"Wir waren in der Filiale gegenüber vom Domplatz! In Erfurt gibt es einige Filialen von Elmi Café. Es gibt eine in der Mitte der Domtreppe und auf der Krämerbrücke sowie auch eine im Ega Park. Unser Besuch zum Frühstück war echt sehr enttäuschend gewesen. Ganze zwei Bedingungen für ca. 30 Tische auf zwei Ebenen. Die Bedingungen mussten auch im Verkaufsshop den Brötchen und Kuchen Verkauf machen unglaublich! !!!Sehr viele Gäste haben das Café entnervt verlassen. Unser Frühstück war gut und günstig. Wir hatten das New York Frühstück! Wir sind nach dem Frühstück unten an die Kasse gegangen zum bezahlen. Wartezeit hätte wohl den Rest des Tages eingenommen. Man hätte auch das Café ohne bezahlen verlassen können. Es wäre keinem aufgefallen da die Bedingungen alle Hände voll zu tun hatten im Verkaufsshop. Welch ein Kaufmännischer hinter Gedanke dahinter steckt so ein Café zu betreiben bleibt wohl ein Geheimnis!?Wir können das Cafe Elmi nicht weiterempfehlen! !!"

"So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt! Das eine Bedinung mal einen schlechten Tag hat und etwas komisch zu den Gästen ist, kann man vielleicht noch entschuldigen! Aber was sich hier letzten Samstag bot war der Oberhammer!Schon bei der "Begrüßung" wurde man angerempelt und einem klar gemacht, dass man im Weg stehe! Bestellaufnahme war nur lästig und es wollte nicht um Biegen und Brechen in den Kopf der Dame, dass 2 halbe "Kirschweizen" nicht eine Glas Kirsch und ein Glas Weizen heißt. Am Ende kam dann eine ganzes Glas Kirschweizen + ein kleines leeres Glas. Zum selber umschütten! Dann noch ein Falsches Getränk bekommen. Diese wurde dann mit einem Knall weggeschüttet und mit Unverständnis im Blick ein neues Glas so voll gekippt, dass es nur so überlief. Dieses durfen man sich dann noch selbst holen. Aber da ist man ja als Gast selber Schuld wenn man was sagt, wenn man nicht das bekommt was man bestellt hat. Als man dann die Bedienung nach mal zu sich rief um noch etwas zu bestellen kommt von dieser nur ein "Was?" Es ist eine absolute Schande, das solch Personal am Kunden arbeiten darf. Diese gehören in den Keller! Hier werden wir in Zukunft einen riesen Bogen drum machen! Und wir werden nicht mit "Empfehlung" geizen!"

"We came from Slovenia to visit Culinary Olympics in Erfurt. After all day travel we wanted to have nice German dinner in a heart of this beautiful town. We found this place, accidently while we have been exploring old part of town. The place seemed...promising so we decided to enter. Waitress has been nice, we didn’t want to complicate and we all took the same dish: pork shank with dumpling, sauerkraut and gravy. Some of us started with some onion soup which not bad, but not so good that it would be worth to mention. After a while waitress brought the main course, which is the main reason of this review. Shank has been overcooked not properly warmed burned outside and absolutely not fresh. Some of the shanks have been burned so much that they were smelled like burned pork cadaver. Side dish has been mostly prefabricated (dumplings, gravy) and then warmed. We have been all very disappointed because we have been expected way much better food from their territory. Burping reminded me for the rest of the night, that my dinner was not what it should be."

"Leider muss ich meine anfängliche Rezession widerrufen und bearbeiten. An der Lieferung der Speisen sowie der Dauer gibt es meiner Meinung nichts auszusetzen. Ich bin mir zwar nicht sicher, ob es wegen der Rohstoffknappheit ist. Aber die Qualität der Speisen hat im Zeitraum von 1-2 Monaten konstant angenommen. Ich habe vollstes Verständnis, wenn man auf kostengünstigere Ressourcen zurückgreift, grade in diesen Zeiten. Aber am Beispiel der Nudeln mit Lachs wurde hier am Rezept alles abgeändert. Und das leider zum schlechteren. Da es bei diesem Produkt alle Bestandteile betrifft, ist die Qualität des Essens im früheren Vergleich daher nicht mehr so geschmackvoll. Vielleicht eine Info an die Kundschaft steuern oder doch am Preis etwas abändern ? Ich weiß nich. Ansonsten was die Menge betrifft kann man nicht meckern. Daher 3 von 5 Sternen."

"the excellent situation was unfortunately not confirmed by eating. everything was freshly prepared and the broschetta, as well as the salad with brushed strips and a child's plate with spaghetti blognese came to a time on the table. I had to wait for my psteak from the tageskarte and the above. it was spiced with crumbs, but the salt was scattered regardless of it, so it tasted very fad and monotonous. now to my rumpsteak loud day card on rucula with parmesan and spinat. I asked if they would get it without parmesan and as supplement I would like to have rosmarinkartoffeln. all no problem was the answer. I mean steak, like medium or something, apparently hasn't played any roles. after an hour I got my food, but the kartoffels were missing, for that I had the parmesan. the rumpsteak was fried 1.5 cm thick light brown and beautifully grow through. also salt and pepper were completely disappeared here, but for that it was spiced with crumbs. I had hunger. When I had the fax thick, I asked the waiter to me and showed him to my rumpsteak. it was gay. an adult kammsteak unannounced by the gay for 19 euro. the waiter said it was always sold as a rumpsteak and went, of course, after I paid."

"Kellner sind meist grimmig und wollen einen nur so schnell wie möglich wieder los werden wenn man für das Buffet da ist. Wir konnten eines Abends nichtmal unser Essen in Ruhe genießen weil die Kellnerin stendig um unsren Tisch herumlief und uns genervt anschaute obwohl noch gut 40 Minuten vor Ladenschluss war. Das Essen ist okay aber wir gehen jetzt immer wo anders essen."

"Am Freitag, den 14. Juli, wollten wir mit unseren Gästen aus Berlin und Mecklenburg kurz nach 21 Uhr am Erfurter Wenigemarkt unser Wiedersehen feiern. Alle Gaststätten und Biergärten waren gut besucht. Unsere Wahl fiel auf das Faustus, was sich später leider als totale Fehlentscheidung erwies. Wir 5 Personen nahmen im Gastraum des Faustus an einem freien Tisch Platz, wurden jedoch vom Servicepersonal zunächst ca. 10 Minuten lang "übersehen". Dann überreichte man uns die Speise-/Getränkekarte. Nach einer weiteren längeren Wartezeit nahm eine junge Kellnerin unsere Getränkebestellung auf. Als wir ihr sagten, dass wir auch bereits unsere Speisen gewählt hätten und bestellen möchten, erklärte sie, dass wahrscheinlich schon Küchenschluss ist. Auf unseren Hinweis, dass laut Speisekarte erst 22.30 Uhr Küchenschluss sei, wollte sich die Kellnerin noch mal beim Küchenpersonal erkundigen. Während wir auf das Ergebnis der Erkundigung warteten, kamen nacheinander noch zwei weitere Kellner an unseren Tisch, um sich nach unseren Wünschen zu erkundigen. Zum Küchenschluss waren sie nicht auskunftsfähig. Nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit erhielten wir dann die Auskunft, dass auf Grund der Anzahl der offenen Bestellungen keine weiteren Speisenwünsche entgegengenommen werden. Als Erfurter Gastgeber haben wir uns für die thüringer Gastronomie fremdgeschämt. Glücklicherweise fanden wir nach diesem Negativerlebnis in einer anderen Gaststätte am Wenigemarkt noch freundliche Aufnahme, einen sehr guten Service und ein schmackhaftes Abendessen.Unser Fazit: Faustus nie wieder!"

"Further reviews are available on Instagram at @erfurtdoener and here on my page. Rating: Meat: The meat is from all the diners I have eaten lately in Erfurt my clear favorite. Bread: The bread is made self-made and tastes very good. Salad: The salad selection is as it should be with every neat diner, fresh and tasty. sauce: Firat Döner has garlic yogurt and a sharp sauce. I usually take yoghurt and sharp sauce. Especially I can recommend the yogurt sauce. Ambiance: The shop has an indoor and outdoor area, which is separated from the footpath by a hedge. In the interior there are tables for 12 people and in the outdoor area there are usually 2 tables with 4 seats in the summer. In adaptation to the current requirements due to Corona there is also an order window where you can order and pay comfortably from the outside area without having to enter the shop. Service: The team is always very friendly and accommodating. At Firat Döner there are two actions that I particularly like. On the one hand, there is a stamp card where you get a diner free of charge at 10 stamps and on the other hand there are different days of action where the selected dishes are reduced by 1€. Monday is pizza day, Wednesday pasta day, Thursday schnitzeltag and Friday the most important day: the Dönertag, where every Döner is 0.50€ cheaper. Firat Döner has been open until 22:30. The only minus point is, however, that Firat is unfortunately closed on Saturday. So if you want to go to a diner on the weekend you have to look around for an alternative. Price: 4,00€ Conclusion: As you can definitely see from the review, Firat Döner is currently one of my personal favorites in Erfurt. Not only the yogurt sauce is highly recommended, but also the ratio of meat/salate is really good and after a döner you are definitely saturated for the next hours. So, who, in my opinion, wants to eat one of the best diners in Erfurt, only needs to visit Leipziger Platz and Firat Döner."

"It is always difficult to find an authentic Asian restaurant here in Thüringia. During the search we came across a Korean restaurant in the heart of Erfurt called Wollkim. I would say our expectations were exceeded by the great service and authentic Korean food. We love the soy-based soup, bulgogi and grilled pork and beef. We were grateful that the Korean cook took the time to greet us. We felt very welcome. Special thanks to Hide (i hope I correctly spelled his name) for the sponge cake and for letting us try Korean rice wine. In fact, this extra service goes an extra mile. This restaurant is worth a visit and we will definitely be back."

From the moment we arrived, the team at Masala went above and beyond to make our event special. Despite reaching the restaurant a bit late, their proactive staff had already completed the party decorations, ensuring everything was perfectly set up for the ceremony. Their attention to detail and prompt service were outstanding. The food was nothing short of fantastic, with dishes that closely resemble authentic Indian cuisine. The service was mind-blowing—each course was announced in both German and English, making it easy for all guests to enjoy. "The place is good located, close to downtown and the cathedral square. The service was ok, cordial and fast. I was disappointed by the food though. The chai tea was not milky enough and not concentrated enough to have a nice spiced flavor. The rice was cold and my sauce (from my lamb dish) was way too salty so I needed to mix a portion with the raita (yogurt cause) to be edible. The lunch menu had a good price but for the quality of my order I think their menu is overpriced."

"we got out of town and arrived a bit earlier. after a terrible experience at a previous, higher end and recommended restaurant, we have shown ourselves here quite late at 21:30 clock. the waitress was super nice, fast and efficient. the waiter himself. now, he did mistakes, and came with our food to another table and then went back and said we refused to eat ours. just a little bit about how the waitress so thoughtful and treated real was comforting when she came back to us to ask us why we refused to eat. as for the menu, interesting, a bit cheesy, but. it was damn delicious! beautiful against and the thunfisch spagel pasta was seriously delicious. it looks like her run the mill German sticky Italian restaurant, but service, eating and getting ready for it!"

"Der Rote Elephant ist eine Institution in Erfurt. Seit Februar hat ein neues Team übernommen und setzt eigene Akzente. Die vorher stark an vegetarischer und nachhaltiger Kost orientierte Speisekarte zeigt sich mit orientalischen Leckereien aufgefrischt. Eine der liebgewonnenen Klassiker bleiben aber auch auf der Karte um der ausgeprägten Stammkundschaft weiterhin die gewünschten Leistungen bieten zu können. Das Ambiente wurde größtenteils übernommen. Gemütlich, rustikal entspricht sehr dem Charakter einer gutbürgerlichen Kneipe/Gaststube. Das Team war am Abend unseres Besuches leider ein wenig unkoordiniert und wirkte aufgeregt. Da sie den Elephanten aber auch erst kürzlich übernommen haben, spielt sich das sicher noch ein. An Freundlichkeit mangelt es nicht. Die Speisekarte ist wie bereits gesagt eine Mischung aus einheimischen Klassikern und orientalischen Spezialitäten. Die Portionen sind in einer vernünftigen Größe. Das Baba Ganoush war sehr leicht gewürzt und hätte mehr Bums vertragen können. Auch die anderen Speisen ließen es ein wenig an Raffinesse vermissen. Die Wartezeiten waren andererseits überschaubar. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist in Ordnung, kein Highlight."

"Sehr gute Weinkarte (inclusive guter Beratung), wohltuend kreative Speisekombinationen - sehr freundlicher Service. Trotzdem nur 3 Punkte! Wir waren an Silvester hier zum Abendessen. Der Abend verlief jedoch trotz gutem Essen, hervorragenden Wein und sehr gut geschultem, freundlichen Servicenicht so, wie erhofft. Was ist passiert? Wir hatten uns auf einen langen, kulinarischerbauenden Silvesterabend gefreut, konnten jedoch den Abend nicht wirklich genießen, da die Gerichte viel zu schnell serviert wurden. Eile mit Weile war zumindest an diesem Abend nicht angesagt, die durchaus sehr ansprechenden und kreativen Gerichte wurden im Eiltempo serviert. Weit vor 21 Uhr haben wir das Lokal verlassen, da unsere 3 Gänge in Turbogeschwindigkeit serviert wurden, ich konnte noch nicht einmal mehr einen schönen Rotwein zum Hirschfilet bestellen so schnell wurde der Hauptgang serviert. Neben der hohen Geschwindigkeit, fanden wir auch die Portionen etwas zu groß (ja, sicher ein Luxusproblem), so dass kein Platz mehr für ein Dessert war. Zu wahrem Genuss benötigen wir einfach etwas mehr Zeit, gerne wären wir 2 Stunden länger geblieben, hätten die Gerichte lieber etwas langsamer genossen und sicher auch noch gemütlich eine weitere sehr gute Flasche Wein konsumiert - bei dieser Blitzabfertigung blieb uns aber nur die blitzartige Flucht in unser Appartement, zum Glück hatten wir dort 1a Wein und herrlichen Winzersekt bereitgestellt,Gemessen an der turboschnellen Abfertigung fanden wir auch das Preis- Leistungs-Verhältnis unangemessen. Gerne hätten wir eine etwas höhere Zeche gemacht, wenn die Umstände gepasst hätten, so jedoch empfanden wir die Rechnung gemessen an der kurzen Zeit die wir im Lokal waren sehr hoch."
