Ye Olde Cherry Tree

My family and I visited this restaurant for Sunday Roast. The food was incredibly tasty and the staff were extremely friendly. Penny, our server, was especially kind and provided us with excellent recommendations.

We had a lovely lunch at the pub .we both love our food which for a change from so many other establishments was served hot and very tasty ..I was struck by the quiet professionalism of the staff .Thank you well be back

Arrived with my family for our meal to get rudely told that they are overbooked and we can't dine with them. I wouldn't recommend this venue purely for the attitude that I encountered on the night from the said manager ruined our evening Ver carta

It’s a lovely old traditional pub with fireplace and wood beams offering good food. The staff are very friendly, but unfortunately there are not enough of them so the service is not the best as I only noted 2 waiters running round for a large restaurant.

Pleasant surroundings, mediocre food. Prawn Lobster cocktail distinctly lacking in any notable lobster. Lots of prawns though. Disappointing lack of vegetarian meals. Veggie burger heavy, flavourless stodgy. Did not bother with dessert. Service was fine after considerable wait to be seated despite advance booking.

Went to the pub for lunch with two family members. We were served our drinks immediately upon arrival and ordered our lunch from the table shortly after. The food arrived quickly and was full of flavour. The overall service provided by Sarah was outstanding. Being served by someone who clearly cares about the customer makes such a difference. Will definitely be going back Ver carta

Most courses we requested were not available, fish was dry (over cooked) and chicken not great. Only highlight was the service. Prices for alternative courses eg steaks are very pricey for this class of establishment. Usually we have good night here mainly on a week night , if they are going to be open on Sunday night they need to make more of an effort especially with course choice that is actually available.

Ye Olde Cherry Tree is a unique venue with a great history starting in 1695. The buildings are listed with original beams, low ceiling and stone floors with many nooks and crannies where you can enjoy the food and drink. There are some regular weekly events i.e. quizzes and Sunday evening jazz and swing. The bar staff are attentive both at the bar or when providing table service. With a great selection of drinks and food and whether midday or evening you will find it is a great place to relax and chill.

I visited this restaurant last week and have been meaning to write a review! It has quickly become our go-to spot for drinks or dinner. The food is exceptional, especially the Thai curry prepared by chefs Rick and Tom on that particular day. I also recently enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch prepared by an unknown chef. This establishment is more than just a pub/restaurant; it's the staff that truly make it special. Despite being busy, all the staff are incredibly kind and friendly. The manager is attentive to everything and everyone, and runs a great team. I cannot praise the staff enough, so a big THANK YOU to all! Ver carta
