"Just back from this restaurant if you could call it that. One of the worst experiences we have ever had in our lives. We booked a table for 12 with children and had been sat down for 5 minutes. One of our infants knocked two plates together and the owner gave us a stare. Then one of the adults in our party tried to shuffle in behind the table and a plate accidentally fell and smashed. The owner then proceeded to the table with an aggressive tone and said don 't break any more plates they cost a pound each ' and then one of our party that said 'sorry it was an accident, I genuinely didn 't mean it, if you are so unhappy about it just add it to our bill '. The owner then said ' okay I will then and stop breaking plates '. We all had to leave immediately before we ordered any food due to the horrendous atmosphere that this owner caused. What is more frustrating about this is that we had family visiting from abroad and brought them here for their last night. What an absolute embarrassment this has been. Even when we said we were leaving he said 'on you go! '. If they truly believe that this is the kind of atmosphere that customers like to receive then I believe they are well off the mark. There is definitely an air of arrogance and condescension as if they don 't need the money or the custom. So if your not sure about where you want to go for something to eat and are considering this place, take our advice give it a very wide berth and go somewhere else where you will surely be looked after better."

Chicken was tough and stringy and yet prices have increased by a good margin looking elsewhere now

Great food and service in a basic looking restaurant. Don’t let the basic surroundings put you off. The food is first class, and the service polite and efficient. As a family we had a mixture of starters and main courses. My South Indian Tikka Chicken was nice, but my wife’s Vegetable Dopiaza was really terrific. Price was very reasonable.

100% the best choice we could have made. Yes, the street is grim, but it's home to the wonderful Laurieston Bar and The Village! Two terrific main courses in the Tikka Butter Chicken and the Jaipuri Lamb. Sensational sauces, soft skewered chicken, melt in the mouth lamb. And the best garlic naan we've had anywhere, ever. Our waitress was fabulous too went out of our way to thank her as we left. Great food, great service, loved it. Ver carta

We ordered using the app which was simple to use. When we got home, I realised a meal was missing but as it would take too long to go back to town we just made do with what we had and requested a refund…..2 weeks later my repeated calls and emails have been ignored and no refund received. So, for takeaway, be careful and check your order as we paid for something we didn’t receive and have been ignored when trying to on arrange a refund for that item not a great way to do business!

I asked my friend most of the time the staff is ver rude. I asked for water with my order which the waitress forgot. I reminded her after 20 minutes. she got angry and said I have never asked for water instead of apologising. Spend over £30 and i was on my own. disregarding the amount i spent. she started arguin to prove me lier about the order. After completing i asked her nicely why she got angry, instead of being nice, very rudely she said because you never asked for water. I said you sayign I am lier. "I do not care. I asked to call manager, she said you come back at 3, to complaint he is not here. come back to see him agan. Fu..ked up my mood and day over a small aplogy and a glass of w... Ver carta

Went there with my bf, he’s incredibly fussy and doesn’t like eating out, he much prefers home cooking and is very sceptical about anywhere serving genuine halal food etc the fact you can view the chefs preparing the food certainly helped make him feel slightly more confident about the food. He did seem to enjoy it but he was struggling to relax he’s incredibly shy but for our first time eating here it wasn’t too bad an experience, myself well I loved my food and it was almost the right amount of spice for me I should have perhaps asked for extra hot for my food but the keema was incredibly tasty and the tikka well cooked, I’d say lack of complimentary popadoms and onions defo put this place...

We saw the sign board of Lahori cuisine on our way to hotel and went in without reading reviews. Being from Lahore we hoped we would find some authentic taste as it is so boldly advertised on the board. We ordered appetizer Laziza combo and lassi. Water was not served or asked for but appetizers arrived within ten minutes. Samosa had green peas(never seen in Lahore but in Amritsar) and was cooked twice. Pakoras were stale. And Chapli Kebab was so hard that you can only bite it but not break with a fork. Everything felt like it was over cooked by frying twice. Likely fried once and refrigerated then fried again before serving. Lassi arrived after the food. And water was still neither served n...
