"This restaurant is away from the central part of Bern. It is an attractive appearing restaurant, it has a staff that is very welcoming and the food is great. We enjoyed our first night at this restaurant so much that we returned the next night. The menu has a wide variety of options. My friend enjoys liver and was surprised to find it on the menu. She found the meal was cooked to perfection. However there were a number of other items on the menu that she would have wanted to try. This was the clincher to return the next night. The first evening I had shrimp and salmon risotto. I enjoyed the attractiveness of the offering and the satisfaction I had with it. The second night we both had the perch. It was nicely done and presented. If we were longer in Berne, I am sure my friend would have wanted to return a third time to try another offering that had appeal to her. If you enjoy Italian cooking, you will enjoy what El Gusto offers"

"Boky is a chain of sorts (I know of one in Geneva at least), although this appears to be family-run. It is very much a standardized, big-menu generic Chinese place, which doesn't mean it's bad. In fact some of the dishes are quite good, and they do delivery, which is always a plus. There is a quick-lunch take-away option too on some days, which is good. Unfortunately sometimes the quality varies a bit. I've had good duck, as well as very dry duck, well-spiced sweet and sour as well as very average s&s, and even on occasion some pretty stale-looking stir-fry vegetables. That being said, sit-down is definitely preferable to take-out, for obvious reasons. I do come here or order perhaps every 6 to 8 weeks, it's overall decent generic Chinese food, although perhaps one wishes that they would reduce the quantity of items on the menu and make sure everything else is always as fresh as possible. No major complaints so far, though."

"Das India4u ist relativ zentral gelegen und man bekommt durchaus auch ohne Reservation am Wochenende noch einen Platz - allerdings nur, wenn man zeitig genug kommt. Der Service war freundlich, wenn auch aufgrund der Vielzahl von Gästen recht stark gefordert, wenn nicht gar überfordert. Zudem konnte der junge Mann kaum Deutsch. Die Speisekarte ist gross und so fällt die Wahl schwer. Das Essen war gut. Doch zu den besten Indern würden wir das India4u nicht zählen. Die Preise sind ok, zumindest für vegetarische Gerichte. Fazit: wenn man gerade in der Nähe ist, dann ist es ok, dort essen zu gehen"

"Extensive menu and I was really disappointed that I couldnt have a meal here as had already eaten at a Pizzeria down the road. So we figured we’d grab a coffee and a creme brûlée here. I asked the female waiter and she directed me to a tall, middle aged brown guy. No response to my “hello”, no niceties exchanged which was probably my first and only ‘unfriendly’ experience during my entire stay in Switzerland. His response to me “do we have creme brulee” my response “yes it's on your menu”. He seemed so disinterested to even respond. I get it if you've run out of an item or no longer offering it but there's a better way of responding to enquiring customers. Zero on customer service skills. People like him should just quit the service industry. From all the reviews ive read the food is at best sub-par so im not sure why he has such a stiff attitude. He really left a sour lasting impression on my last day in Switzerland. Im sure hes the one responding to reviews in a sarcastic manner with zero relevance to the review itself which further explains the massive chip he has on his shoulder."

"Habe schon öfter hier gegessen. + Essen fast immer gut. Es gab einen Ausrutscher: Salat mit frittierten Beilagen war dermassen in Salatsauce ertränkt, dass es nach der Hälfte ungenießbar wurde. Aber ich liebe die Udonnudeln und komme deswegen immer wieder gern. + Sehr freundlicher Service+ Top Lage. Es gibt fast keinen besseren Platz im Sommer, als hier von der Terrasse aus auf den Bärenplatz zu schauen- Preise etwas hoch- STÜHLE - Kindergrösse und unbequem. Wenn man nur etwas trinken möchte, sollte man sich an den langen Teetisch mit Loungestühlen setzen!"

"This is one of my favourite places in Bern. I have been here a couple of times, for brunch, lunch and dinner and was happy every time. "For many years we used to go to the Restaurant next door, but this has now unfortunately closed down, so we decided to give Santa Lucia a try. Our visit went off to a rocky start, a Manager or Waiter told us quite rudely that since we did not have a reservation, there was no space for us, and he ushered us out of his way. We were a bit stunned by his treatment and were just left standing. The same person came back a short while later and mumbled that he could make space for us, and then guided us to a table at the rear, which was perfectly fine for us. Somebody else then came and greeted us warmly, taking our orders. The food was not disappointing either, we were well pleased at the quality and presentation of the main courses that we had ordered. So much so, that we even ordered a Dessert, which is not something that we normally do. To sum it up, if we disregard the entrance episode, the food and service were great, and we will come back, perhaps with a reservation next time."

Der Besuch war sehr angenehm, da es nicht allzu viele Leute und somit keine Hektik gab. Wir fanden es äusserst angenehm, dass man sich die Getränke selber holen durfte, so mussten wir nie warten. Die Auswahl an Produkten ist eher klein, aber dafür sehr fein. Uns überzeugte vor allem die Frische der Produkte! Ein Minuspunkt gibt es, weil: die Desserts zu wenig gekühlt waren, es wäre besser gewesen, wenn das Mousse kühler gewesen wäre. die meisten Sachen nicht angeschrieben waren.Ich empfehle diesen Brunch jedem weiter, der eine ruhige Atmosphäre schätzt und der gerne Toblerone isst. Ausserdem ist es einer der besten Brunchs der Stadt, wenn es um das Preis /Leistungsverhältnis geht.Aber Achtung: dieser Brunch findet nur an einigen Daten im Jahr statt, laut der Website."

"We went there for a birthday dinner, and the overall experience was disappointing. The shared salad bowl was tasty and fresh. The vegetarian dish hiwever had dry pieces of polenta, with overall little flavor and lack of some sauce to make it more interesting. We thought the daily fish plate was very expensive at CHF48, considering the somewhat pedestrian peas and mushroom veggies that came with it. Our server was curt to the point of being unfriendly, never came by to ask if we wanted another glass of wine, and no thank you or good by when we left. Considering the price point of the place not very satisfying."
