Trollinger - Carta

This is a good place to take foreign visitors to in order for them to sample Swabian cooking. The selection of regional wines is pretty good (Trollinger is the name of a local wine), food is great and staff are friendly and helpful. I'll be back

We ordered our steaks medium, but they were ultra rare. As if they grilled frozen steaks on high heat, the surface was cooked, inside was a mess. I always eat my steak medium, this is not the way.If you appreciate good steak, you may want to skip this restaurant. The deserts are o.k. the side dishes were good.

I had to take the menus, after waiting for 20 min and no waiter looking at us. After raising the hand for the fifth time we were seen. She collected the orders, brought the dishes and we were forgotten again. Aiming for a dessert, we caught the menus in the entrance ourselves again. The Appel strudel was not good. Although we enjoyed our meals, once we received them, we waited an unusually long time to place our orders, the food preparation seemed unnecessarily leisurely, we had to capture a server (not ours) to get drink refills, and finally one of our party had to find a cashier to get the bill. So the "average" rating is not higher, even though the food was good, because the experience was so frustrating.

Having lived in Stuttgart a long time I keep going back here. Food is good and quick and portions are very very big. Very good value for money always. The spaetlze is really tasty and homemade and comes with a buffet salad. There is a huge range of meat dishes available. Service is prompt. It is really cosy and warm inside in the winter and in summer sitting outside you get a great view of the Feuersee.

If you want to visit a typical German pub almost in the center of Stuttgart, that's a very good place. They serve Swabian dishes, beer, wines. Stuttgart and the surrounding area are famous for their wines. Good service and prices. Last but not least, as it is located right next to the Feuersee lake with the beautiful Church of St John (Johanneskirche) in the background, you will also have a great view - if you are sitting outside. First the good bits.Friendly waitresses who are very helpful and attentive.Good food and a nice view too sitting outside under the umbrellas.The bad side. Extremely rude waiter. Frankly felt like leaving without paying. My crime? Moving tables cos it started raining and i didn't want to get wet. Did i tell them i was moving. Yes i did. So please learn that customers dont want to sit out in the rain and dont be rude to them else they wont return. Which i didnt.

This place was recommended to us by our hotel staff, and oh boy were they right!The meal consists of a large backed potato filled with sourcream and the topping of your desire. We went with bacon bits and onion in one, mushrooms and chicken strips in the other and they were both amazing. The service is nice and friendly. The only downside is the badly formated and presented english menu, if they put a bit more effort into it, I'm sure it would attract more non-german speaking customers.

Tried this restaurant at recommendation of our hotel staff. Unfortunately, by the time we got there the outside seating was full and we had to sit inside. There was no air conditioning on and Stuttgart was in middle of heat wave so it was hot and stuffy inside. The food was good, I recommend the maultaschen (a German ravioli dish which is nothing like Italian ravioli)! We sampled the salad bar which had a wide variety of German dishes. To keep the bugs away, they put a sweet liquid in glasses and scattered them around the salad bar!
