"Bought a house nearby and decided to check out the food with family. We went twice. The first time we each had the pick save mix a good price on discount day. The options we picked (steak, salmon) were tasty enough, the the sides were hit and miss. The green salad was especially sad and regretful. The second time we went on a Sunday and tried the roast, including the pork mix and the nutroast. To be frank, it was all pretty awful. The mash was very gluey and the green beans were practically grey with mush. The roast potatoes were dried out and the nutroast was disappointing. I think the menu could we worth further exploration (save the roast), however. The pub was surprisingly spacious, good for kids but no dogs allowed inside. The staff was friendly enough. The food? I am yet to be convinced. Parking: Space for a couple dozen cars. Kid friendliness: High chairs and a play place next door. Baby change."
