"Tonight me and my husband wanted to have an “aperitivo” before dinner. The city has an event organized for tonight and tomorrow night and so the bars are quite packed. As we arrived at this place, which, by the way just opened recently, and asked the only female server if we can seat as we wanted to have an aperitivo and she pointed a table for two and told us she will send someone to take our order. We waited approximately 10 to 12 minutes and seeing that no one will come over and stud up and went at the bar and told a lady with short blonde hair that we were seated outside waiting to place our order.... Aa soon as I mentioned the word “aperitivo” she immediately told me in a very hurried way that they don’t serve aperitivo after 9pm...it was 9:05pm.. We arrived before and she told that she saw us coming and that we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes and nevertheless, they don’t do it anymore and that we should go somewhere else?!?!? Her attitude was of a person who does not do well under stress and with no customer experience whatsoever. As a new business or any business you don’t treat your clients like this and certainly you don’t refuse a client who’s already seated! As a person with lots of experience in the hospitality and food beverage, I do not recommend places where patrons treat their clients as numbers and make them feel unwelcome. If you don’t provide a certain type of service after a chosen hour, make sure all your staff is informed. Gavi is very well known for its good wine, food and service Not returning to this place."

"The name suggests to be a wine bar with accompanying bruschette and other appetizers. We were disappointed to see only bruschette and a small pasta and meat/secondo menu. Also there are very few wines by the glass. We had wanted to try different wines and lots of small plates with appetizers and such. The wine list is extensive and most are below €15. As most are by the bottle only we started with a nice prosecco, a Gavi with one of our bruschette and then a bottle of Barbera Monferrato €13). The bruschette Classico, onions/goat cheese, Gorgonzola/walnuts/honey) were very tasty, but they were quite pricey. Also we did need to order something else to finish our bottle of wine with as well as to complete the meal. The pasta wasn't very interesting and even though there was only one table occupied at that time the steak fillet was finished. Since the tartare battuta di fassone) was plain, served with nothing else, we didn't want that and could choose between a goat cheese salad or vitello tonnato. Or additional bruschette but we didn't find many more on the menu that we were interested in. Finally we had a small dessert and a coffee. We were very surprised to have to pay €95 of which we could calculate €23 bruschette, €20 vitello, €13 bottle of wine. The day before we had a 4 course meal with a €32 bottle of Barolo and paid €102. The receipt showed dolce was €6, coperto €2, wines by the glass €4, coffee €1,50. It all added up to €95 but that just wasn't worth it. It wasn't that great. The service was very friendly though and the place looks really nice. All in all we had a nice evening but were shocked by the total price in the end, especially compared to the day before at Gavi's #1 restaurant on Tripadvisor."

"We found Ai Nebbioli on trip advisor and went here for Saturday lunch on our weekend trip in Piedmont. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside on the terrace. The pagola shown in some of the photos on trip advisor had unfortunately broken due to snow, and the owner advised us she will be building a new one soon. The owner and chef was absolutely delightful and provided fantastic service. She explained in excellent English each of the dishes on the menu, noting the regional and seasonal ingredients. The food was all delicious and great value. We had mixed antipasti to start, consisting of Russian salad, roasted peppers in basil pesto with anchovies, salami with fried dough, and fried chick pea puree chips sprinkled with fresh rosemary from the garden. This was accompanied by a basket of assorted breads and crisp breads. For secondi we had fresh homemade pasta dishes. Pasta noodles with anchovies, pine nuts, raisins fresh dill and meat filled ravioli that is normally served with a local red wine sauce but after discussing sauce options with the chef/owner I had it with butter sage sauce. Wonderful to have the option to alter the dish to suit my preferences. For main my partner had melt in the mouth roast veal topped with a vegetable sauce and served with sautéed potatoes. For dessert we had a seasonal black cherry and pine nut strudel, and the meal was washed down with a delicious local Gavi wine that we could order by the glass that the owner/chef advised us was produced 2km from her restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the warm hospitality and would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to others."
