"We took 2 meals in a weekend in this place. The team is at the top of the kitchen on the terrace and the boss of the place watches its guests as well as its staff with the same kindness. The menu changes recurringly and offers (except for the child menu only fresh products. Everything is well presented (without chichi and gouteux (in all authenticity). I recommend the cheese tray rather than a dessert because the tray is rich and contains some beautiful local products. Really a great experience for me and my friends!"

"Great surprise. We've come a little by chance for dinner. The welcome was very nice. the menu entry-plat-dessert is at an unbeatable price for the evening euros), for Parisians that we are in any case, and excellent. We took an aperitif served with olives, then chose the paste (a little fine water), an excellent duck sauté with olives served with delicious fresh pasta, very copious and hot, and delicious desserts: excellent tiramisu and delicious chocolate fondness, not too sweet, really good. "My husband and I had a great final dinner in France here. We made our reservations through TheFork. We stayed outside of Amboise and were delighted the restaurant was a bit north of the castle so we could skip the center of town crowds and traffic to get there. The service was friendly and prompt by French standards. We started with glasses of delicious local sparking wine, and I had an equally good local red with dinner. We were served two amuse bouches, one was nut-based and the other was guacamole. The foie gras was creamy and flavorful, especially with the fig jam. There was not quite enough toasted brioche to go with it, but I just switched to the bread served with the meal. My husband had the fried burrata with salsa which was also wonderful. Watch it though because it is served quite warm! We shared two delicious main plates: the cassolette of hake with a shellfish sauce and zucchini risotto and the filet of beef with morel sauce and gratin dauphinois and tomatoes Provencal. The beef was tender and flavorful, which was a pleasant change from the chewy beef we had been served elsewhere on our trip. We finished the meal with a baba au rum served with a shot glass of what was billed as a mojito but seemed like pure rum to me. While I would have preferred a mojito, rather than drinking the shot, I simply poured the contents onto my plate so the cake absorbed it."

"For my first visit. I have nothing to say about this brewery, said crêperies. Good value for tourists. Re: visit 20/01/2024 Hello people. Me back on a trip to the region after 5 months I'll be back in this place, I liked their reception, and their tables. But I notice one thing. That my snails are not at all the same as the first time. "Nous aurions pu nous limiter à lire les mauvais avis et du coup nous priver d'y aller...hors nous avons préférer nous rendre compte nous- memes. Ce restaurant est accueillant tant dans la cuisine qu'il propose très gouteuse, joliment présentée mais aussi dans l'accueil des deux charmants messieurs.Les assiettes sont garnies, la salle est agréable avec un grand parking et terrasse extérieure ou nous avons pu profiter du soleil grace au serveur qui a acceptée que l'on termine ce bon repas en nous servant le café dehors."

"Notre journée à Amboise étant scindée en deux parties avec la visite du château le matin et le Clos Lucé l'après-midi, nous ne voulions pas perdre trop de temps pour le déjeuner. Nous sommes tombés sur cette boulangerie toute proche de la tour de l'horloge et nous avons choisi la formule sandwich + boisson+ dessert à emporter pour 7€. Sandwich excellent avec un très bon pain que l'on peut aussi choisir, ce qui signifie que le sandwich est composé devant vous.On a un choix assez varié dans le contenu de son sandwich, de même pour les desserts. Comme la formule était à emporter, la personne assurant le service, au demeurant très professionnelle (notamment concernant l'hygiène) nous a emballé notre commande comme si cela devait être un cadeau. Nous avons pu déguster notre déjeuner au bord de la Loire avant de reprendre notre visite de la ville. Une boulangerie vraiment à recommander."

"We were sent there by the concierge of our hotel because it was near the light show at the castle we were going to see.The restaurant looked nice but the service was rude since the beginning and lacked of patience with younger adults.Worst part of it all, five out of our 12 people party got FOOD POISONING!!!! Kids included! Some ordered filet mignon, one ordered canard and one ordered entrecôte, all of them ended up with diarrhea and vomiting all night long! Something must be very bad with the kitchen, this never happened to me before! I know it was bad luck but I would stay away from this restaurant for sure!"

La Breche understood my needs and created a wonderful symphony of flavours outside their daily carte that looked stunning in presentation and satisfied my taste buds. "Perspective: We are an American couple, were in France for our honeymoon, and I speak a little French. We spent two nights in Amboise and that was one of the two places where we had dinner. In the first night we couldn't get a table, but the next day we made a reservation in the afternoon. The concierge at our hotel recommended it, but we were a bit alarmed when we checked the Yelp reviews. We went anyway and it was great. Other Yelp reviews have complained about the service, and I will only point out that it really helps here (as many places in France) if you at least try to speak French. Also, you need to understand that they have different expectations, how quickly the meal progresses, such as / to give you the bill, etc. I don't remember what to be honest, but I think it was good? The main courses were excellent. I had duckbeat and my wife had steak. Steak was very good (better than others in France). The duck possession was probably the best dish I had on the whole trip. Dessert was also delicious. You have good local wines, and you can get a half-bottle carafe if you want to save a few euros. It was a bit expensive, but since Amboise is a small tourist town that seems typical. We would definitely recommend eating here."

Les groupes de touristes passent avant... et de toute manière il n'y a pas d'organisation ! "Lovely restaurant tucked down a side street off the main street that runs along by the chateau. Well worth finding it if you can but need to book - it was packed from 7.30 onwards, not surprisingly as the food was delicious especially if you like meat (there is fish too if you don't). We had a small table in the garden at the back which was ideal on a warm evening, Both of us had the lamb shanks in a thyme sauce - delicious and so tender, falling off the bone. Definitely recommend."

"4/08/2017, soir, 3 pers., 59€70, facture 85789. Passer les pizzérias du bord de Loire pour trouver ce petit restaurant à l'ambiance intimiste. Le décor intérieur est typique: vieilles poutres, mur de briques... Tables un peu serrées. Service (serveur/serveuse) jeune, dynamique, extrêmement poli (très apprécié)... hygiène respectée : le serveur se lave les mains après avoir caressé un chien ! La salade : Spéciale l'Ancrée (16€) : jambon, saucisson, fromage, salade... est bonne et très copieuse. La cocotte Touraine aux rillettes (13€50) : bonne et quantité suffisante sinon bonjour les kilos, la galette tartiflette (13€50) : très bonne. Dessert autour de 5 € avec l'excellente galette au caramel... Simple, bon, sympa, prix corrects pour une zone touristique....à recommander."

"Avis aux amateurs de cuisine et vins....n'y allez surtout pas !Je m'étonne des si bons avis....?Arrivé pour 21h30 (après avoir réservé), nous étions les seuls convives français (5 tables hic) de ce restaurant qui veut jouer la carte de resto branché.....mais pour touristes peu scrupuleux de la qualité de notre cuisine.Plats trop cuits, un carré d'agneau qui n'en est pas un (sic), un vin 4/5 degrés au dessus de sa température bonne à boire, insipide et cher.Ce restaurant est vivement à déconseiller.....d'ailleurs nous avons quitter la table au milieu du repas !!!!.....une 1ère en 25 années de bons plaisirs de la table en France comme à l'étranger."
