"So we went to this because you young people rated it quite high, which made me check it myself, and I must say I agree with you all. I went for the vindaloo, personally as chili head, my personal preference would have been to have it a bit more spicy, but it was in the did quite sharp, but I like it very spicy, especially because I eat raw chilis, carolina reapers etc. the dish itself was very tasty and had a lot of substance, sometimes they go to orten and it’s just thick’ but it was also very tasteful, a top notch dish. my cocos rice could have done with a little more coconut flavor, don't get me wrong, you could say it was a cocospy rice, I just have a little more in mine, but I would like to order it again and again. the saag aloo was tasteful and very well joined, with perfectly made kartoffeln both in this and vindaloo, which also had a good amount of huh in it, and I forgot to mention, but it could have been a bit more tender. both my friends dishes were also well filled with meant and other relevant ingredients, and I was sure they were both very delicious. my last little note, is that for the price I would like to have seen somewhat larger portions, we usually pay about £15 to £20 less than we here for similar dishes and drinks. overall a very good experience and I will go back here, especially to taste everything they can eat on Sunday!"

The food was excellent, and it was all served with charm and professionalism. The staff were delightful and dinner couldn’t have been better. Definitely the best curry house in the area.

Weve recently moved to Capel and finally got to ZayNab Absolutely outstanding, the best Indian we've had in years. Yes it's more expensive but my word it's delicious staff are superb. Well worth the money We will be back

absolutely incredible eating! best Indians we've ever had! They took a time to get out, but we prefer it because we don't feel rushed, but just make sure they have enough time when they go for a meal! very good service, nice staff and great eating!

Another great experience dining here. Sam and his staff are very polite and the food is delicious especially the lamb bhuna. They always ask after my son Charlie who likes to order his takeaway chicken tikka masala and rice from here. Perfect every time we visit. Thanks guys!

We would highly recommend Zeynab. You should go. We booked for 8 of us with family who live close by and go fairly regularly. There were a range of tastes (3 kids) which were catered for admirably. It was great food, delivered at our pace and with a smile and a joke. Thank you. It was a great evening.

Zaynab Cuisine is a wonderful Indian restaurant for dine-in and takeaway. Delicious as always. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Occasionally the service can be slow for takeaway so I recommend calling ahead for takeaway orders. We love coming here, so close to our family’s neighbourhood! @spiffingtravels Ver carta

wow, what a surprise and yes that was a recommendation from tripadvisor. again not in the tip 10, in the did number 16 of 286. looking for someone with good reviews to eat and our trip or distance to the venue not a problem. long story short, we come to the side of the a12 to see how a closed little chef looks. with the clouds that my wife wants to gather and before the rain back home. I have to feed and open the door and in and so far we have seen a poster for a traveling elvis. intreagued? it was like we saw the Elvis Impersonator 9 years ago. more doors, we go in. the room in front of us is fully laid by tables and waits for the to serve. no guests or employees in themselves, I call out a...

A Great Discovery . Went because of the great reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Lovely venue, which filled up as we ate (we had booked early). Non intrusive music playing in the background. Waiters were friendly and welcoming. Food on the menu offered traditional indian cuisine but also some less predictable items. The food was well presented, plentiful and delicious. The prices were reasonable. We both had chicken tandoori to start then chicken tikka biryani and lamb madras with special rice, onion bahji and a garlic nan bread also two glasses of diet coke each and generous coffees which all came to £58.70. They do have a dessert menu which comprises of various ice creams but we were very full...

"I hope we were just unlucky, and I feel sad writing this, but it wasn't the best experience this weekend. We stayed overnight and had the tasting menu. The Creppy family are departed a while now, and the staff such as Henri that stayed on are long gone, they set unbelievably high standards which were always going to be hard to meet. We loved the room we stayed in, but the rest of the experience was a bit awkward. I feel sorry for them as it was super hot and it must be difficult to get staff at the moment, but when you have paid £500 for one night and food inc wine then things can be a bit disappointing. From the start we could tell that they were under the cosh, the manager was sick, and we were told repeatedly how busy they were tonight. We asked to eat 30 mins later than booked which they said would help. We ordered a half bottle of champagne but had to wait about 15 minutes as the fridge was broken at it would not be cold. It arrived and wasn't cold enough really, then after 10 minutes in the ice bucket it was. Simultaneously other guests were told the coffee machine was also broken. A bit of a shame as we were celebrating a birthday and it sort of spoiled the moment waiting for a drink. Then ordered a 2014 Pomerol which to be honest I found really rather average, but that is the luck of the draw. The food was quite good, but only one course impressed us, the trout was good. The staff seem very downbeat to the point of it being awkward, one told us and another table to make as much mess as we like as it was her last shift. Others seemed very awkward and lacking confidence/a smile. Again, hard to get quality staff at the moment, but there seemed to be a lack of pride/confidence in what is being delivered. I also asked for cheese to finish off, in the past they had a glorious cheese cart with a huge selection of great cheeses. I accept maybe it was too hot for this, but I was simply given a plate of three cheeses, no one asked me if I would like to choose anything or for example do I like blue cheese. Then when it was delivered my wife tried one of them, liked it so asked what it was, and they didn't know what the cheese was which is probably not what they aspire to. makes me sad as the cheese at the Great House is stuff of legend. More minor stuff: Breakfast wise the coffee in the percolator was way too strong even for someone who likes strong coffee, a tiny shot of milk was not enough so we asked for more, would have been nice to be offered hot milk to make Cafe Au Lait etc. Also another minor point, the soap and shower gels were quite horrible, they stick to you and don't wash off, not something I'm usually bothered about, but the half empty containers looked like they had be refilled with something not very nice, or it was just never very good. When we checked out I think the manager may have been back, he did not ask us once how our stay had been so we had no real chance to say anything. We tried to be understanding and of course being British nothing was really a problem for us, but when you've spent £500 for a birthday it was all a bit disappointing and not nearly up to par. I sympathise that it might have been a difficult night, but to be honest it would have come off better if I hadn't been reminded every few minutes that they were so busy and everything going wrong. I'm not even sure that they were that busy, the terrace was out of bounds and the restaurant was 3/4 full. Matters were drawn in to focus the next day when we went to the Weavers Spa, and also for lunch at the Crown in Stoke by Nayland, staff were cheerful, helpful and great at both of these local places. Sorry for writing this negative review which I feel sad to have written about a place we used to love. Rooms: 4 Service: 2 Location: 4"
