overall solid eating and very friendly service, but not in the position to pay with international credit cards was an surprise and means I will not be back, bring cash!

Place looks to be packed all the time. Hence you might have to share a table with others. No problem however, people are friendly. Servings are on the large side, food is traditional and good. Ver carta

Great German food and service with possibly the best waitress in Germany! Authentic ambiance with plenty of seating both indoors and out. Have eaten here every year since visiting Hanau 3 years straight. Will be back again next year!!!

I stayed 4 nights in Hanau and on 3 of them I ate here. they always found me a place on the crowded table. the beer was excellent. the menu was not only very varied, but they had kopien in english! and that was eating and the staff was so pleasant. I do not recommend thi stoo high

Cosy ambience in a rustic inn. The service was very friendly and the food came relatively fast, although it was very full. In the case of specific applications, attempts have been made to meet them as far as possible. Even despite the whole house it was not too loud thanks to the separation. The value for money was also excellent. I can only recommend eating here, but you should always reserve it before. Ver carta

If you are in this region and look for a genuine Hesse restaurant with Schnitzel and Apfelwein apple wine cider this is the place to be. This is the only one which can compete with the others in Frankfurt. You have got the large...tables where you sit on benches with others at the table, mainly local people, last time when I was there some tourists had found this great place as well : The Schnitzels were very good, a bit too long fried maybe. The pepper sauce was delicious and the french fries crispy. The Apfelwein was delicious! And quite cheap!

I had eaten here on several occasions.The restaurant is in the Altstadt of Hanau, a small but nice area wih several restaurants. Opens very early and there tends to be a lot of people. Dishes are german style, lot 's of it but quality wise not...that good. What is good about this restraurant is the atmosphere, large tables where people join for dinner or a drink. Service is quick and very friendly, with some good advice don 't take the salad as a starter, there is one with the main dish something that would be impossible in many places, let 's say in France for example... Price is one of the cheapest in the area.

My husband and I really like the food here. It took a while to get our food but the place was pretty much busy with apparently one service person and one bartender. We were a couple seated at a long corner table against the wall...with a group of 5-6 other people. Though there was a bit of room between us and the group, it felt a bit awkward when the drinks and food had to be passed down to us by the others. So be aware that you might be sitting at a table with strangers, something we're not accustomed to in the U.S. It was not mentioned on the menu that a mixed salad comes with the entree and I almost ordered one as an appetizer. The salad was fresh and tasty. Obviously there was no choice... Ver carta
