"The restaurant is located in a slightly off location, the interior is unassuming. The place specializes in fish and seafood, they also run a fish shop nearby. The specialization pays off: this is, bar a large margin, the best fish and seafood I have eaten in Darmstadt. The owner is friendly and recommended that we (three people) order two tapas sets and he would make sure they contain lots of fish (which is what we wanted). He could have easily made more money if we had ordered a main dish each, so hats off! We got 12 different tapas, most with fantastically fresh seafood and grilled fish. Bread and olives are included for no extra. The cooking was straightforward (mostly grilled or simple sauces), but capable and nothing was dry or chewy. We drank a bottle of good Albarino that was also fairly priced. A free coffee or digestive was offered after the meal. This place is a hidden gem and despite the off location it is a good idea to book, because many happy regulars return there often. Next time I will try a paella which also looks delicious."

"Pizza bei Nando in Mörfelden, das ist gleichbleibende Qualität! Selbst bei EM-Endrunden-Spielen absolut akzeptable Wartezeiten. Zu empfehlen: Pizza Frutti di Mare, aber auch alle anderen! Toller dünner Boden, immer durch! Lieferservice gibt es auch, aber am besten selbst mitnehmen. Pizza Nando versteht sich als reine Pizzeria zum Abholen. Bei gutem Wetter kann man draußen im verkehrsberuhigten Ortskern von Mörfelden auf der Bank die Pizza genießen, Nando nimmt die leeren Kartons drinnen gerne entgegen. "Nach anfänglichem Zögern habe ich den Schritt in die „Bude“ gewagt und es war ein Gewinn. Im Charme einer Schrebergarten Hütte konnte ich leckeren Gebratenen Reis genießen! Die Portion war reichlich und würzig und thailändisch abgeschmeckt bekömmlich obendrein. Zwei traurige Augen blickten mich an, weil ich nicht alles geschafft habe. Aber nur, weils für mich zuviel war! Ich werde die nette Lady unterstützen in der Hoffnung, dass man in DA endlich leckeres Thai Food bekommen kann!"

"Wir waren zu zweit am WE im Terras del Rey, selbstverständlich mit Reservierung. Ein Tisch auf gut Glück ist eher unwahrscheinlich. Auch eine Reservierung am Tag davor, könnte man bleiben lassen. Man wird zwar nie abgewiesen, man bekommt immer sehr höfflich empfohlen, einfach doch mal vorbeizuschauen...wenn man genug Zeit und Nerven mitbringt, könnte es ja klappen. Aber nun zum Wesentlichen. Dass die Bedienung sehr freundlich und geduldig ist, habe ich schon angedeutet. Das Essen, also die Tapas, waren ebenfalls sehr lecker. Wir hatten folgende Tapas bestellt: 26, 29, 24, 43, 25, 53, 56, 41 und 50.Die Hackbällchen, und der Kalbfleischspieß waren nicht unbedingt außergewöhnlich aber gut. Auch die Datteln im Speckmantel sind ein Muss und waren sehr lecker. Dafür war die Kaninchenkeule und die Kartoffeln in der Soße der Hammer. Die Atmosphäre im Lokal ist eher lebhaft. Je nach dem wo man einen Platz bekommt, kann man sich sogar normal unterhalten. Unterm Strich war es ein toller Abend mit leckeren bis nahezu extrem geilen Tapas und einer urlaubsähnlichen Atmosphäre. Ich werde wiederkommen."

"Als Paar besuchten wir das Ferrucci, nachdem wir einzeln zuvor schon geschäftlich dort gewesen sind. Als Geschäftskunde mit Anmeldung wird man zuvorkommend behandelt, Service ist ok bis leicht aufdringlich. Als Paar kamen wir ohne Reservierung, das Restaurant war nicht sehr voll, dennoch hieß es, es wäre kein Tisch mehr frei. Nach kurzem Warten gab es einen Tisch direkt vor der Eingangstür mitten im Durchzug. Trotz weiter den ganzen Abend freibleibender Tische wurde uns kein besserer Platz mehr angeboten, die Bedienung erfolgte zögerlich, ein Gefühl, hier unerwünscht zu sein, begleitete uns den ganzen Abend. Das Essen war in Ordnung, das Essenserlebnis im Ergebnis mangelhaft. Nach dieser Erfahrung haben wir anschließend auch keine Geschäftsessen mehr dort stattfinden lassen - sehr schade."

"Sehr freundlicher Inhaber der auch für ein kurzes Gespräch zu haben ist. Der Dönerteller, die Baklava und der Ayran waren super lecker. Die Baklava muss ich nochmal hervorheben, habe ich selten so lecker erlebt. Das Dönerfleisch war schön dünn geschnitten und reichlich portioniert. Ich kann Alanya Döner nur empfehlen!"

Die Pommes waren verbrannt und wir haben gar nichts verzehrt. Ich finde es eigentlich unverschämt sowas an Kunden zu verkaufen. Das war das erste und letzte Mal, dass ich bei Ihnen bestellt habe."

"Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen sind wir 40 KM zum Biergarten gefahren. Schon der erste Eindruck hätte uns umkehren lassen sollen. Treppenaufgang mit Steinchen und Laub verschmutzt, die Bestelltheken wirken unaufgeregt und schmuddelig. Tisch wirres Sammelsurium. Es herrscht Selbstbedienung, was ja nicht unbedingt schlecht sein muss. Wir holten Bier und Handkäse mit Mussig, beides nicht schlecht. Auch das Brot zum Handkäs gut. Aber dann Schnitzel. Bevor wir einen Essensduft wahrnehmen rochen wir das Fett. Sie werben damit, dass die Schnitzel nicht aus der Fritteuse kommen. Erstmal wieder gut. Es nützt nur nix, wenn die Schnitzel am Vormittag paniert werden und um 15 Uhr in altem Fett ausgebacken. Muss man wirklich den Köchen, oder denen die meinen einen solchen Beruf auszuüben, erklären wie man ein panniertes Schnitzel brät? Pommes auch nicht lecker, weich, matschig, fad. Beste noch der Salat mit Knorr Fix. Und jetzt das eigentlich Schlimme. Sind die Menschen schon so solches Essen gewohnt, dass man diesen Fraß als gut bewertet? Würde dazu passen, was Menschen im Supermarkt aufs Band legen. Fertigprodukte und Würzbeutelchen. Und auch wenn der Wirt schreibt gerade die Schnitzel sind hochgelobt, werden die deshalb nicht besser. Er würde lieber nicht den Müll mit dem Fuß beiseite kicken um die Bierglasbehälter dort abzustellen. Und muss man auch noch die Speisereste zusammenkratzen? Das sah ich noch nirgends. Alles in allem Daumen runter."

"Das Red Barn ist teilweise sehr voll, nachdem wir letztens keinen Platz bekommen haben, hatte es nun spontan geklappt. Die Einrichtung passt zum Namen, und soll an die Western/frontier Zeit der USA erinnern. Der Service war super, wir wurden schnell bedient und auch bis die Getränke und das Essen auf dem Tisch standen, ist nicht viel Zeit vergangen. Allerdings war auch nicht viel los, da es noch früher Abend war. Der Burger mit Pommes kam in einem Korb. Das sieht schön aus, ist beim Essen jedoch etwas nervig. Das Patty war Medium wie bestellt und der Burger schmeckte gut. Die Pommes sind “fresh cut“, also mit Schale, sehr lecker. Es gibt zudem Nordamerikanische Biersorten zur Auswahl, insgesamt empfehlenswert."

"Nice thai decor and Thai staff gave good expectations. However, the food was uninspired and not authentic. Pad kee mao drunken noodels. But in Ban Thai it is with rice. We checked if noodles could be ordered, but got a flat NO. OK. Then...I asked for it very spicy, adding thai very spicy not German very spicy I got an off hand nod. The food was NOT SPICY at all. It contained a few green pepper corns, which were in fact black and so not tasting too good. I asked if they could make the dish hotter and she gave a shrug and walked away. Had to call her again, and asked if they could bring some fresh chillies of fresh green pepper. The answer was again a flat NO. I also reminded twice that I ordered a beer no result. I therefore spoke to a lady behind the bar to send me a beer, and as the waitress was evidently totally unhelpful and disinterested, I tried to ask the bar lady for some chillies. It seemed that she expected this to be ok, but when when she said this to the waitress, the waitress reacted angrily. She even came back to our table and rudely spoke to my Thai wife, that she already told us that there are no chillies. The male waiter at least came and plonked unceremoniously a pot of chilly powder on the table. So the summary of the service the waitress was really unpleasant and rude, the waiter was disinterested but at least not rude. If you want hot thai food, go to Lemon grass near the Best Western Plus hotel. it is not as cosy but the service is professional and the hot dish was correctly hot"

"Da wir in Darmstadt Mitte leben ist der Ratskeller ein häufig besuchtes Ziel. Besonders im Sommer sitzt man toll im Freien mit Blick auf den Marktplatz. Hauseigenes Bier ist klasse. Da ich ein großer Fan vom Kochkäse bin, esse ich schon seit Jahren dort sehr gerne die Portion Kochkäse mit Brot.Seit Neustem gibt es ein Malzbrot, das so super lecker ist, dass man gar nicht genug bekommen kann.... man kann es auch dort kaufenLeider war die Kochkäseportion dieses Mal viel kleiner und sehr dünn. Ich war doch schon enttäuscht, denn bisher war immer alles gut Ich hoffe, dass es eine Ausnahme war, denn die Portionen zu verkleinern bei gleichem Preis.... ist für mich in der Gastro ein NoGo. Ansonsten gehe ich den Kochkäse bei den anderen Brauereien in Darmstadt essen... und dort auch das Bier trinken.Wäre schade, da der Ratskeller doch fast perfekt ist"

This is the kind of food that you would get at any restaurant for a lower price and literally is the type that you can cook at home very easily without complications and NO decoration....I was surprise that this restaurant is so well rated for what they offer. They really need to renovate the floor/restrooms, look for a better cook and waiters (one of them was really rude to us and made us wait for more than hour and minutes after having the starter)."

So after some time we served our food and I can say wow, it wasn't just delicious, it was very tasty. and we both were happy fed, I even allowed to help my wife to eat the rest of the flame they like to be sure to be clear. if they ask themselves what costs, I put the bill in the form of a picture for them. the localities are still very clean, but must be overcome over two stages to find not barrier-free, but even in the gas house. so to the good conclusion I can say that we here with everything to be fully satisfied very nice service well eat large environment everything as it should be. of therefore all the stars for the braustüberl here and a recommendation when they come to darmstadt maybe here to return. to the next time their peeti assessment."

"OK - there's only so much sauerkraut and sausage you can take before you start hankering after something different. As I love gourmet burgers and we were starving and cold from long boat-ride we opted for Jamy's. Menu here is small - but I don't mind that - do fewer dishes but do them really well... in this case it was a bit disappointing. Although, the chicken burger was nice and juicy, they got my order wrong and it took absolutely ages to arrrive. The sweet potato fries however, were a revelation! The burger with avocado was mushy and messy - best avoid if on a date or in polite company... but the patties were delicious. Weirdly, yet another food vendor in a major city that didn't take credit cards! Is this a thing in Germany I wonder???"
