"this is a beautiful restaurant in a great place at the harbour. eating was absolutely delightful and the service was fantastic. my partner and I got a glass sect and some appetizers free at the arrival that was a...Touch we shared the fried mixed seafood for starter that was definitiw enough for two. it consisted of calamari, sardines and some other twists on otopus, which were really divine. none of it was fried. it was crispy, but flocky at the same time; a real joy. I had the makrele. every bite was spiffing, but I feel that my friend has made the best choice. they ordered the baked tuna steaks that were extremely sublime. they were almost crispy on the outside, but rarely in the middle, beautifully anointed, but not in an overwhelming wise; just so succulent, so satisfying. her part was so happy that she gave me a few pieces after I started cutting them. I think I make the best decisions when the two of us are dinner, but not this time; I had to show real amusement to convince them to torture me some of their food. fortunately, she has committed me to making my life so richer, even if I have lost a part of my pride. we decided to get a pudding because we did not want to end the experience, and so order this caramel and ricotta bakery thing that came next to a pot of sweet coffee sauce for us to douse over the unsuspecting desert. every bite was absolutely stunning. we shared one between us and the part was more than enough. my only critique is that depending on the time you are denominated here, you will hear loud tragic music from the bar next door. we sat around 8 o'clock and it took up to 8.30 o'clock as most natives do not tend to eat until this time, it will not be a problem for most who dine here. but for those who think about booking before this time, this is something they might want to consider. I think it would be hard if I did not give this restaurant five star ratings on the basis of their loud neighbours, as this is clearly not a mistake of rosmarina. I recommend you to book a table here from 20:30 a.m. and I assure them that they will be very happy about the experience. a really dazzling eating!"

"We had arrived at Palermo airport at midday after an overnight flight from North America, and were en route to Erice at Sicily 's western edge. We knew we had to get off the autostrada soon if we were to find a place still open for...lunch, and Michelin suggested a few places in Castellammare del Golfo. We consider ourselves very lucky to have started our 40th anniversary re tracing of our honeymoon trip with lunch at Mirko 's. We were not taken into the restaurant, which is located along a medieval stairway leading down to the port hence the Discesa or descent in the street address): the interior dining room was taken by the families of children making their first communion in the parish church. So we sat outside, under umbrellas, and were ably attended by Federico. My bride chose a remarkable pasta dish for her primo piatto, bucatini all 'aglio, oro, e pepe that is, with olive oil, gold, and pepper) atop the astonishingly flavorful bucatini was what appeared to be gold leaf. My primo was one of chef Mirko 's house specialties, cous cous di pesce fish couscous remember, western Sicily is a short boat ride from North Africa), which was served with a delicious broth on the side. The two of us divided an exquisite tuna steak encrusted in pistachio for our secondo piatto, grilled vegetables, and a colored salad. Our wine was local and by the glass €6 each), and the espresso we required to keep us alert for the rest of our drive to Erice was very reasonably priced at €1. The food supposedly all locally sourced, and very fresh was excellent. But what also very much impressed us was that Mirko 's is very much of the community. The children, though they were the honorees of the adults ' luncheon inside, were evidently bored with the adult talk and came out to play on the steps of the Discesa, with one or two adults to supervise them. We were charmed. And we delighted in Federico 's conversation, even as we resisted the temptations for desserts he set before us. We congratulated ourselves on discovering Mirko 's for the rest of the drive to our destination."
