"This place was absolutely exceptional, the food was amazing and the staff were extraordinary. The first impressions were fine dining but we were not dressed for the occasion. The staff made us feel very at ease and gave us great recommendations! We wanted pesto pasta from the region and we ordered off menu as they said they could accommodate at the time. This little touch and detail was something that usually doesn’t happen in restaurants, the food was absolutely sublime and the wine was very tasty. They pride themselves in creating a relaxed dining environment, they come to the table and finish serving the dish in front of your table. This was very impressive to watch and also some dishes came with their own twist. The owner/manager came around to ask how we found the service and also where we were from. This was very friendly and made us feel like we were welcomed as a customer! Great experience and we will be back! : P.S lemon and Basil sorbet was incredible"

Really delightful and delicious lunch al fresco with excellent service by Christian. Nice ingredients just prepared. But definitely worth it. Pesto pasta, Insalata mozzarella, fresh sea bass all recommended!

3/8 /22 ritornato dopo pochi anni. sempre benvenuto e discreto, ottima qualità degli ingredienti. combinazioni di gouves e combinazioni di profumi ... sapientemente equilibrati....senti i sapori di Genova. e non solo. tagliare all'uovo con aragosta esemplare. Congratulazioni presto.

Our server Javier was outstanding. He had genuine recommendations with great wine selection pairings. As we celebrated my wife’s birthday, he prepared a surprise table service dessert as well as the most amazing fresh pesto lasagna we’ve ever experienced; all with elegant surroundings and an extremely attentive staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Genoa.

Early in our 2 week trip through Italy and France, visiting several locations, we spent 1 night in Genoa. Since Valentine's Day we were looking for a nice restaurant and were happy to find Zeffirinos! A family restaurant since 1939, it was all you hope to be an elegant, fine restaurant. Nice, well managed by man and woman, Marco and Michelle Zeffirino, tasty and with fabulous service. It was unforgettable for the occasion and experience. Make a detour when in the area.

Of glorious past and ill kept present. Though the culinary skills in an essentially weak menu is well served, the clientele is touristy with no discerning capacity, noisy deportment and sartorially too. Wine selection adequate but pompously bound. Unduly expensive but most of all a glorioso fifth generation boast long oversold. Salad meticulously prepared on the table of refined value. The mandilla pesto was good and the tiny seabass fillet was well taken care off. Service was clumsy from the part of the ownership that overmeddles displaying concern for the customers eliminating serene elegance that may be required. Side table preparation may impress but the missing link is the local cliente...

"Ambiente carino ma per il resto lasciare perdere, non è il vostro mestiere. Siamo arrivati senza prenotazione ieri sera, lunedì . Tutto chiuso essendo prefestivo (ponte di ferragosto . Entriamo, locale mezzo vuoto (già questo faceva presagire.. quindi ci fanno sedere. Ordiniamo 2 primi e 2 pizze. La cameriera ci avvisa che ci sarà da attendere 30 minuti o più per le pizze in quanto stanno facendo anche asporto e hanno solo un pizzaiolo; il mio compagno protesta un po’, dato il locale mezzo vuoto e dato che nella ristorazione andrebbe servita prima la clientela seduta al tavolo…ma va beh . È solo mezzora per cui decidiamo comunque di rimanere. Dopo una ventina di minuti arrivano i primi e ovviamente non ancora le pizze. A quel punto facciamo presente che ci terremmo quantomeno a mangiare assieme e dopo un paio di scaricabarili una signora dominicana (suppongo là proprietaria ?? inizia ad urlare specificando la sua competenza in quanto ha avuto sempre locali ecc ecc e già qui sarebbe da stendere un velo pietoso… A me non sembra proprio che la signora possa aver avuto locali di successo. E non solo per la questione delle pizze. Al massimo può aver avuto delle bettole se insegna ai camerieri a fare determinate cose….ho visto coi miei occhi: il cameriere passare il parmigiano (giallo e con accenni di muffa dal nostro tavolo direttamente al tavolo dei nuovi arrivati il cameriere riapparecchiare un tavolo senza aver avuto nè L’accortezza di cambiare il coprimacchia monouso o quantomeno pulirlo . (Abbiamo fatto caso che moltissimi sono sporchi Servizio agghiacciante. Ma non è finita qui! Passiamo alle pizze: dopo 5, e giuro 5 minuti di numero sono diventate di gomma, oltre ad essere salatissime. Le trofie salvabili, anche se un po’ troppo al dente. Spaghetti alle vongole che nuotavano nell’olio. Almeno le patatine fritte erano decenti! Giuro, mai fatte recensioni negative, ma questo posto è da evitare come la peste ."
