"We called in here when we had a day trip out to to Devils Bridge falls, looked lovely from the outside in a very tranquil setting, surprised how quiet it was, inside it had indoor seating for the cafe, and a gift shop etc for visitors and for the caravan site I assume, toilets were very clean which is always good to see, staff were very friendly, had tea and scone, all very nice, service was good, prices were very low though, quite shocking in these current times that the business can run at such low prices. We came back later for ice creams and cold drinks, I was pleased to see more people there then, most having cooked breakfasts. I would highly recommend this tearoom, having run a tearoom myself for some 25 years I can honestly say I don't take much heed to bad reviews usually done by people who don't have the confidence to say anything at the time, to find out the reasons for issues and rather hide behind a computer screen, or have pleasure in undermining the hard working people of this world. My husband and I will certainly be back again."

Breakfast was cheapest ingredients squeaky with elderly frying oil. Grimmest cup of coffee I’ve ever encountered

My family and I went to The Woodlands Tea Room on July 28th and had a wonderful breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We even walked from the tea room to Devils Bridge. I highly recommend a visit!

We went here for breakfast a few times and the bacon roll is very good. Good coffee and the Welsh cakes are delicious. A special mention about how good they were with our toddler. He was a bit excitable and wanted to explore the shop...

Had a cream tea here. Really not a very good scone. Cafe itself quite basic. One table being used for the children of staff to do drawing etc during school hols, so it felt like being in a community centre rather than a cafe. But it was ok.

We stopped here after a visit to see the Devil's Bridge just down the road. Its a little hidden gem away from the other two popular stopping points, seemed popular with cyclists. Its attached to the campsite and would be brilliant for a coffee or...

Although the cafe and shop are closed at the moment due to COVID, there is a food wagon with hot and cold food available. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There is plenty of outdoor seating (some undercover) and the staff were friendly and...

Went there after going to see the Devil's Bridge attraction. It is very much the traditional tearoom, with good service. We just had tea and cakes, which was beautiful, but the food being served to others looked and smelled just as good. Very reasonable prices.

It is definitely worth taking a short walk from the steam train to avoid the long lines at their cafe that form every time a train arrives. We decided to try their all day breakfast, which was very good. The food quality and portion sizes were excellent. The service was friendly, and the restaurant (including the restrooms) was very clean. I highly recommend this place.

We spent over 5 minutes browsing the menu, only to be informed that there was no hot food available that day. The manager seemed to prioritize their staff over the customers, and we ended up spending £40 at another restaurant down the road. I would not recommend this place at all. The lack of consideration and rudeness we experienced, especially after the lockdown, is unacceptable. Being ignored and treated in such a dismissive manner is ridiculous and this restaurant does not deserve to be in business.

"Great food and been there many times. As a party of 7, with 3 children under 6 years, thought best to book a table. Told on the phone that they don 't take bookings. Arrived early and found a large table, and just as the other 6 were arriving I was told the table was booked! If I 'd known I would have found another cafe. As it was we waited ages for a table with small children milling around, complete with dirty looks from staff. Disappointing. Some suggestions on how you could have dealt with the situation better: 1. Let us stay on the table until another table was ready, as the party for the reserved table did not turn up for over half an hour. 2. Apologise that the table was not clearly marked as reserved. There was a bottle that I noticed much later, where 'reserved ' was written on only one side, which faced the kitchen. 3. The waiter should have mentioned the reservation rather giving me menus and taking a coffee order while I waited. 4. The waiters (yes several, I must have looked like trouble) who turfed me off the table just as my family were arriving could have explained why the table was reserved when i had been unable to reserve a table because, as you said on the phone, you 'don 't take reservations '. You replied that it was reserved for a 'private party ' and when I asked how that differed from a table booking, you kept repeating the words 'private party '. I was none the wiser. 5. An apology would have gone a long way rather than treating me as a difficult customer. 6. You made me feel totally unwelcome at your restaurant. 7. Well done! Your service, or rather the lack of it, has lost a formerly loyal customer. Quite frankly I 'd rather eat at MacDonalds, at least they 're polite to their customers.
