"post lockdown my family and I finally had the opportunity to return to our favorite Portuguese restaurant. everything was as it was very nice staff, very good eating and cheap prices. Of course, handsanitary welcomes all at the door and masks are necessary when they move. for the starter we had manteiga de alho com pão e azeitonas ajoli with oliven and brot, which is nice, but the entrada mista mixed starter plate with which we normally begin is highly recommended. for the main course we ordered lulinhas com alho calamaretti in garlic sauce with frit kartoffel cubes and the day-specificity, grilled pork, which we paired with Portuguese white and red wines. for my children the small black carving with pommes, rice and mirror and limonaden. we finished our costly meal with a pudim caseiro homemade caramelpudding. as always we were thrilled and went very fully home."

We've been here about times now and its one of our favorite places to eat. Seafood is fantastic, drinks are good, and the service is great. Worth every penny.

All the staff are Portuguese and speak the language. It is in fact, affiliated with a Football club. We had a selection of starters; croquettes, garlic prawns, grilled calamari, salad etc. all of which was very tasty. For the main course, I had the...Octopus with boiled potatoes covered in Garlic very delicious. We also had a decent Portuguese wine with the food. All in all a good evening out and the restaurant caters for large groups.

We have been here with another family of friends. Personnel is friendly, helpful and nice. Atmosphere is simple but warm. Food is basic Portuguese food but well done and price are absolutely OK. It is not poshy, not the place for romantic dinner. It is...plenty of these places in the region. But I could hardly find a place simple, warm and familiar like that. Only service was a little bit slow. All the rest was perfect for a nice lunch in good company.

the place was proposed by a native. it is a very simple place and eating is also good. I expected a little more. we were a big group of people and we asked for mixed starters for all of us. the waiter. said he would organize it, but then we have two tellers with each one object of appetizer, so we needed to share each croquetta in pieces. taste was not really good, some of them remembered eating frozen. the main dish was better, huge amount, but the taste could have been better. the meaty fish dishes were better. the restaurant is definitely trying to personal is great and I would also try something else again. I really can't understand this high rating. I've been there twice (not for my choice) and compared to other portuguese restaurants in Mainz, there is a lot to improve. Food was simple, fresh made, quite cheap. Menu is good, a lot of fish, but not...only (as in some other Portuguese restaurant). A lot of staff, nice, authentic, family-kind. Atmosphere is ok if you find place outside. Inside, quite cold (dark, few neon lights). There are a lot of tables for big groups/events. Service is deadly slow. Location is in the middle of nowhere (quite scary industrial suburb). I would never come back, sorry. It doesn't worth the bus tickets to get there.

super friendly place, served great fish dishes. a little outside the city center, but worth a visit if they stay in mainz. there is a bus stop at the restaurant, but the buses do not really liveable, unless they have a super early dinner (open on and closed on Monday). from the hb they take the bus line or (from direction Kaiser-Wilhel-Ring) and the light on the goethestrasse, go under the railway line along the goethestraße and turn right into the mombacherstraße, the restaurant is right. the opposite is safe. a must for football fans especially as the name of the restaurant is the name of the Portuguese football club in mainz. many trophäen on the display.

"we thought it was time that four years ago opened patagonia in the mainzer neustadt to test. the bus and tram connection is excellent, the parking situation is very difficult. there is an outside area at the restaurant, and the dining room is large and clear. because the guests were distributed outside and inside, the reservation about opentable would not have been necessary. so we were allowed to choose a table and were welcomed by the two ladies in the service friendly. we found a rectangle with a view of a large flatscreen, on which a diashow of pictures ran from patagonia, which first triggered television. steaks are offered in all variations, and the selection is quite difficult. we first took three empanadas with different fillings that relatiw quickly came out of the kitchen and taste very good.My wife decided in the main course for a rumpsteak of the even medium rare with grill potatoes and salad. I had previously researched the card in the internet and asked myself what a flap steak was. wikipedia helped and so I knew it was a cut that is very common in patagonia and comes very close to the us sirloin strip. I wanted to try this and ordered it **** in the bloom. I took a foil potato. both supplements were handed with the obligatory sourcream with coriander. the two supplemental salads were fresh, colourful and crisp, with the carrots also liked as a supplement. Even with critical consideration, the performance was in all respects of expectations: the services were extremely friendly and stood also in the meat selection with rat and did the side. the we chose to be perfectly met. confusingly I found the hints in the menu on the recommended per steak. these were all together and especially between medium and well done. that was not comprehensible for me because of the top quality of meat, all in all a very successful evening with a quite reasonable price-performance ratio. we like to come back to patagonia."
