Zum Szultenburger - Carta

It used to be a restaurant I visited every time when in Goettingen, not anymore. It has gotten too specialized in meat, not German cuisine anymore. What is it now? Polish or Balkan cuisine?

Great place to grab a bite with friends and experience true German cuisine. The schnitzel is some of the best I have had, and good selection of beer and wine. If you’re in the city for one night this would be must.

I found zum szultenburger on the main street, very tipical gasthaus with a long list of plates. I have chosen gulasch with spezle and a big beer. The food is excellent and abundant. It's also very cheap, recommended Ver carta

We ordered just simple menus. The service was quick and fine. The meal was huge and the meat was of good quality. Unfortunatelly my son broke a glass. They did not make any problem of it, but I was not happy at all. Sorry!

My go-to for schnitzel. Everything else I’ve tried good too. Staff is awesome. Always packed. For a group you might want to make a reservation. Great little spot, not too fancy but perfect for a nice dinner. Recommend to anyone.

We ordered a schnitzel which arrived super fast and was super nice. However it came with the wrong side dish. Then the drinks arrived more than minutes later... My boyfriend's dish never arrived: when I was almost finished with my dish they asked him...to wait more minutes for his dish or order something else. Waiters seemed de-organized, our table was broken and they only accept cash. We asked for the bill and still had to wait more than before getting the bill. Ver carta

We were here in an early evening and the restaurant was very busy. The staff are very attentive (I saw an Asian couple actually given chopsticks and the food comes very quickly. Despite the speed, it is fresh and HUGE. My Schnitzel was excellent and...vast cm across and clearly just breaded and fried. Prices are very reasonable and I would recommend the restuarant to anyone. Just be aware: This is not anything fancy this is the concept of a restaurant/Wirthaus in its purest form which is very good indeed!

It's busy, it's loud, it's crowded... but it's authentic! We had no reservation and were in luck: we got the last two chairs available. Slightly overwhelmed by the array of schnitzels on offer, we went for the standard' Jägerschnitzel with mushroom cream sauce. We were...not disappointed, just slightly worried the table wouldn't be big enough. Huge, but delicious, schnitzels! The place to be for some local charme cuisine. After paying (by the way: amazingly good price for value) we were kindly sent on our way with a delicious schnaps for the road. An evening to remember...

I was surprised that this was listed as a budget restaurant because the meals are mostly still at least However, they’re huge, so they’re a good value for the money. There’s a wide array of schnitzels with different types of sauces. The menu has...various other meats too. What it lacks is much of a vegetarian entree unless there happens to be a seasonal specialty like asparagus. Given how good most German restaurants have gotten about vegetarianism, it surprises me that they don’t offer much more than sides. There have been multiple times my husband and I have skipped this restaurant because there’s nothing for him. The restaurant is always busy, so it can be hard to get in without a reserva... Ver carta
