"A golden gem as you commute from Newry to Donegal in the centre of Aughnacloy. Our party of 4 dined at this superb restaurant on Saturday. The meet n greet was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. We were seated promptly in a busy environment and drinks provided as we browsed a menu fit for any palet. Food arrived on piping hot plates. A range of fresh, well presented cuisine! Excellent quality, attentive staff and you can pay Euro for Pound if that suits you. Salleys is so perfect that we decided not to dine in Donegal, rather give Salleys a second visit. We had a combo starter plated for 2 but 4 of us tucked in and it was delicious with more than enough food. We had a variation of mains different from our Saturday visit. The Beef n Bird and Chicken Stack is simply delicious and highly recommended! We finished our meal sharing two melody of deserts. They were so tasty! Staff were superb again? Very attentive and accommodating! The place was buzzing and the ambience was great! This restaurant is so well run! Plates are plentiful and the bill is easy on the pocket. We all would have no hesitation in recommending Salleys to anyone passing through Aughnacloy because we will certainly be making a return visit! This place really is a GOLDEN GEM!"

"My wife and I had brunch here on March 12, 2021, and it was absolutely fantastic. We had no complaints at all, everything was perfect. The staff were friendly, attentive, and excellent. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, I would have been happy to pay more for it. The menu offers solid, well-prepared dishes made by good people. The decor was lovely, with a relaxed atmosphere. The plates, cutlery, teapots, and glassware were all top-notch. Overall, this place is perfect in every way. It's not overly fancy or pretentious, but it does everything exceptionally well. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"Called in whilst passing through recently. Simple order of 2 Sausage suppers, 1 battered, 1 plain. A 15 minute wait for our food and we decided to head home, to eat them there. If we had gone to eat them in the car, I would have gone straight back in and complained in person. The sausages, both battered and plain, were skinny, charred black, mangled and pretty rotten to look at. They didn't taste any better than they looked! The chips were nice enough but the portions were miserly and overall it made us wish we'd driven on and gone to our local chippy. Certainly won't be back and couldn't recommend to anyone.....avoid!!"

"Today we visited the Millwheel for lunch. We were looking for a place with easy access and nearby parking, and this place delivered on both fronts. We chose a table by the window and selected our meals from the fantastic and diverse menu. I ordered the chicken, cheese, and bacon wrap with BBQ sauce and a side of garlic potato cubes, while my partner opted for the southern fried chicken gujon ciabatta with pepper sauce and a side of salad. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying. We asked for a jug of water and a Fanta Lemon, which were quickly brought to our table and served extra cold to combat the warm summer weather. My partner particularly enjoyed the salad, noting its excellent quality. The staff were amazing - very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. To top it off, we were given scones and a slice of chocolate cake to take home. All of this came to under £20.00, making it exceptional value. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning soon. A big thank you to the staff for a lovely meal."

"A friend and I had been looking forward to having a meal and catching up. Had forgotten there’s no waiting area downstairs and no obvious sign of a lift, so my friend went back to reception and spoke to the lady, who was lovely and said we could go straight to our table. Restaurant was half empty, so this is obviously a way of getting you to buy a drink before dinner? Can’t see any other reason. We were shown our menu and then a man came to take our order and basically preempted everything we were going to say and we both felt it was like a race to order ASAP and when asked if the chicken fillet with string onions and sauce came with champ, it was an abrupt no, so we had to order sides to accompany our mains. So we had of the chicken main courses, sides and soft drinks for Felt it was expensive for a mediocre meal experience. The waiting staff (who were nice) seemed under pressure and we could relate. Don’t think we will be rushing back. Oh the lady at reception gave us a big cheery goodbye and she apologised for being asked to sit upstairs."

"I recently ordered takeout dinner from this restaurant and I was extremely impressed. The price per person was affordable, falling in the range of £1-10. Both the food and service were outstanding, receiving a 5-star rating from me. The atmosphere of the restaurant also scored high marks with a rating of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish Supper, as it was one of the recommended dishes on the menu."

"Nice area clean and lovely decor, except for toilets beside the bar were awful for a restaurant, food was lovely, some salad starter (rocket and parmesan) is extremely small for the price, served on a side plate no more than a few pence worth, staff friendly and helpful, two cocktails on offer tried both, they were not well presented at all, spicy margarita was not spicy but just a standard margarita. Cabonara I enquired before ordering and it is not original it's made with cream etc, sadly. (I think that all restaurants toilets reflect all of the establishment, definitely need revamped and brought up to higher standard) I do think a bit more effort could go into the plates as £6/£7 for a couple of cuts of French bread and tiny dips, or a handful of rocket and parmesan is excessive. Ceaser salad I asked for chicken but didn't have any on when arrived at table."

"What can I say Brewer’s house is an absolute one off for the Tyrone mid Ulster area. If you received the food you get here in one of Ireland or the UK’s top hotels or city restaurants it would not be out of place at all. The chef deserves some credit; all the meat is cooked to perfection, the desserts are to die for! It is well worth every penny, and so it should be a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the region, it shows through time and time again. We went midweek and it was busy, the indoor decor upstairs is beautiful. We had the beef and the hake, fantastic flavors. The desserts were some of the best I’ve ever had baked Alaska and lemon tart surrounded by Italian gooey meringue. The service was top notch also and always with a smile. Keep doing what you’re doing!!"

"I'm Gluten Free, so successful dining out experiences can be few and far between... But SHUT THE FRONT DOOR... Cafe Latte have the most FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. "I have eaten at Ellies on a number of occasions and found it hit and miss but post covid I figured I would try it again and was pleasantly surprised. I had a table booked for a low key family meal. We arrived and were quickly seated at the large back windows as I had requested which offer a spectacular view across Dungannon and beyond. The sunny day made this view even more impressive and offered many talking points. We were seated and a drinks order taken straight away while menus were distributed. The menu is a single, unlaminated printed sheet, a remanent of covid times which I hope will disappear soon as the single page is less than pleasant to order from. The one gripe I continue to have with Ellies is the slow service for the initial ordering of starters and mains. The service the rest of the time seems to be fine but this initial delay to order is a consistent issue. Starters arrived quickly consisting of brie, soup, salted chilli chicken and garlic mushrooms. I first want to say that the portions for starters are very generous. The bries were large wedges, there was plenty of chicken and mushrooms too. A delight when you consider that usually starter sizes can be rather mean. The brie was golden and gooey. The soup was a subtle, creamy curried cauliflower which was a delightful change of pace from the bog standard soup choices offered elsewhere. For mains we had steaks, chicken stacks, burgers and baked salmon. All of which was fabulous. Portions were generous and served very well. The steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely sear. The champ was creamy and the baked salmon was a riot of colour. For dessert we indulged in cheesecakes, lemon meringue pie and brownies. The cheesecake was super rich and sweet. The brownies very sweet but still nice. The lemon meingue let the side down a little because, while it looked like a work of art it was cold. Lemon meringue should be served hot, and not just the meringue blow torched to mildly warm and browned. From base to tip it should be hot. The vanilla ice cream tasted vaguely smokey also and was not something we would go for again. Other than speeding up the initial ordering and tinkering with the desserts to serve hot where appropriate and change the vanilla ice cream brand, I was very impressed with this trip to Ellies and will certainly be back. For the generous portions and good quality the meal was also quite reasonably priced!"

"We had a voucher for this restaurant which had to be used so off we went hoping it was better than before, this is our third visit. Sadly the restaurant was cold, menus was very minimal, 6 or 8 items to choose from. I chose Fish and chips thinking I couldn 't go far wrong but was really disappointed with the fish, batter wasn 't crisp, mushy peas were dry and tired although the chips were good. Having some extra funds on our voucher we decided to have a desert at £7 each, my pavlova took about 40 minutes to arrive and measured about 2 inches by 3 inches in the middle of a 14 inch plate was also very tired (hardly surprising given the speed of delivery) staff agreed to reduce the cost because of the delay. My wife had a crunchie cheesecake which had a few flakes of chocolate and absolutely no identifiable crunchie bar. It saddens me to see a local restaurant perform so poorly, the property is nice and the setting lovely but if you are going to charge £25 per person for two courses al least make it decent not tired and looking like leftovers."

"We were seated promptly, but after receiving our drinks, it took 25 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted to place an order. We understand that it can get busy, which is reasonable. However, when we mentioned that we would be leaving due to the long wait, we were met with a response of "that's no bother," and the server just walked away. One of the younger staff members did apologize, though."
