"Husband and I were staying in the adjoining hotel review to follow , and having looked at the prices of the surrounding restaurants , decided to give this one a try as it was reasonably priced in comparison to the more central restaurants.On...the first night we both ordered the Beef Goulash . The Beef was beautifully cooked in a rich gravy and was succulent and tender , not quite sure on the dumpling used to the more British fluffy style , whereas this was a more solid embodiment of a dumpling , nether the less it was a extremely good meal washed down with a nice house wine . On our second night , husband ordered the mixed grill, a good selection of meat , served with roast vegetables , chips and a mayo/ketchup dressing and I settled on a schnitzel, which came with an abundance of potatoes and a healthy dash of redcurrant jelly on the side ..Both dishes again were of a very high standard and my compliments to the chef . I did notice that this restaurant seems to be frequented by a lot of locals , which I think is always a good sign. Now to the restaurant itself , split between a smoking area as you first walk in from the hotel entrance and then around the corner is the main dining room , not affected in anyway by the smoking area , this seems to be quite the norm in Austria .The service was very good and the waitress had a good command of English , I also loved the fact she was in Austrian Dress , dinner took about 10 15 mins after ordering , but we are quite happy to enjoy the ambiance whilst waiting . Both meals come to around the 50 euro mark for 2 people including coffee and drinks ."

beautiful restaurant at an achat hotel. we enjoyed our meal the steak and the lamb were well cooked. the staff was friendly and efficient.

Ein sehr nettes Serviceteam ,tolle Menüs und ausgesprochen österreichische Karte mit kleinen Preisen.. Sowohl zu Mittag als am Abend hier gegessen und immer sehr zufrieden.

Das Wirtshaus zum Hirschen wurde an diesem Abend von einer Reisegruppe besucht. Unsere Servicekraft wurde voll mit den Service im Saal eingeplant. So gab es einige unnötige Wartezeiten. Essen war gut.

On a cold and rainy evening we stopped in because it was near our hotel. We were warmly welcomed and had two great meals. My vienna schnitzel was generous. My spouse was happy with the beef brisket and side dishes. We're happy we stopped.

the waiter is very friendly and eating is excellent. we ordered an salat and a boiled pig with cream spinat that was unexpectedly juicy and delicious! my wife loves the radishes dimmer! portions are big and fortunate we only ordered 1 meat dish!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. Right down the street, 2 minute walk and well worth it. Warm ambience, great wait staff, wonderful food and great service. We really loved this restaurant and suggest you eat at this restaurant. Christmas décor was beautiful.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant as they serve local Austrian food. It was so good that we returned the next evening! It was a nice warm evening so we ate outside in their lovely garden. Service was great and the food was wonderful. The beer was great too. The restaurant is out of the way so mostly locals eat there so you know it's good.

Qualität des Essens war gut, Gastraum nett im traditionellen Stil.Negativ war die lange Wartezeit - Lokal war fast leer, dennoch dauerte es lange bis wir bestellen konnten und bis das Essen dann kam, war eine Stunde verstrichen (hatten eine Grillplatte und ein Wiener Schnitzel - also nichts spezielles). Wir waren allerdings sehr hungrig, daher schauten wir auch genau auf die Uhr.....

popped in here as it was so close to our hotel and we were not disappointed. Foolishly we chose starters and when they arrived we realised what we were in for with regard to portion size.. Mains followed and although we struggled to clear our plates the food was fantastic, Venison stews was gorgeous, the mixed grill excellent, and the bratwurst huge and tasty. Although stuffed we squeezed a pudding in between the three of us. In summary excellent food, good service, very pleasant surroundings and good value for money
