Yates - Carta

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are amazing, and the staff, especially Bob, are very friendly and welcoming. I usually only come on a Saturday night, but I plan on coming more often during the week because the food is just that good.

Great food visit. Visited for lunch and was greeted by friendly team who talked me through items on the menu. Reasonable prices and the food was quickly delivered. Great range of beers and sport on a large screen was a bonus. Worth a visit if in town.

Excellent venue for our Christmas party (50 guests), given our own area of the bar, set up fantastically with full festive decor and accessories. Buffet was delicious (and lots of it), staff were excellent and everyone had a great night. Fantastic value for money all round, thoroughly recommend. Ver carta

Probably in the day it might not be like this but come on Saturday night in there bring your own toilet roll hand sanitiser …. May aswell bring own drink bar staff very slow The toilets are the worst I’ve seen anywhere toilet metal door frame hanging off just above head height what on Earth some one could have their eye out …. I have called in for drinks when I’m in the town and it’s good. Staff are spot on and friendly. I was in a rush and stopped for a quick lunch and knew it wasn’t going to be great. But it was very bad. Chicken curry was frozen with awful rubbery meat, the rice was microwaved and bad. This was worse than a Asda meal. The lasagna was the same just frozen slop with old salad. 0 for food but 2 for the nice staff.

Yesterday i went to Yates, I drink both carling and stella, they are both great Lagers, but i do not like the new carling glasses, so every wear i go i have it in a stella glass, untill today when the bartender and bar manager refused me a stella glass for my carling, I explained to the manager that i have had no problems in other pubs asking for a carling in the glass of my choice, i was given the excuse stella spend more money on there glasses than carling do, and some other stupid excuses. I will not be going there again, i like to have a glass of my choice, not the glass the manager thinks i should have Ver carta

My wife and I decided to have a drink and stopped by this restaurant on Sunday afternoon. There were a few people inside, mostly men watching football. We found a quiet table and ordered a chicken sub and a chicken wrap for £6.99 each, which came with a free soft drink. We upgraded to alcoholic drinks for an additional £1.50 each. The food was served quickly, but the waitress didn't ask if we wanted any sauces and just said 'enjoy' before rushing off. Unfortunately, the food was not good. Both the sub and wrap were dry and chewy, and the chips had no flavor. The drinks were decent, but we won't be coming back anytime soon.

Well what can I say? Went on a night out here for some of my closest friends and had to say what a blast we had! Good music good people and an all time great vibe, the only downside was the queue for the bar, however with atmosphere like that I can understand why us punters were queuing! One thing that did stand out for me was how much it didn't remind me of when I went to the worst bar in the world it was called Oliver Twist Pub in Zagreb Croatia and the waiter was rude too us in a while that was very upsetting. Table booked for 5:30. It was originally 6 but due to a private event and having to leave at 8 the start time was pushed to 5:30. This was a Christmas meal and we had all pre ordered our food. The starters came at about 6:15. No major issues (vegan starters had to be requested as never showed up) Mac and cheese bites were great though. The main did not start getting put out until 7 which when you are having three courses and told to leave by 8 this is where things get problematic.
