Breakfast was great. Good that can book on line. Staff very friendly

excellent food and location. we had the pork and pizza. both are very nicely presentedand tasted great.

We’ve been twice now-food, people, ambience all really nice however both times it’s taken about 25/30 minutes to bring out coffees to the table. I appreciate good coffee takes time but it’s just too long to wait.

Lovely new cafe, staff were friendly . The website had said we could get brunch at the time we had our booking, but we were told when we arrived that we couldn't. However the waitress checked with chef who accommodated our meal choice and explained that the timings had been recently changed. Food was tasty, well presented and lovely to have proper leaf tea.

Booked ahead, seated in a corner behind taller tables, asked for a booth and was advised no as not possible for tables of 2. Next 2 walk-in tables seated in booths (both 2 people). When a table left we asked to move near the window. We had 2 breakfasts a tea and a black coffee, our food came before the drinks and cutlery. The food was nice, staff were very busy. £34.20

Usually my experience at Yorks is great. But on this visit it was very disappointing. There seemed to be enough floor staff but not much going on. We had to wait 30 45 minutes to get our brunch. We were going to order another drink but decided not too as there seemed to be much confusion with staff. It wasn’t busy. Usually service is great polite and friendly staff, food serviced quickly. This latest experience will make me think about returning.

We were a party of 10 women for breakfast at 10:30. I had read lots of good reviews about York's so decided to give it a try. I thought the decor and ambience of the place was lovely and there was plenty of space for us and around us, so we didn't feel squashed in. The food was great. The only thing I would say is that the service was very very slow. Some of the party were a little disgruntled as it even took quite a while just to take our orders. The restaurant didn't feel that full either. Maybe there was a reason for this and maybe it's not the norm for York's, and therefore I have still given a good score. Personally, it didn't matter to me that it took so long as I was enjoying myself j...
