beautiful place, good eating, venerable service, large small place, clean, right in the middle of taunusstein. relaxing place, very friendly, elegant. good place for a meal or just a drink.

I always enjoy eating here with family. Food was always delicious and service fast. Waitress was always in a hurry since it was always busy every time we went there. Place is a bit cramped. Would have wanted to sit in the covered veranda outside...but they said it's always full whenever I reserve. Worth the trip!

the food is standing outside and the service super. However, is a negative point, as in many German restaurants people can bring their dogs to dinner with them, once we went out as the huge dog at the place where we have one. table offered that can ruin your appetit. we had another evening meal and where luck no dogs in themselves. again the food and the service was perfect.

This restaurant has it all – good food, excellent and friendly service and a great atmosphere. In fact, you can choose from three atmospheres: the glass-fronted section is quieter and more spacious, the inside section is cosy, more pub-like, or in summer you can sit...out in the garden. The menu has a broad range and the prices are extremely reasonable. We personally like the steaks but have never been disappointed, whatever we have chosen. The desserts are delicious. Warning: the portions are very generous! At the weekend it is best to make a reservation to be on the safe side. We have been coming here for several years – and shall continue to do so.

It is fasching here in Germany and things are supposed to be lively let's face it though the Germans need to told when to laugh. This place has a good atmosphere and food when it is not used as a party venue. Yesterday we...had the misfortune of attending a faschings party there what a disappointment. This place had the atmosphere of a grave yard only to be surpassed by the boss playing DJ my dog has better taste in music and knows more about getting people to dance. You really know your in the sticks here two hours of faschings music I was almost suicidle. If I had had a gun I would have shot the two so called music makers on the spot. If you wrote the top five things to be a traditional and outstanding German restaurant....the Wirtshause would achieve top grades in all five areas. It has a traditional appearance (real wood wherever you look). They serve regional and national dishes at the level you expect....They offer a number of fine German beers. They have a friendly staff that goes the extra step. And they offer big' platter of food for a reasonable price. The parking lot is about the only thing which you might find as a problem....it's not big and you may have to park down the street. Absolute note on this....you need to make your reservation at least a week ahead of time. Expect both Friday and Saturday to be extrem...

I turned up at the Wirtshaus at 7.30 on a Friday evening with my wife and daughter, with no reservation. The place was buzzing and busy but we were found a table near the bar and given menus straight away. My response to the question...about drinks made it clear my German was limited and the friendly waitress immediately came back with a copy of the menu in English. Food and drink prices seemed very reasonable with a good range of both. We ordered our drinks and they came with the accompaniment of bread and sour cream spread?
