"For full disclaimer I've given this a three star for 3 reasons that on another day would rank this a four star overall so I may have just been unlucky. 1. The restaurant location is amazing. The view is great, quiet location, off the busy areas, nice venue in terms of decor. 2. The range of food and drinks is good, not excellent, but it covers all the bases and I think something for everyone. 3. The food itself was good quality and nice tasting ingredients. However 4. Price zizzi to me has always been a high street restaurant serving nice food at reasonable but slightly inflated prices. I haven't been for five years but now it's serving nice food at very inflated prices. £4 for a 330ml soft drink that they get for around £1 max is mental. £17.50 on average per main, £7.50 for very small starters. I'm sure it used to be closer to £10 than £20 and so for the quality the price is inflated. Especially for drinks. I had salmon pasta dish which main ingredient was prawns?? 5. It took 5 mins waiting in a weird not viewable entrance to be seen, our starter plates taken away before the starter, and the bill took 30 mins to come and to pay. It felt hideously understaffed with three staff so this may be an exception to the norm. 6. The restaurant by the windows is freezing. Either they leak cold air or the heating is In sufficient. Overall £60 for two mains, a starter, a coke and a wine is far too high for the quality of meal. The service charge of 10% is fine, if the service was faster."

"EDIT: Initially was amazed by the restaurant and considered it one of my favourites in London. Have been there 5 times by now and sadly they changed the dishes for the worse. The last visit (early January) was particularly bad, both the laksa and the charred cabbage were swimming in oil. The laksa was literally an oil soup. I feel like the other dishes had additional sugar added to them compared to how they were made initially. I also tried the new fermented green tea leaf salad which was nice though. I really didn't enjoy my last dinner there so I'll lower the rating from 5 to 4 stars. Original review: My new favorite restaurant in London. Already itching to return as the menu has so many amazing choices and I need to try them all. Every dish was so amazingly tasty that choosing one favorite is utterly difficult, but I have to mention the charred cabbage in kolae coconut curry and khao-soi noodle laksa. They make the curry paste in house which gives the dishes a very rich flavor profile. The menu has 3 categories: snacks, starters, and mains. Snacks are mostly bite sized and are served first. The rice fermented mustard green miang laos blew our mind, Kung pao crackers were excellent. We also got an extra snack from the chef Shan-style sour rice which was very tasty. The izakaya pickles were too sweet for my taste and hence my least favourite of the the snacks. If you love South-East Asian flavors, this place is a must. It surely exceeded all my expectations. Everything was very flavorful and nicely spiced. Updated from previous review on 2022-01-08"
