This was incredible. We went for the expensive tasting menu, as we wanted the wagu beef. It a as better than expected. Service, quality of food and ambience was incredible. Thoroughly recommend and would go again

It was a beautiful experience and deserves thanks and praise for the kind workers, the very delicious food, and the sight of the chef preparing the food with skill and love. It was very delicious. As a nutritionist and food safety assessor, the workers have a high rating for cleanliness.

Luckily got a table outside, the service was great, staff really friendly, the food! WOW where do I start, the tempura prawns and scallop skewers for starters were delicious, the lamb cutlets and the chicken and spring onion skewers were cooked to perfection full of flavour as was the asparagus and the rice! This is a vibrant all happening restaurant with a buz about it. It's not the place for a romantic meal with the love of your life, as you may find yourself sitting next to people you don't know. It is though a top quality restaurant with fantastic food and fast and friendly service. It's in modern lux setting with a central open kitchen that's full-on. The place doesn't need this review, it's purely for your benefit.

I visited Roka for my birthday with another person and we were served by a waiter named Deborah. The food was outstanding, especially the black cod which was perfectly cooked. I also highly recommend the banana dessert. Deborah took the time to explain all the dishes to us and made us feel welcome by engaging in friendly conversation without being overbearing. She suggested delicious dishes and ensured our wine glasses were always filled. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely be returning.

I visited Roka two years ago and had a great time, so I was excited to return. Unfortunately, my latest experience was a letdown. We were seated downstairs, where the atmosphere felt more like a nightclub with loud music. The table next to us was rowdy, making it impossible to have a conversation. The chairs were uncomfortable with no backs, and the restroom was filthy. The service was slow, and we had to remind the staff about our orders multiple times. Despite the excellent food, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the high prices. I do not plan on going back. Ver carta

Visited for lunch on Sunday. It was actually very quiet. I have been here quite a few times before on a variety of occasions. Spicy edamame was great; special of salmon tataki very good and recommended. Nigiri good, but nowhere near as good as Umu, which we have also been to recently. Lamb chops and asparagus also good. When I was last here they had lots of rice hot pots etc. Also one of the best dishes I have ever had was grilled quail. And the sharing plate of fruit for dessert was amazing. I can’t help feeling that this meal really did not hit those high notes but it was still very nice.

Arrived early for dinner, due to possible side effects of one of the multiple rail strikes. We went downstairs to Shochu for a drink in a great setting and friendly staff to await our companions. What a great idea that turned out to be! Shochu set a great tone for the whole evening. Roka has a superb, busy atmosphere with great food. Assistance from the well trained table staff allowed us to choose wisely and try new things. All the food was beautifully presented and cooked, or not if raw ! The table’s favourite choice was eggplant with Sesame miso and katsuobushi yum . Will be back soon and bring new people to have a great time too.

We went for the premium tasting menu the food was wonderful and we had a great evening. I've just been looking at the amazing pictures on the gallery of the TripAdvisor page and yes, the presentation was as immaculate as that, it really was that good so many tastes and textures! Our main (more senior) server was excellent, however one particular server was not up to the standard I imagine Roka expects he didn't explain the dishes like the others did, just mumbled a few words and actually looked the other direction when he put them down zero engagement even when I tried to smile and catch his eye.
