We ordered a takeaway tonight for the first time from this restaurant and we really had a bad...experience. The only reason stars was achieved was down to the delivery time being reasonable. Sadly, we are actually an Indian family who has good taste and an understanding of the spices and flavours this restaurant should try to deliver. They are catering only for people who may not have that understanding and its a real shame, and bad for the reputation of good quality Indian restaurants everywhere : Oh well, down the drain and resorting to chicken nuggets (which have more flavour :"

Really consistent and good quality Indian Restaurant! We have been dining here for a few years now... food is always very fresh and the menu has all the ‘classics’ which are cooked to perfection. The actual restaurant decor is very nice as well and if...your a gin fan then this is extra special, with a huge selection to choose from.

Visited here with friends and only partially enjoyed the experience. The food was pretty average and my Lamb Garam Masala was nowhere near as spicy as it should have been and the pilau rice was served lukewarm. This is obviously a very popular place to...go and the place was packed out. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly... if only the food was as good. Shame, I had high hopes.

Excellent restaurant, perfect to relax in before a day of flying from Stansted. Staff friendly and accommodating. Coped perfectly with our crazy two year old running everywhere. Food was superb and they were happy to make changes for my fussy wife. Excellent choice of curries,...especially the Ghurka’s Revenge!, good nan breads and great onion bhajis. All in the most gorgeous decor sitting on countless glitzy cushions.

After months away from Stortford I had a wonderful meal at Zara’s on Tuesday September. Although a wedding party was taking place the restaurant they graciously accommodated our table of eight. The service was excellent, the food exquisite. I had been looking forward...to the lamb hiri mirchi and it certainly didn’t disappoint. All the dishes were tasty and so subtly spiced and expertly prepared. A great evening was had by all.
