilarious if it wasn 't plain dumb. Nice venue ruined by a collective of Karen 's running it.

Stopped here for coffee and cake while on a bike ride through the area. Super friendly staff and an excellent selection of homemade cakes which were very yummy (four of us each went for some thing different . There is a reasonable amount of seating inside and the garden is a quite a sun trap (just the job in Feb ! Will be back!

My daughter say the review on this little gem and we tried it out. True to is review, hidden away on the crossroads with a lovely garden seating area. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff were very obliging and talkative. The afternoon tea was superb. Presentation was definitely made for eye appeal. The scones especially were scrummy,. Anyone wanting a treat this is the place. Well worth visiting. We will be going again. Ver carta

Amazing afternoon tea. I bought a voucher for my parents and it exceeded expectations on all levels. They could not stop raving about the sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls, cakes and especially the freshly baked (still warm) scones. Completely recommended if you want to pop in for coffee, lunch or a light bite but especially if you want to give a gift. The gift of afternoon tea at the Trumpet corner tea room is definitely a gift that will be welcome.

I don't even know where to start with this review! The coffee is consistently excellent and we can never say no to the incredible variety of homemade cakes available. The tea rooms have a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the outdoor seating area is absolutely gorgeous for enjoying summer days. We are frequent visitors because we enjoy supporting small, locally-owned businesses. This place is great for intimate dates or for larger gatherings. We even booked the entire venue for my Mum's 70th birthday party, and Annie and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place.
