Victoria - Carta

We had a meal in the Victoria with some friend from the village. The food was all fantastic the Venison Wellington was delicious. The service and drinks were great too.

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant were amazing. The service was great, with very kind employees. It was a great value and overall a very polite and enjoyable experience.

We visited the Victoria yesterday afternoon/evening. The flood waters were very high and we took refuge there. So warm and inviting and so very helpful to everyone. The staff kept the atmosphere positive and welcoming! Thank you Ver carta

We just had the most wonderful meal. The pheasant pie was absolutely fantastic. Our daughter loved the nachos and the lasagne. A really wonderful meal and a lovely evening. Back next week for the Sunday roast can’t wait. Thank you

This is our new local and very satisfied that we have such great food on our door step! The chicken pie was absolutely delicious! Had a lovely chat with the chef, Jo, who told us of his impressive resume. No room for pudding that’s for next time! Eat local and keep these amazing pubs going!

Stopped in for a light lunch and were very pleased with their menu. Plenty of nice choices. We had a cottage pie fish pie served with veggies. Delicious! Followed up with an apple crumble and ice cream. Perfect. Service was excellent, too. Did stop on way out to let them know that we were quite pleased with our meal! Ver carta

The Earl Soham beer is wonderful, that goes without saying, but the food is also exceptional. I was in a party of 15, the chef spoke to us personally, and although admittedly we ordered ahead, the food was served in good time, and was excellent quality. Perhaps the best mash I 've eaten in a restaurant, certainly a pub, the sausages perfectly cooked, to the extent they had a slight 'crackling ' like quality, and the veg was oh so perfectly cooked. The clientele were also a friendly bunch. Will be back! Thank you.

The food at this restaurant was incredible. Both my friend and I ordered the venison wellington and it was cooked to perfection with generous portions. My wife opted for the Thai curry and my friend's wife had the lasagna, which were both delicious as well. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was amazing, with a perfectly balanced sauce that wasn't too sweet. The chocolate brownie was also fantastic. The staff were very accommodating, bringing an extra plate for my 2-year-old who couldn't finish a child's portion. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This charming old pub has been a favorite spot for us for many years, but it seems like there may have been a change in ownership. The staff were friendly and the beer was excellent, but we were both shocked by the state of the toilets. After seeing how unclean they were, we decided we couldn't risk eating there. The lack of hygiene in both the men's and women's bathrooms was unacceptable, and if the same standards applied in the kitchen, it would be a serious health concern. It's disappointing to see such a lack of basic cleanliness in an establishment that serves food to the public. We have decided not to return. Ver carta
