"Das Restaurant Trudelkeller ist ein echter Geheimtipp! Das Lokal ist ein bisschen versteckt in der Badener Altstadt und mit französischem Flair eingerichtet. Man wird von der Wirtin warmherzig empfangen. Ich habe den Linsensalat mit Geissenkäse als Vorspeise und das Lammkarree als Hauptspeise genommen, da wird mit frischen Produkten gekocht, einfach fein! Beim Wein habe ich mich für den Gattinara aus dem Piemont entschieden, was speziell war, ist das die Wirtin mir mehrere Weine zum verkosten gegeben hat, sowas habe ich selten erlebt. Last but not least: der Espresso ist ausgezeichnet!"

"The wonderful people of Grosser Alexander really deliver on their promise “make fine dining fun again”. We ordered the big menu which consisted of 6 wonderfully crafted masterpieces containing the best products spring has to offer. All the ingredients are locally sourced. The super friendly staff was extremely attentive but in a wonderfully laid back way that felt less then restaurant and more like old friends. That the dishes are served by the chef personally makes the whole experience even more intimate. To summit all up I have to say that this is probably the best food experience I’ve ever had in my home Canton Aargau and the dishes also compare favorably with the big wigs on the national level. But it’s not only the food! Every detail of the experience is executed with so much passion. I really hope that in the next Gault Millau Niklas and his team will get the 16 points that they deserve!"

"War zum Mittagessen im Restaurant Tomate. Ich hatte dort ein Fitnessteller mit Poulet, einfach aber perfekt angerichtet mit sehr feinem Hausdressing und Pizzabrot dazu. Im Salat waren etwa 180 Gramm Poulet in Streifen geschnitten, Tomatenscheiben, Karottenschnitze, Mais und Kopfsalat gemischt mit Feldsalat. Sehr freundlicher Service und das alles für rund 25 Chf. Ich kann es nur empfehlen."

"Beautiful restaurant with authentic Thai cuisine! Such nice people there and the food tastes like in Thailand. Chef, service and kitchen conjure up joy during this time. Inside it's like a chalet, big. Space for a good 40 people, plus another 40 outside. Sitting outside is a must when the weather is nice. The food was very good. Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome, where not : Parking: Has about 20 parking spaces, carpooling recommended. Free parking. There is more downstairs, but you would have to pay there."

"Die Pizza war schrecklich der Teig war wie Gummi und der Belag war sehr lieblos auf der Pizza platziert. Die Peperonchini lagen samt Stiel darauf und alles andere sah wie ein ungeordneter Haufen aus. Das Brot zum Salat war auch nicht frisch, es war scheinbar kühl gelagert worden und war entsprechend klebrig und geschmacklos. Auch der Salat war nur mittelmässig.Dem Geschäftsführer fehlt Herz und Liebe zu seinem Beruf. Der Service lässt auch einige Wünsche offen. Nie wieder The pizza was awful the dough was rubbery and the toppings were placed on the pizza very carelessly. The chili peppers were on top with their stalks and everything else looked like a disorderly heap. The bread with the salad wasn't fresh either, it had apparently been stored in a cool place and was accordingly sticky and tasteless. The salad was only mediocre. The manager lacks heart and love for his job. The service also leaves something to be desired. Never again"

"Habe schon einige Male von dem Lokal gehört, insbesondere dass es dort gute Pizzen gibt. Das Lokal an sich herzig eingerichtet und gemütlich, wenn man von den Fettflecken an den Wänden und auf den Speisekarten absieht. Die Bedienungen freundlich, aber sehr langsam und etwas zerstreut.Wir wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass es nur die drei Menüs aus der Speisekarte zu bestellen gibt, oder einzelne Speisen daraus. Pizzen gäbe es am Abend nicht.Wir haben dann aus den Menüs bestellt und es war auch gut, aber eigentlich überhaupt nicht das, worauf ich Lust hatte.Sehr enttäuschend war dann, dass an dem einen Tisch dann plötzlich Bruschetta serviert wurden und die Personen am Nachbartisch ohne Probleme Pizza bestellen konnten! Unverständlich, wenn uns ganz klar gesagt wird es gäbe nur die drei Menüs und rundherum serviert man dann doch anderes.Das bestellte Tiramisu kam dann am Schluss auch nicht, so haben wir dann bezahlt und den Dessert in einem anderen Lokal gegessen. Für mich der erste und letzte Besuch."

"Egal ob kurz alleine am Mittag, als Paar romantisch oder als Gruppe heiter am Abend oder als Gesellschaft: Wir wurden nie enttäuscht! Das Essen überzeugt stets durch Qualität, Frische und Kreativität, die Preise sind absolut fair, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und der Balkon im Sommer ein Hit zum verweilen. "A 10 is a little high, as it is also a bit expensive, but the food was good, the portions were generous, the service was attentive, even if I think it took about an hour from ordering until we received the mains, but there were no mistakes and it was easy to get the server's attention, and the atmosphere was nice. 2 in our group had the ribs, which were really tender. We also had a steak, duck and a hamburger and all were very good. There was no room for dessert!"

"das positive vorweg, danke das auch sonntags mitten in der Badener Altstadt empfangen wird und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter sich um einen kümmern. die Küche lustiger mix aus Italien und Indien welches auch von Indern vor Ort bestellt und genossen wird (sicher ein Kompliment wegen dem warmen Wetter bestellen wir Salat mit Zander/knusperrolle mit lamm. korrekt gemachter einfacher Mischsalat mit v a viel Kohlsalaten. preislich sicher am oberen limit da die zugabe zum Salat recht klein ausfällt so sollte man wohl bei 19.50 liegen, statt 22 25fr. statt gemäss karte mangochutney gabs die übliche sweet&sour Sauce in minitöpfchen im Salat halt einfach auch nicht wirklich praktisch. besonders schade: kein lokaler wein! 1 Weißwein glasweise muss möglich sein, das lokal bietet ja auch nicht nur italienische Küche an. etwas mehr Verbundenheit mit dem Standort, mitten in den Rebbergen gegenüber wäre fast schon Pflicht! gerade bei 8. pro glas wein auch kein Problem. ach ja für den preis wünschte ich mir das servieren aus 7dl Flasche am Tisch! (wenn es den wenigstens aus 7dl ausgeschenkt wurde? . dagegen faire carraffe Wasser für 2. . insgesamt schade, ich hätte gerne besser bewertet, doch für sehr gut fehlt halt zu viel...."

"this restaurant was opened in a short time. so they still have time to improve. the quality of sushi is top, but also the price. gyoza with cocktail sauce is just a nothing. udon was the worst thing I ever had, the nudel has the consistency. panna cotta. and they serve udon with bark meat. the amount of beef was huge, but the beef is not typical of udon, and generally Japanese cuisine. I had expected that I had authentic Japanese green tea, but they had just bottled tea mixed with honey. sugared is not a little japanese would drink. my conclusion: there is much to improve if this restaurant wants to be a good Japanese restaurant. the chef should take his job more seriously. but as mentioned, it was opened in short. I will give them another visit in a few months."

"the anticipation of a fine lunch on a great cultural scene was huge. so disappointing the lunch in the restaurant according to own experience. the food selection is a bit leaner. it was difficult to find something special. (-:for this price-class (menu: gordon bleu with only pommes frites for 41.00 fr.) you should hope something nice, but unfortunately nothing. the teller looked fade and empty. If you would like to have it, you would have to order it separately, and definitely with a price. in my view, eating is a very high price."

"Positiv: Die Speise- sowie Getränkeauswahl ist hervorragend. Qualitativ hochwertige Produkte, zu einem für mich angebrachten Preis werden hier auf der Karte angeboten. Es hat für jeden ewtas (eierlegende Wollmichsau), doch genau da fangen die Probleme an. Negativ: Die Lokalität war bei meinem letzten Besuch sehr gut gefüllt, der Chef hatte sich mit der Personalplanung vollkommen verschätzt. Gerade mal 4 Mitarbeiterinnen waren im Service tätig für ca 250 Gäste. Keine Chance für den Staff einen vernünftigen Service zu gewährleisten. Wenn man an der Bar einen Gin Tonic bestellt, wird irgendetwas gemacht, es wird nicht aktiv verkauft und auch nicht nachgefragt, was für einen Gin man möchte, btw es hat 8 verschiedene Gin-Sorten. Viel Spass beim Lagerumschlag. Jedoch hat das Personal gar keine Zeit zu fragen, da sie massiv unterbelegt sind. Der Chef selbst hat auf mich und meine Kollegen mehrfach sehr gereizt und unsympathisch reagiert, sobald man eine Frage gestellt hat. Auch wird man nach dem äussern beurteilt und behandelt, wer bekommt gute Tische, wer wird wie schnell und mit welcher Aufmerksamkeit bedient, etc etc. Gefährlich....Man müsste dringend eine bessere Planung der Mitarbeiter vornhemen und auch eine Verkaufsschulung anstreben, man könnte ja dem Gast noch etwas verkaufen, wenn man das will..Werde mir schwer überlegen wiederzukommen, da sich dieser Eindruck schon mehrfach bestätigte.Schade....."

"The card reader was forgotten on my first (and only) order, so I couldn't pay. Afterwards I wrote an email, thanked them for the really delicious food and asked for the payment details. I was very kindly offered to pay the outstanding bill (42 francs) with the next order. So far so good. After two weeks I received a really nasty email telling me I should finally pay my bill. Great, I wanted to, Globi. I was asked to pay the bill within 7 days or legal action will be taken. Weird shop. Definitely the last time I ordered there. Burger was good. But the operator seems to be a bit confused...."
