Perfectly pleasant FnB in a grand setting, the whole experience elevated by Sharon who radiates warmth and genuine hospitality.

The restaurant is an elegant place to dine. Sharon and all the staff made sure we had a great time. Thank you to all, we hope to come back again soon.

Although very overpriced, the food was OK. Unfortunately, the service in the Wernher Restaurant was absolutely appalling. In highsight, I should have deducted the service charge. The staff didn't seem to have a clue as to what they should be doing and were wandering around aimlessly with plates! I have visited this restaurant in the past, but as this was a very disappointing experience, I don't think I would bother again. Ver carta

We had a terrible dining experience at this restaurant while staying at Luton Hoo for the weekend. Despite the kind and friendly staff, the food was some of the worst I have ever had at a restaurant that is marketed as "upmarket". Everything we ate lacked flavor, despite being presented nicely. The Arancini I had tasted like nothing, and the tomato and goat cheese salad had chilled, flavorless tomatoes and overwhelming goat cheese, making the dish unbalanced. Even the bread offered to us was stale. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience, especially considering the high price. I strongly advise people to avoid this restaurant.

To be told with precisely 26 hours notice that the Werner restaurant is to be closed and our booking moved to the Brasserie (which in our opinion is not at the standard, from both an ambience and menu perspective) is totally unacceptable. This was to be a 92nd birthday celebration with a guest flying in from Australia who wanted to host us somewhere fitting for the occasion. To say we are devasted is an understatement. So far I have had no return call from anyone in a position of responsibility to give me any suitable explanation. Now to see if somewhere else is available to host our meal with just 24 hours notice. Be warned it's one cancellation rule for us and another for them!

We were invited to Sunday lunch at this restaurant by friends and after browsing the reviews will admit to not looking forward to it at all. But I have to say everything was exceptional from start to finish. We were greeted by some lovely waiting staff and offered drinks in the lounge before lunch. Once we were moved through to the dining room the exceptional service continued. Five of us had starters mains and desserts all of which were beautifully presented cooked to perfection and tasted amazing ! We decided to dine at this luxurious restaurant as a special Christmas treat. However, upon reserving a table, we were surprised to learn that they only offered a seven-course tasting menu priced at £75 per person. It would have been helpful to know this in advance. Additionally, there was no wine flight available to accompany the menu. The menu itself had a wide range of options, presented in a complicated 4x4 matrix format. While the dishes themselves were delicious with great attention to detail and flavor, we found that the lack of storytelling or explanation about the dishes by the staff was disappointing. Really poor experience. It was our first time in this lovely restaurant but right from the start there were worrying signs. It took us 20 minutes to order a bottle of bubbles in the lounge bar. We then went into the restaurant for Sunday Lunch. Starters were good and well served. The roasts then arrived which were just about warm. No one came for ages to ask if the food was OK so we just ate it. We mentioned when plates were collected that we weren't happy but nothing much was said. Had been here several times for Afternoon Tea which was great so decided to go for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. On arrival we were asked if we would like a drink and shown to a large public room where it was just us which was surprising for a Saturday evening. Lovely ambience and our table was overlooking the grounds and we were spied upon by a gorgeous peacock. We found the menu very disappointing. Limited in choice. The rolls offered were hard, and it was served with I think truffle butter which we did not like. We decided not to order a starter and went straight to the main course.
