Wir kamen an einem Regentag, sodass man leider nicht draußen sitzen konnte. Im Lokal waren erst nur 2 Plätze an der Theke frei. Später haben wir zum Essen am Stammtisch gesessen. Bedienung war freundlich und flott (trotz Regen), und die Frikadelle a la Meyer mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat lecker.

One of the oldest houses in Berlin (although reconstructed, like much of the city), Zum Nussbaum offers typical Berliner cuisine. Copious and hearty! We had dinner at a sidewalk table, on a lovely place quite typical of Germany (a church, a fountain, a lime-tree), not overwhelmingly touristy ; good food, good beer, good prices.

Delicious Dunkel (dark beer), potentially one of my favorites in Berlin. The beer was smooth with excellent flavor, just delicious! The only food I ate here was a grilled sausage which was also great. I would have given 5 stars but twice when I tried...to get into the restaurant I was greeted with some harsh looks and just a flat out No so the I had to reduce it to 4 stars for what at-least felt like being turned away for being American.
