"Was recommended by someone to come in to the restaurant so thought we’d give it a try ... After 20mins on waiting around to be served we finally ordered our food , we then sat back down where the freezer was to the right of me and I could see someone pulling food from the freezer(named brands) out with their hands. After waiting a little more people came in to the coffee shop where they sat down , but the previous persons coffee cups had stayed and they were not moved for the whole of the duration of the couple sitting down , no tables were cleaned and other tables had dirty plates on them. There were a couple of cakes , which I witnessed being cut without a glove on and the cake fell into their hand.... A little while later our food came out where the server didn’t know what food he was giving us and went back into the kitchen to shout to the “chef” and ask what is what , while they argued . Our order was wrong and we was asked “what do you want me to do about it , this is what your ordered” when it wasn’t in fact , I felt very intimidated and just said it’s fine leave it. While eating I could see the kitchen and could see the father and son arguing in the kitchen about another issue and were not very quite about it... The food was nice after all but customer service, cleanliness and attitude about the business is all wrong could defo do with some music as it’s very quite and atmosphere isn’t great !"

"I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKED THE FOOD, HOWEVER A MEMBER OF STAFF WAS RUDE WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE STORE, WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE NO OTHER MEMBER OF STAFF WAS RUDE. I OPENED THE GLASS DOOR TO GO OUT AND THEN I FELT A HAND ON MY SHOULDER PUSHING ME I TURNED AROUND AND SAW IT WAS A MEMBER OF STAFF I AM NOT SURE WHY HE FELT THE NEED TO PUSH ME WHEN I WAS ALREADY LEAVING THE STORE. IT WAS SO RANDOM I WAS IN SHOCK WHEN HE DID IT, I CAME TO THE STORE WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS WE WERE LEAVING ALREADY THIS MAN STOOD BY THE DOOR AND RUDELY THOUGHT IT WAS HIS DUTY TO USHER THEM OUT. I WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST PERSON TO MAKE MY WAY TO THE DOOR AND I OPENED IT I WAS JUST ABOUT TO OPEN THE SECOND GLASS DOOR WHICH IS THE EXIT DOOR WHEN I FELT HIS HAND PUSH ME IT WASN'T A HARD PUSH SO I IGNORED IT AND WALKED OUT BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS RUDE NEVERTHELESS, HE ALSO HAD BLACK INDUSTRIAL GLOVES ON I DON'T IF THEY WERE USE IN THE FOOD PREP OR FOR CLEANING, BUT IF THEY WERE HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN TOUCHING ME WITH THEM."

"Sea bream is one of the best fish and chop shops to go and visit around the area if not in most surrounding areas! Their cod is always fresh and if you’ve not tried their chicken sandwich burger I highly recommend you get down there soon to try it! I came here again yesterday with my dad and the fish we was given was beautiful- no complaints again to Halil and his staff! This is by far the best fish and chips business in south east London."

"Why we visited Sampan Bromley? We have been looking for a restaurant to have Sunday Buffet lunch at reasonable price and with many items to taste. We have seen few other restaurants around Bromley do the Buffet but we selected this restaurant as the picture(on the website) provided in Buffet section is tempting and looks like there are many items Actual Experience: When we arrived there, we were shocked. Here is why 1) Less than 11 items in Buffet and that was including Salad items. Here were the items: Here are the items: Starters: a) Salads (too basic) b) Chicken tikka (taste 3 out of 5) c) Lamb sheikh kebab (taste 3 out of 5) d) Onion bhajji (taste cold and soggy so, 2 out of 5) Main Course: a) Naan(plain and dry) and Rice b) Shaag Aloo (taste 3.5 out of 5) c) veg jalfrezi (taste 2 out of 5) d) Chicken tikka masala (taste horrible as an Indian, never seen chicken tikka masala with coconut 0 out of 5) e) Chicken masala (taste 2 out of 5) f) Rogan ghos(lamb) (taste 3.5 out of 5) Dessert: a) Fruits(gapes, pineapple , melons) does it call dessert? "Went here with a couple of friends first we wasn’t going to eat but seeing other people’s food come out we change our minds, ordered food it was piping hot cooked to perfection I asked a member of staff what the cooks name was and the person told me it’s our new manager Stacey in the kitchen, hats off to this new manager I would highly recommend eating here, the drinks were perfect as well such a lovely time will be returning sometime in the new year keep up the great work at the golden lion, me and my mates wish the management and all the best for 2024, be back soon."

"Every time I eat in this restaurant I forget what a gem it is. The prices are so reasonable with good size portions and exceptional taste. I have tried many other Indian restaurants in the local area but from now on this is a must for me as it ticks all boxes! I wrote the above last time I was here and didn’t post it (thought I had) but had the urge to comment tonight again as realised what a great experience I have each time I eat here. The ambience is perfect for a mid week meet-up with a friend. Great food, great service, reasonable prices all round. Cannot wait for my next visit as the food was divine!"

"Some days ago, my mother and I dined at Zizzi’s to celebrate her recent career progression. We arrived without prior booking at 5:50pm on a Monday evening, at which point it was quiet and cavernous, with a choice of seating. We ordered the mozzarella garlic bread and fried calamari with aioli, drizzled with lemon for starters, to share. They both arrived promptly and were flavoursome without compromising quantity. Not only, was the mozzarella garlic bread simultaneously crisp yet fluffy, oily and salty, and heated to a pleasant degree. But also, the fried calamari was battered aptly, without sacrificing the quantity of the calamari. Soon after, we were met with our own generous dish of prawn linguini, topped with rocket. The linguini was twirled into a neat formation, with a mix of textures. While, the the tomato sauce was smooth and subtly rich, ample for the multiple hot linguini strips, the shaved courgette added a fine crunch, and the prawns constituted to a meaty density. However, within an hour, the restaurant was almost full, with the multitude of loudening conversations making it difficult to hear. Therefore, I would recommend eating early if you are someone who prefers a quieter experience. Also, although I was a student with a discount card, giving me access to 30% off on that particular instance. It is worthy to note that this is likely to be a somewhat costly evening, if you are someone who will order more than one course, or if you are a family, paying for multiple people."

"eating was very good, but service slow. my man had the lamb aprons that arrived as 3 instead of 4 when the 4th finally came, he said they were very tasty, but the dish was still small for an adult and for the price! I would say that eating is good, tasty and fresh, but it is over price for what they receive and the equipment of the restaurant is quite dated. After I said all that, I would recommend and probably come back, maybe a statement of this review was accepted."

"you can't find a single fault on our visit. the food was top notch, the service was even better. I have booked online and asked a high chair at the table. we were greeted by a very polite young man who showed us on our table, where a high chair ready and waiting. it is a very small thing, but the attention to the small details in booking requests put the ton for the evening. Instead of the unweighted keeping of the baby moment until the arrival of a high chair we could put the baby immediately. many time that is given to live through the menu while still attentive with drinks. many small talks with our older child even without being intrusive. to go to eat. it was a place. we booked an early dinner as we have a baby with us, so only decided for 2 courses (good and desert). the heavenly saline was exquisite, truly remarkable. highly recommended. hadn't been here since one. "Arrived, parking was a breeze, a little busy but manageable. Waited at the door as instructed to by the sign. No greeting from the front of house, just a very busy staff member acknowledging our presence from the bar stating someone will be right with us shortly. That seemed an eternity, as the waiting queue from other arrivals is nearly out the door. Got a table, which is always a good start. Went to the bar, slight queue for service but nothing to be concerned about, got drinks ordered food. Tickets at the ready goto get our food. No one was being served sweet, got served straight away. Now bearing in mind, I paid extra for a few pigs in blanets, which were average, I have to say. The chef server forgot them twice on both plates. Then, to top it all, the slices of meat cut off were stingy as hell. Veg, no roast potatoes hardly any of the other veg available. Having to wait now for the top ups, which seemed to take an age. Now bearing in mind, I have my thin sliced so-called hot slices of meat already on my plate, i being delayed waiting for veg. Now we get the veg great, lashing of gravy, let's go tuck in. Well, I must say it was lovely. I do hope that next time is a completely different experience."

"Such a shame. Not enough staff, very slow not very attentive. Needs a good clean!! Bathrooms were not very clean : Roast dinner was nice but said it included colofllwer cheese but dident.. another table also complained this was the case with their food too. Desert ok.. definitely just frozen cake warmed up and cheap ice cream (1 small scoop) for £5! Plates left on table for ages, had to go and give them out glasses and plates in the end.. I noticed so many people were doing the same. They collect dirty glasses in an Asda grocery basket??? Such a shame as has loads of potential but just need a good clean and couple of things then it’ll be perfect. Staff really need to be more friendly or attentive. It was like talking to a brick wall. Not very welcoming."

"we were greeted with irritation, told to sit there on another waitress and the menus were thrown on the table. we waited for for forty minutes to be served, but were ignored so that we left. I complained to the waiter behind the bar, who agreed that it was a terrible wise to treat customers. We have never known such a creepy experience and the evening should be a champagne party. "We hired the private function room for my mums wake, and I can’t fault Kelly and the team. The buffet was plentiful, fresh and varied. My auntie is gluten free and they offered to cook her anything from the menu, in the end she settled with sandwiches they made so many she took the rest home. Arriving after the funeral we were all very fragile but Kelly was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Kayla and Katy in her team made sure drinks were flowing and cleared empty plates efficiently. Thank you so much for everything and the next time we hire your function room I hope it will be on happier circumstances."

"Lovely place and was impressed but unfortunately the chaotic service spoilt the experience such a shame as it has all the trappings to be an excellent business I ordered porridge and toast which arrived quick also my granddaughters scrambled eggs on toast but unfortunately my daughters and son in laws seemed to have been given to the wrong table so I had eaten mine before theirs arrived so the whole experience seem to take all morning .The tables have numbers on them so surely as the orders are taken by a member of staff why not put the table number on the order to stop this mistake happening again They lady that took our order was pleasant and friendly but other staff did not seem to have the same presence .Went into the farm shop to buy some things the two men on the till where 100% better in their friendly nature than the staff in the cafe side.Please get some organisation as you do have a lovely clean place"

"Omg I can’t believe I have turned up to a pub and the staff was lovely, Shania could not do enough for us even tho we changed our menu after ordering , Simon the chef I am a very fussy eater but he came out and went through the menu and even showed me the fridge where everything was fresh and clean, as I can be fussy beats weatherspoon prices and service, I honestly think they deserve a little collection pot as credit where it’s due these little gems are nothing but helpful x Also yes the managers are professional but don’t forget the team of the lovely waitress Rubi and the bar boys John and Joe! "Waited over 30 mins for service after being shown to our table. We asked twice for service to no avail. The staff could clearly not deal with the amount of customers but there were not even that busy. Eventually we walked out and the queue of customers waiting to be seated was so long despite there being many empty tables. Our night out was spoiled. We went to Frankies Bennys where the service was great and so was the food. Take a lesson from them Nandos."

"I am really disappointed that a great night out with friends was ruined by such rude staff. We had pre-booked a table before hand and when we arrived it was clear that it was extremely busy... that we didn’t mind! What we did mind was...after ordering out starters which came out over a period of minutes; we went on to order our mains on the ‘All you can eat’ menu. We was then approached by a waitress claiming to be the ‘owner’ who in the rudest way said ‘we wouldn’t be able to eat all that we had ordered’ and basically was saying they wouldn’t make it. We were women and being a business owner myself I would not have ordered food if I did not believe we couldn’t eat it. My friend had to remove a dish from the menu as did I. I have eaten here many times in the past year and have never had an issue but my last two visits have been awful and I do not think I will bring my family back again now. The situation was dealt with so rudely and unprofessional and never would I dream of treating anyone how we was treated tonight. It made us feel so uncomfortable and that we didn’t even want to eat, in fact at one point I went outside to cool off. I really am not normally one to complain but you cannot treat people like that and think it is acceptable. I truly believe all eyes were on the larger party that was dining and spending more money! We should have paid half the bill seems you could only fulfil half the order! I have never been spoken to like that by anyone especially being a paying customer! Completely false advertising and trading standards need to be made aware of this, the tax man also needs to review your booking diary against the level of payments you are receiving being a cash only restaurant now! I am truly disappointed and this used to be one of my favourite places to dine. I will not forget this experience but you definitely rocked the wrong boat!!!!"
