"for more than 40 years I have been driving after borcum regularly, not every year, sometimes but also more often in year. I will never say that the largest and most beautiful of the East Frisian is a lucullic paradies. but no one has to starve here.Leiders have my favorite - for 20 years also infected by the Borkum-Bazillus - and I discovered and checked the cozy gas house "to kaap" only four years ago. our two judgements: one of the best places to start if you want to eat and drink something grounded to absolutely correct trips. The unfortunately already past holiday this year has led us in two weeks at least three times to the nice and extremely hospitable people in the kaap am kaap. and each time we have left the locality very satisfied. Of course, I am aware that other people have very, very high demands. but in the rule they can be fooled in the gogärtchen or in the sansibar on another island. No, we don't belong to it.After the "small möwe" hasn't opened at least four years, two of our other favourite restaurants are no longer in question because of increased arrogance of the non-local owners, we are still looking for new eating experiences. and at "to kaap" we have always come to our cost. excellent, courteous service, nice talks (also with other guests), delicious food, cost-effective drinks - wonderful!More is not to say (write). yet one more thing: this thorst s. with his critique "grown brutzelbude" is somehow a competitor or has not heard the shot. my identity is defined here for possible legal disputes. You can eat fish and meat. Sure, there's something convenience. but where not? for that they do not pay 17 euro for a carving in "to kaap". everyone has its vantage point, my wife and I have her. and we recommend the house unconditionally."

"I had a few days ago with some friends in the stable at 10.15 o'clock breakfast or at 11.30 a.m., because as long as it took until the breakfast was served. okay, except for one, that was already forgotten completely. also missing forks for the rührei as well as some eier. can happen once. the waiting period was also saluted to us by the fact that our predecessors had to consider this even longer. Thankfully, at least the drinks were served after 10 minutes - which was unkind, on the other hand, as they would have become cold again until the breakfast was taken. That's right. You could have ordered more. You must be aware that there can be (O-Ton) "a small price" if you want to drink a cappuchino instead of a coffee. with the same size just 2,- €. Declaration of the responsible: "This is calculus!" for us customers absolutely understandable. the clothing of this dress was also simply tasteless. If the pants slip, you should use a belt. a skirt at least does not protect from looking below the stench leg. tasty! yet to breakfast itself: the "self-made brot" did not make a fresh impression and the one sort of jam is recommended only if you are on acid. the crumbs served in the rührei justify the price difference in no way at all in comparison to the other breakfast menus. even if crabs are expensive, you shouldn't be so greedy with the amount served that you must look as a customer. I and my friend had a nice laugh and if you still have to look at the "Excellent" sign from tripadvisor, you're really getting caught up."

"Nomen is not always (a bad omen. The often recommended Café Restaurant Sturmeck has almost been lifted up to the last because I had a stormy, windy, uncomfortable, fun place. On the day of my visit, however, it is completely windless and very mild. Almost the large, inviting outdoor terrace tempts to sit out, but my companions have already chosen places in the back area of the restaurant. The location of the Sturmeck fascinates me immediately: embedded and initially hidden between the sand dunes, only after a longer walk from the town center or after a bus ride to the stop BFA. A sandy Bohlenweg leads up to the local, along with some attractive holiday bungalows, which also belong to the owner Maike Renner. From the Sturmeck you have a wonderful, wide view of the Wadden Sea and the dunes. Enjoying the sunset at a glass of wine is certainly one of the special highlights. The interiors are rustic, furnished with a lot of bright wood, old black and white photographs hanging on the walls. High surrounding windows provide generous views of the dunes. In our case also on craftsmen, who just pull up a stone wall in front of our eyes. Well, it's still low season... The toilets are still tiled in old styles black white. Visitors who do not consume anything here may voluntarily place an obolus in a basket at the door. This should be okay on both sides, because in this coastal section it really lacks public toilets. Fourthly we order a colourful mixture, which is then also served quickly: frying rings with roast potatoes for very cheap 7,90 Euro Matjes with onions and salt potatoes for 9,90 Euro asparagus with boiled ham for 9,30 Euro, a peasant salad with sheep cheese and cooked egg for 10,90 Euro. The portions are partly very manageable – four bars of asparagus per person seem to me too lazy. You can only get hungry from the table. The peasant salad turns out to be completely taste-neutral, faded and watery. Even the black olives taste nothing. Unfortunately, the Matjes portion also does not get tired, but convinces (for the first time on Borkum! with enough onion rings. Should the insufficient portions, the missing aroma perhaps stimulate reorders? Coffee and cakes are also offered in any case, the latter one can choose from the counter, but due to lack of interest I only look at it briefly. All the drinks are okay, nothing is served too cold. A colourful straw is served at the sea buckthorn choir (3,80 Euros), which gives the arrangement the encouragement of a children's drink (maybe it?) . Both coffee (Pott for 3,10 Euro and tea (mug for 3,40 Euro after dinner are served quickly and without waiting time. The service is crisp and robust and not unfriendly. Apparently, this has been improved (see Jenome report . I like the unique location so well that I love even with a future stay in the associated beach bungalows. Only the dishes were disappointing for me. It seems to me that it is saved in quality, quantity and creativity. Our companions, who have been passing as food guests for years, also know that the quality of the dishes is very different. In any case, we still sneak hungry and unsatisfied from it and stay on the way home several times on the promenade to study the snacks there."
