"This restaurant is just up the street from Hirt im Rhyhof where I was staying. A varied and interesting menu so everyone should be able to find something they will like. I had a mixed salad and chicken with pasta in a tomato cream sauce. Very generous portions. The greens were very fresh. Better than any side salad from a US restaurant. The pasta course was too much for me to finished but it was delicious. Prices are typical Swiss (high.) My meal along with a beer and a Coke Zero was 45-50CHF."

"Enttäuschung pur. Nach einem mehrstündigen Flug fuhren meine Familie und ich auf dem Nachhauseweg zum BK nach Frauenfeld. Dort angekommen wagten wir bei der Bestellung einen Chickenburger zu ordern. Anstatt uns darauf hinzuweisen, dass bei BK ihr Chickenangebot eine andere Namensgebung führt (Offensichtliche Verwechslung unsererseits mit McD) und dann dieses aufzählt, entgegnete uns die BK-Mitarbeiterin in einem gehässigen Tonfall, dass sie das BK nicht führen. Nachdem wir der jungen Dame dennoch erklären konnten was wir wollten ging man wiederwillig auf unsere Bestellung ein. Sie reichte mir während der Wartezeit ein Kontaktformular mit dem Imperativ herüber:“Ausfüllen!“ Ich war überrascht von der Art und Weise wie wir als Gäste angegangen und behandelt wurden zumal ich seit Eröffnung dieser Filiale dorthin gehe. Enttäuschung pur!"

"We ate lunch at the US MEX this week. We were a group of eight people and had no problems finding a table even though it was lunch time. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and tasty, although not superb....Simply said you get what you order: not more, not less... However, price value ratio is good, especially compared with other Mexican restaurants in Switzerland. And the servings are really big nobody of our group left the place feeling the least bit hungry. I wouldn't choose this restaurant for a cozy, romantic dinner, as the atmosphere is not what I would wish for such a setting. However, I would return for a lunch anytime."

"A good burger in Switzerland was difficult to find. No LONGER PEOPLE! The search is completed at Steffens. Seriously good at every level. Home made and burgers suitable bread, good meat, super salad and dressing. As good as a burger. Fries are great, although small space would be welcomed more frequently by cooking fresh batches. Even the pull-out packaging has been carefully designed. Double layered cardboard to ensure that no fat or juices prevail. Holes for ventilation so that nothing is sweated and the burger box even ensures that it is fixed and cannot fall apart during transportation. Burgers have done right! Please support a business to do it right."

"Great pizzeria in the middle of Frauenfeld, diagonally opposite Coop City. Large, beautiful garden restaurant underneath the shady plane trees. Very fine food such as penne, pizzas, lasagna, various meat dishes, etc. Very hospitable staff Gladly again R.keller"
