"Living in France (for the time being) I crave authentic Indian food which is plentiful and varied in London where I have lived for 54 years. My son being at Glasgow University provides me with the excuse to travel North regularly and enjoy the huge diversity of restaurants that Glasgow offers. The Wee Curry Shop is simply sublime. The cooking is precise, the menu concise and the spicing as it should be! Small joint, only maybe thirty seats at a push which enables the very small kitchen to deliver great results. Halibut grilled with subtle spices and flavours was outstanding, the lamb with Fenugreek leaves was like nothing I had before and their butter chicken is just sooo yummy, one would have to eat it keeling down in reverence. In short, not one duff dish on the menu and more than fair bill. This place is packed and very much for the connoisseur. Highly recommended."

If you add up all the time I've spent on Ashton Lane it probably comes out not at hours or even days but probably about 2 weeks.

What a delicious and unexpected surprise in Glasgows Ashton Lane! Chicken with chili and garlic and ,dear god, best Indian I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Second time we’ve been here. Great starter, spicy haddock, main course garlic chilli chicken but a bit like sauce for slow cooked chicken curry, nevertheless it was very good. Ver carta

Best indian in Glasgow. Food is gorgeous and very cosy inside hope it opens up soon. Order any of the fish related starters if that’s your thing (spiced haddock and fish pakora exceptional)

This Indian restaurant on Ashton Lane is a great spot for good food. It's a popular address for Glasgow University students looking for nightlife. Just be aware that there are stairs to climb to reach the restaurant.

Amazing experience! The food was simply delicious. We tried most of the non vegetarian options and enjoyed ourselves very much. Food came quickly, but everything was freshly cooked and tasty. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Attentive and really friendly service staff. Great food, generous portions, and all at very reasonable prices. Ver carta

Everything about this place was great. All good; delicious (obviously), but the staff were great too. My wife had to leave for an emergency very shortly arriving and everyone couldn't have been nicer about it. They gave us all the food to go and we're even lovely enough to give us a discount (I made sure the tip covered the discount, plus an actual tip). Highly recommended! PS. The food all tastes awesome, reheated, 2 hours later

As a person with disabilities, I am almost completely blind and have some trouble walking. Despite my independence, I like to do things for myself. During a recent visit to the restaurant with my husband, I was able to use the restroom on my own without any issue. However, when I returned to the table, a waiter approached me and whispered in my ear while my husband was ordering drinks, stating that I could only have one glass of wine with my dinner and no more, as he had been watching me. This rude and ignorant behavior outraged and disgusted me, prompting us to promptly leave the restaurant. I will not be returning to this establishment.
