"A little disappointed... For the anecdote: we were hesitating for our vacation between the Basque country, which we already know, or the area of Brive, still unknown to us. If I leave this review, you can imagine the destination. Only we found it fun to go eat in a Basque restaurant to combine the two places. We know the atmosphere of cider houses and family Basque restaurants, and we hoped to rediscover the generosity and welcome of the latter. Disappointment comes next. Very neat welcome (too neat) almost making us feel uncomfortable. Restaurant atmosphere based on elevator songs, we are far from irrintzina and typical songs... As for the service, it was like the welcome... very cordial, and very professional, but lacking in friendliness... The piquillos/axoa/Basque cake menu was not bad, but a little bland... I still notice the homemade which is entirely commendable, but perhaps not completely mastered. We still had a good time, even if the restaurant did not meet our expectations at all."
