"The photo newspaper wrote in 2008: Germany's most famous Waldheim and Maultasche Paradise of our chancellor. However, the proximity to the Pfaffenwald attracts many university and institute employees for the lunch break, who spit mothers with children, pensioners, small families near the residential area. Here you sit wonderfully between scattered fruit trees, for children there are many possibilities and many nature. Food and drink can be ordered and picked up at the counter. For food there are numbered bons and a huge display indicates which foods are to be interpreted. Sacks are available in all variants: in broth, roasted, with beard liquor etc. The supplemental salad can be added in itself, but some of the ingredients are quite comfortable food. On Monday is always carving day, on Friday fish is on the program."

The main dish with the sausages was very tasty. The beergarden has a very nice surrounding with huge trees and there is plenty of space outside. There could be more vegan options, but I can still recommand the place.

A great praise to the Waldheim team: We ordered goose bumps to deliver today. Everything was delivered hot and punctual, the throats were very delicate, the clichés delicious, blue Kraut and sauce super. It has cost very well, again happy

That was probably here 45 years ago. The beer garden is very beautiful and idyllic in the forest. On foot and by car. Great plus: disabled toilets. Everything very clean and staff very nice. Self-service with numbered hive. Very good. Extensive menu for all. Eat very tasty and good portion. Beautiful large children's playground and table tennis. To relax a corner with sun loungers. Come back soon, not only in 45 years....

waldheim heslach has a large playground and lies directly in the nature in the forest. they offer many typical local dishes (unfortunate with meat etc. with a few vegan options. it is a great place if you want to have a place in summer out with family, a group with ubiquitous etc. pretty many will find something to eat here. I had some delicious vegan sausages with aioli and grilled vegetables. they also offer vegan nuggets for children, what I think is dope. dogs are also allowed! it is self-service, they order at the counter and receive a number. updated by previous review on 2021-07-24

Waldheim Heslach has a big playground and is located straight in nature at the forest. They offer many typical local dishes (unfortunately with meat etc. , with a few vegan options. It’s a great place if you wanna have a place in summer outside with family, a group with omnivores etc. Pretty much everyone will find something to eat here. I had some yummy vegan sausages with aioli and grilled veggies. They e.g. also offer vegan nuggets for kids, which I think is dope. Dogs are allowed too! It’s self-service, you order at the counter and get a number. Updated from previous review on 2021-07-24

Beautifully located beer garden with sufficient space in the sun and many places in the shade under fruit trees. The mood is pleasantly relaxed, even with a lot of effort on the weekend. The new menu is diverse and our dishes were very delicious. The prices we find in order, the staff is friendly The partial negative reviews after reopening we cannot understand. The fact that the new owner has to play a short time on the first weekend should be clear. During our second visit a few days later, something more was organized than at the beginning. We will be happy to come regularly in the future.

I have been visiting the Waldheim for over 30 years now. It is the first place we go whenever we visit Stuttgart and holds very happy memories for us.it is set in the Vaihingen area and is fairly rural whilst being close to town. It's ideal for families as there are playgrounds for children, one for younger children and another for older children. There are large gardens as well as an indoor restaurant and many people spend the whole day there. The food is traditional Swabian fare and although fairly basic it's good quality and extremely reasonable. It is my favourite palce in Stuttgart and when planning a trip to Germany we make sure that we detour to visit our beloved Waldheim!

"Wow. Simply Awesome! Best dining experience my wife and I have had in several years, probably top all time, and we are real foodie snobs. They squeezed us in with only a couple hours notice. We got the course menu paired with wine....Little did we know that six courses in metric means First came the amouse bouse, a frothy chicken soup plus a croquette topped with dried mushrooms. Paired with wine of course. Then came a home made freshly baked baguette that was crazy delicious served with a dish of sour cream and chives as well as butter with pumpkin seeds. The bread was so good it could have been its own course, and the sour cream was the first of many unusual com I nations, but it worked. Next was a salad a combination of beet root, cabbage, Thai coconut milk and lemon grass. I hate beets and I loved this dish. Next wa the first actual course, duck liver pate and brioche with figs and wine sauce. Amazing! Now how about some slow cooked trout (which strongly resembled salmon) with tangerines and celery root. Then some white cod with Jerusalem artichokes and hazel nuts. Then, to cleanse the palate a glass of deer broth served in a glass like a brandy snifter. We're only halfway through. Now it's a slab of deer meat cooked like a tender steak, served with a cannelloni stuffed with deer and all set over mashed parsley root that could have passed as mashed potatoes. All garnished with an amazing deer gravy/sauce. Next comes some mont d'or cheese served with house made fruit bread, oranges, and rutabaga. Crazy com o but it was delicious. Now for dessert courses. Red wine sorbet. Think you're done? Next comes white chocolate ice cream serve with quince (purée, cubes, and foam) served with a chestnut parfait. Now we're stuffed, but time for another dessert: creme brulee paired with a chocolate brownie and a serving of mango mousse. Crazy good."
