Yo! Sushi Selfridges, Birmingham

Utterly useful, cold and disinterested staff totally ignoring customers while they chatted amongst themselves and on their phones. Waited 10 mins, only a few other tables eating, ignored then walked out .

We were eating Ramen at Selfridges. It was our first time there. It was really good and we can highly recommend it. The waiter was really nice he even showed some other customers how to use chopsticks correctly.

The service at this restaurant was top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff. The hot food was delicious and arrived promptly to our table. The desserts were also fantastic, and there was a good selection of drinks to choose from. Ver carta

Really enjoyed the experience, although price was a little high the food was great. Great fun but the two seaters are quite cramped when all your food arrives and was unsure to put the waste or empty dishes back on the belt. Would have been nice if staff would notice when walking past that your table was overrun with stacked plates.

I am a regular here because everytime the customer service, food and atmosphere is second to none. It is very relaxed and peaceful there. Situated in the corner of Selfridges, perfect for a meal with friends or even on your own. The food is always made fresh and the staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. My favorite place for some sushi treats!

Used to love Yo Sushi but I won’t be returning. No water, wasabi, ginger, anything on the table! Hardly anything on the belt and it was moving so fast you had to be quick with what you did try and catch! Prices are absolutely ridiculous. A dish that was about .£2.80 pre Covid is now about £5 as an example. I understand prices have risen but not that much, and there is a clear reduction in quality too. Plus everything is ordered using a smart phone now because they have fewer staff. Not exactly a pleasant dining experience. Ver carta

The lack of value is disappointing, but what sets YO! apart is their lack of inclusivity. Their reliance on ordering through an app is impractical for those with poor vision, making it difficult to navigate the menu without glasses. It's bewildering how this is considered an acceptable practice for serving customers. It was interesting to note that the restaurant seemed to cater mostly to a younger demographic, with no one over the age of 45 in sight. I would have rated them 0/5 if possible, but unfortunately, Tripadvisor only allows for a minimum of 1/5. Sorry YO!, but this was a truly awful experience.

Absolutely disappointed with our visit to yo sushi in selfridges in Birmingham, until you change your system I will never return and will guide all of my friends and family to do the same, was greeted and seated then told I needed to order everything online, you go to a restaurant to be waited on, I might as well have gone home and got a delivery, no button anymore to get the attention of any staff, three times I had to get up to speak to a member of staff, one of these times I asked for a spoon and was just pointed to a plastic tray of cutlery, the food on the belt was minimal and uncomfortably warm, the fresh food was lovely but it cost me £34.78 to be plonked on a seat and sort myself out...

We all know yo sushi. I used to be a regular there and have frequented the selfridges branch 100s of times over the last 20 yrs. Yesterday will be the last time i will spend money in one of there establishments. Yes the sushi is not as good as a Japanese fish market, and you never fell you've had value for money but the menu is well rounded and its convenient so we thought we'd grab a quick snack. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was good. We were pointed to a table and when the server came over to ask if we had been in since belt service had resumed we explained we hadn't. He explained that we must pay for belt service and menu products separately? while we looked through the menu... Ver carta
