"The worst pasta I've ever eaten. The sauce was like a mixture of cook boyardee and some of a microwaveable pasta dinner. I had the Pasta Primavera, which included what I can only accept, were frozen carrots and celery pieces, with a bit soggy broccoli and one yet to identify other vegetables. The prices were somewhat exaggerated for food quality, and there was no glass of wine for under 7€, which is not to be found in other restaurants in the area. Besides, my husband's fish was dry and overcooked, but my six-year-old son said the pizza was good. You pay for the view here, but there are much better restaurants on the promenade with the same view. Avoid this tourist trap at all costs!"

Really friendly stuff. Great atmosphere with relaxed ambient and surrounding. Close to the beach. Good for kiddies as well.

I am visiting Borkum almost every year since 10 years and Leo's Restaurant has always greeted me and our children with friendly and good service. Very good food as well as long drinks, ice cream, sometimes live music in the evening as well...highly recommendable.

A great spot - and if it's warm enough to sit outside do so - the interior is rather drab. Food is standard Western / American - burgers, pasta, pizzas etc - all ok but nothing special. Service is also a little slow. Would probably recommend other places above this one.

Having eaten in several restaurants on Borkum we decided to have Italian. The service of both drinks and food was slow. Which seems to be common in the island. The appetizer wasn't very delicate. As an example, the melon and ham consisted of thick ham slices and some melon. Nothing more.. the pizzas were very nice and we'd definitely go back for more. But just the pizza..

At the first waiter Vito greeted us with a sand-buckthorn shot that might sound a bit unpleasant, but it was really great. After that our appetizer consisted of some tapas on a large plate, all beautiful and presented with love. To the main we have pizza and mussels. The kitchen really did their best and delivered them. All in all a great experience I would recommend for families and groups of friends.

"Viewed as a gastronomic, my stay on Borkum did not always correspond to the haunted naive expectations from abundant fish to buckling, and envyed by brittle buckthorn shower. The friendly Mr. Borkumer descent, whom I met on the train to Emden, had already warned: not too much fish, not too much iodine – sensitive people are already turning around. Well, due to the lack of attractive culinary offers, it could not come at all. However, a wide range of flexibility of lucullic nature cannot in principle harm. The speciality restaurant Alt-Borkum advertises local products, with the term home very broad. As cosmopolitans around the patron Osman Kalkinc, the staff mainly from the Mediterranean region conjures a wide range of Dryed Aged hamburgers through feta cheese with thyme honey to north German pann fish. The Schaufle, actually from the Badisch, is made here by the Susländer Schwein from Schleswig-Holstein, the Spätzle (which are actually offered here!) has introduced an originally from Ulm, now unfortunately deceased cook. On each table there are three different, coarse specialty salts. And the wine list offers wines from different regions. It's quite multiculti. There's nothing here without a table reservation. In this case, the old brothel lies rather out of the local core and above all far from the usual flanier mile. You have to control the place very consciously. The guest rooms are located on two levels, with the upper slightly rustic furnished with moderate maritime bonds – and the lower bright, modern to undercooled. You sit here very comfortably on high-stretch, leather-related chairs or on multi-color accented benches. The staff act quickly, but sometimes somewhat unconcentrated. As a tomb from the kitchen to apply three small baguette slices plus a tomb for four people, it is not quite possible to go on. It's only when I tell you the truth, it's gonna be quick. Tableware and cutlery are well maintained, modern to original. Only our opulent wine glasses I consider excessively oversized. Almost you need both hands to pull them off. Today, we choose gourmet mushrooms for 15.90 Euro (herbals, oyster mushrooms and nutschampignons, including salad and two eggs, as well as a chicken breast fillet from the grill for 17.90 Euro (with aromatic lentil salad and already mentioned gourmet pills, as well as actually – God has the former cook from Ulm blessed – Swabian cheese spies. Many of the quality ingredients have organic quality here: the eggs used and the flour, also the apple juice choir. The dishes are tastefully dressed, interestingly seasoned and with nice details. Unfortunately, some things are already cold until it reaches our table. This should be due to the high level of public envoy, perhaps also to the fact that there is a bigger birthday party at the side table, which apparently swallows many resources and even more service-oriented attention. Speaking of celebration: at a birthday party every guest receives a glass of champagne on the house. And children with a grade cut to 2.3 get a sweet dessert for free. Numerous other actions and events also regularly attract. At present every Thursday is Rumpsteak day with special prices. All in all, the Alt-Borkum impresses with a somewhat different food offer than usual here and with a remarkable commitment by the boss. Tenderless cleanliness prevails up to the smallest corner. High value is placed on cultivated table culture. In good weather you can also sit outside, but at the moment the strong wind blows alone would already throw away our napkins..."

"on time also everything well façade reminded more of a small fish bud and interior of the decoration very collapsed and also no candlestick but led lamp and paper table runner - place was a little inappropriate because for six people no table fit and chairs had to be put to it so that you had to do with other guests formally sitting on the table -we got to start very unfavorable - the waiters were very hectic it was much running around and was constantly walking around with water bottles so what I had never seen in a “high quality” restaurant - this hectic one felt and that made the atmosphere very unreleased - had to wait for a first time 15 min to take up drinks - dishes and aperitif of the day were pre-ordered, very friendly -some the aperitif was tasty but very lustless with a piece limette and two small ice cubes served. - we had to wait a little longer on the order of eating - the menu heard very tasty and promising -45 minutes later came also eating and it looked very appealing at the first sight when filetsteak was pointed out that it would take 3 minutes, this was also not a problem until the steak came and there was a thin small piece of cake between a big bonny and cherished the tip of the swedish in so eaten and the escape was not crispy and the red cabbage just tasted like zimt - it was not a pleasure - that was then cleaned - then it took again and we were asked for dessert - this came exceptionally fast and the chocolate souff was also very tasty but it did not save much of the evening -the colder eaten"
