"Booking was ok although a breakdown in communication on arrival meant we were put inside despite agreeing outside at booking, but that was sorted quickly. Good grief this place serves up huge portions. We started with a fish platter and mixed bruschetta and to be honest that would have done, but then the pizza and pasta arrived. Two of our family of five went for the steak and potato pizza, no really, and this came hanging over the plate. Huge. We couldn’t finish everything but tried our best!"

"La Varcuzza.... già il nome è un programma e ti porta con la mente a tutto ciò che si può pescare nel mare. Siamo stati 15 giorni in vacanza a Castellammare del Golfo, su 15 sere, siamo andati almeno 10 volte. Un'accoglienza unica e straordinaria, il proprietario Cristian ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. Abbiamo mangiato, assaporato e degustato tutto ciò che offre il menù, dalla frittura di pesce, alle arancine, panelle, crocchette di riso con gamberi freschi di Castellammare, un pescato del giorno sempre vario, fresco e sublime, tutto cucinato ad hoc! Abbiamo bevuto tutti i vini che offrono, tutti locali, serviti freddi e abbinati giusti al tipo di pesce che sceglievamo di gustare. Cassatelle e Cannolo? Racchiudiamo tutto con un unico aggettivo: sublimi! Il cannolo big è una maestria dello chef e la sua brigata in cucina, composta dalla moglie di Cristian e altri parenti.....ebbene sì come detto all'inizio non abbiamo mangiato in un locale qualunque, ma presso la famiglia di Cristian, perché ci siamo sentiti parte di essa. PS: ho dimenticato il cuos cuos con le verdure.....che Ve lo dico a fare, una bontà per il mio palato. Super, super consigliato! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente! Cristian ti porteremo nel nostro . "Pizzeria Canale Vecchio... Location sita in a panoramic terrace with wonderful views. The pizzas, with my friends, we tried almost all of them and we enjoyed them with real pleasure. All delicious and cooked at the right point. Celtic and punctual service and, completion, courteous waiters and always with a smile at every request (we were in 11). Special mention to Margherita, dedicated to our table, which recommended us with real professionalism."

"Ok so I remember we had very good food here. Very good service. The prices were a bit high but you get what you pay for. But I really can’t remember much apart from the life changing cassata I had here. My life has never been the same since and I dream about this place’s cassata. I didn’t even order it- my husband did. Suffice it to say that from that day forward, every day we were in Sicily I had cassata at least once a day. But nothing compared to this one. Not even close! Thanks for a lovely meal!"
