"Wir waren früher schon sehr gerne im Diyar Sofrasi, nun das erste Mal wieder nach dem Umbau des Lokals und eigenem Umzug. Der neu gestaltete Gästebereich ist hell, bequem und freundlich, aber direkt an unserem Fenster zog es ein wenig. Die Speisekarte kam mir verkleinert vor, vielleicht irre ich mich hier auch. Sollte aber jeder was drauf finden. Wir entschieden uns für Adana und sis kebab. Beides sehr lecker zubereitet. Pommes und Reis als Beilage auch gut zubereitet. Portionen mit dem Salat machen gut satt. Das Lokal war eigentlich ganz gut besucht, trotzdem bekamen wir Essen und Getränke unglaublich schnell: Getränk 1-2 Minuten, Essen circa 10 Minuten. Preis am Ende für 2 große Ayran, 1 Tee, 2 Hauptgerichte bei circa 25 Euro, was angemessen war.Der Service war sehr schnell, leider nicht freundlich - auch nicht unfreundlich, aber man fühlte sich ein bisschen wie am Fließband. Parkplatz direkt daneben, zu Fuß von der Innenstadt aus unbequem, aber möglich. Beim nächsten Gießen-Besuch gehört Diyar Sofrasi wieder zu den in Frage kommenden Lokalen."

"We were here for a large ceremony, which was meant to include a sparkling wine reception, a three-course meal and dancing. The hotel is more attractive than other similar locations in Giessen. However, they seemed to be very understaffed and poorly organised.The staff didn't know about the wines on the menu (only 6 for this event to choose from) and didn't seem to know who to ask and had the excuse that they were new there, that might be the case but the wines we ended up having had an description of the back of them so she would have only had to look and tell us what they said, and at a restaurant of this level you expect at least one of the staff on hand to know about what they serve. Drinks took quite a long time to come and sometimes the wrong things were brought and for the sparkling wine there were not enough glasses so they had to use regular wine glasses for some people. When the soup was brought out, it took a really long time because there was not enough staff and they stopped bringing the drinks in this time because they could not manage both at the same time, which meant some of us didn't have anything to drink when the soup came and it took several minutes to get drinks after it. The amount of time this took would be understandable if they were serving different soups, but everyone was getting the same thing so there was no need to be careful who got what. The main course and dessert were served on a buffet, which was probably fortunate given how slow they were with the soup. However, they ran out of plates a few times, which needed to be brought to their attention and they also forgot the knifes for the cheese plate. The food was, in spite of all of others issues, excellent. The roast beef and the chicken were especially good. The service level was quite a shame given how good the food was, the place as a very high potential but the lack of service brings it down."

"Ich war nun 2x da, um das Veggie-Angebot zu testen. In der zweiten Woche nach Eröffnung gab nur den Vegan-Burger. Zu der Zeit fand ich das Angebot ein wenig enttäuschend. Dieser hat eine gebratene Aubergine als Patty. An sich hat er jedoch ganz passabel geschmeckt auch wenn der Burger auseinander gefallen ist - jedoch war meine Erwartung viel höher und ich war leider auch eine andere Burgerqualität gewöhnt von einem etwas länger ansässigem Burger-Laden in Gießen, das wohl jeder in der Stadt kennt... :-) Als Beilage wählte ich Chili Cheese Pommes. Die schmeckten gut.Einige Wochen später hat sich das vegetarische Angebot erfreulicherweise erweitert. Es gibt nun auch einen Veggie-Burger mit Gemüsebratling und Halloumi darüber. Daumen hoch für das erweiterte Angebot. Leider war auch jener Burger nicht überzeugend. Der Bratling zerfiel und so langsam passierte dies auch mit dem Burgerbrötchen. Da machten die letzten Bissen nicht mehr so viel Spaß. Als Besteck-ablehnender-Burgeresser (^^) war das leider ein recht hektisches Ende.Zum Lokal an sich. Es ist einladend aufgebaut, sauber, die Küche war sehr flott und der Service ist supernett. Wer also keine großen Ansprüche an (vegetarische) Burger hat. Der kann es gerne einmal probieren. Empfehlen würde ich es jedoch nur bedingt aufgrund der mäßigen Geschmacksqualität."

"Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal zum Sonntagsbrunch da und hatten uns sehr auf den Besuch gefreut. Aber leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Die Auswahl war nicht mehr so gut! Es gab kein Kuchen oder Stückchen. Die Auswahl an herzhafte kleine Häppchen war auch nicht so toll! Das Brot war noch leicht gefroren! Dann wurden die Müsli und Aufstriche früh weggeräumt! Um 13.30 uhr wurde auch schon das warme Essen weggeräumt! Man hatte das Gefühl, das Personal möchte Feierabend machen. Gemütlich ist anders. So kannten wir es nicht. Bei dem Preis, kann man etwas anderes erwarten. Man hätte auch mal überlegen können, die Eierspeisen frisch zu machen. Das bekommen andere Hotels auch hin. Das war für uns wohl der letzte Besuch dort! Schade, sehr Schade"

"Wir konnten heute (Samstag Nachmittag) noch spontan einen Tisch für abends reservieren, obwohl das Lokal den ganzen Abend über gut gefüllt war und einige Reservierungen vorlagen. Unseren Hund mitzubringen war kein Problem, sie hat sogar einen Napf mit Wasser bekommen. Das Personal war durchweg sehr nett, Extrawünsche bei der Bestellung wurden umgesetzt, das Essen und die Getränke kamen zügig nach der Bestellung; es gab eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten, Soßen und Dressings. Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet, die Tische stehen teilweise etwas eng, was aber auch absolut kein großes Hindernis darstellt. Für einen Burger mit Pommes und Getränk muss man ca. 20€ einrechnen, meiner Meinung nach das Geld aber wert."

"Incluso antes de Corona nos encantaba ir a la antigua casa de panqueques de la casa de hielo, porque todo está bien: un servicio muy educado, atento, pero no entrometido; Comida fresca, de buen sabor y con una buena relación calidad-precio, con una carta de vinos equilibrada y un ambiente acogedor. Ahora queríamos apoyar al restaurante con una visita durante este tiempo y estamos muy impresionados bajo estas circunstancias. Claro, afuera junto al río en la terraza, el riesgo de infección es mucho menor que adentro. Al mismo tiempo, es muy agradable estar justo en el río y el concepto de calle de un solo sentido bien considerado evita que se acerque demasiado accidentalmente al entrar y salir. La operación también está gratamente reservada y, para tranquilizarlo, siempre lleva una protección bucal / nasal. La casa de hielo ha demostrado su valía incluso en tiempos difíciles"

"Our last visit to this restaurant. It took a very long time to get used. We waited 15 minutes until a waitress showed up and there were not even half of the tables occupied at noon on a day under the week. Table wasn't cleaned and glued. Beverages and food came then relatively quickly compared to the waiting period at the beginning. Disaster, however, was the elderly man who served there. Unfriendly, from above, did not make the impression as if it were desired. Food is good, not outstanding good, but also not bad. Ambience is also nice, but this does not compensate for the long waiting time and the unfriendly service."

"The food in this restaurant is really delicious, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. You are treated like dirt, which ruins the whole evening. Despite the outside temperature being only 18°C, the terrace windows were completely opened, making it uncomfortably cold in the restaurant. When we asked to close the windows, we were rudely told that this was not possible because otherwise it would be too warm for the waiters, not the guests. Even though it is summer, we know the weather in Germany and know that it can be very, very cold. In addition, the waiters are sometimes in a good mood and friendly, sometimes bad and rude, which makes the experience very unpredictable. Such rude treatment of guests is unacceptable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the poor service, even if the food tastes very good."

"Two salad shops could keep in the water after the big hype, their concept could not be different. Where there are finished salads with names at Tom Sallys, you can choose from estimated 30 ingredients and create your individual salad (yes, there are also exceptions, but later). The base is therefore either noodles (white or whole grain), fresh green salad or a combination thereof (my favorite), four so-called basic ingredients, a dressing according to choice and a small semmel (full grain or ciabatta). If you want more, you can book additional ingredients such as freshly fried chicken for an additional fee. The whole is large (with two mammals) and small and I find the value for money very good. The clear advantages and disadvantages of this concept are individuality. I get the salad I want, but I need to remember what I like. There are also lunches on the Neuenweg. I admire the operators with what rest and speed they do the preparation, but it costs time. If you want to edit this, you have the option of an online preparation order (which I have never used before). What I like is the changing warm soups that round off the offer, I usually take a small salad and a soup and then I'm good at lunch, but not too much saturated. Building style you feel very comfortable in the small salädchen, everything is made with bright wood, in front of the large shop window there is a long corner bench with pillows inside and many people take the food on site. In front of the shop window outside, in good weather there are also places in the sun and overlooking the Sparkasse... Even if you come more often, it will not be boring to change soups, new, partly seasonal dressings and ingredients of the month like asparagus. In addition to every individuality, there are also finished salads that carry funny names and also change. Do not come into question for me, but should be mentioned. There are all drinks that you just want to drink from Fritz-Cola via Club-Mate. Only the coffee I can not recommend: by putting yourself back in the snake, nobody will be ordered in preparation and the operators will be annoyed. You can also preorder for groups and then you don't have to adjust yourself, but that never came into question for me as a spontaneous eater."

After that was too stupid, we dressed our jackets and put the wallets on the table, no one came after another 5 minutes. In the end, when we wanted to pay, we weren't even asked if we wanted to pay separately or together. We even have to figure out who has to pay. Apart from that, the bill was simply thrown at the table and we were called the total amount. When leaving the shop was not even said goodbye, although as staff stood directly at the entrance. I prefer to praise the city café, Paprica, Mr. Jones, news cafe and how they all mean. Just in an initial phase, you might want to look at how to serve your customers. Conclusion, once and never again."

"Nach dem ersten Besuch, vor ca einem Jahr, waren wir ganz froh, ein solches Restaurant in Gießen gefunden zu haben. Heute waren wir wieder da, aber die Bedienung war sehr kühl und unfreundlich, das Essen war hauptsächlich nur matschig oder (wahlweise) viel zu trocken. Das Hühnchen nur mit Injera zu essen, birgt fast schon Erstickungsgefahr...Ich habe schon oft äthiopische und eritreische Küche genießen dürfen, qualitativ war das Essen hier leider nicht gut. Die Toilette (Damen) hat warmes Wasser, ist aber sehr dunkel. Es steht ein Wagen mit offenen Behältern mit den verschiedenen Speisen im Gang vor der Theke. Jeder, der das Restaurant betritt, oder auf die Toilette geht, muss daran vorbei, das kommt mir nicht besonders hygienisch vor.Die Atmosphäre könnte sehr schön sein, die Lage des Restaurants ist sehr zentral, Potential hätte das ganze also durchaus... aber erst mal nicht mehr für uns."

"How can I put it, I couldn't be more disappointed. Unfortunately, my friend and I ordered food from this store this evening because of the otherwise good reviews. The pizza is soggy and soaked in fat the dough looks like toast. Very unfortunate. The boneless wings cannot be beaten in terms of tastelessness, the breading is anything but crispy and has more of the consistency of mashed potatoes. The mac'n'cheese tastes like macaroni has been cooked, allowed to cool and then baked with cheese. Where's the sauce? They have to be creamy and delicious : . €55 is just way too much money for this extremely poor performance I've never been so disappointed with food delivered."

"Kleiner Laden in der Gießener Fußgängerzone mit Möglichkeit auch draußen zu sitzen und seine Waffel zu genießen.Im Inneren steht man vor einer Theke aus der man sich die Zutaten der Füllung aussuchen kann....wer jetzt denkt, ach super.....den muss ich "enttäuschen" ! Man hat die Qual der Wahl und muss sich zügig entscheiden, denn der Laden ist echt gefragt und somit hoch frequentiert und die wollen auch alle endlich eine Waffel. ;)Als erstes sucht man sich eine Sauce aus (Vollmilch-, Bitter- oder weiße Schokolade, vielleicht doch lieber rote Grütze oder Erdebeere...um mal eine kleine Auswahl zu nennen), hat man sich entschieden ist das Obst dran, diverse Toppics und wem das noch nicht reicht, kann zusätzlich noch zwischen weiteren Specials und Eis wählen.Wer jetzt denkt, dass dies ein Vermögen kostet liegt etwas daneben. Im Durchschnitt um die 5/6 Euro.Zeit sollte man dennoch mitbringen, denn so bemüht die Angestellten sind, es kann (muss nicht) schon mal einen kleinen Moment dauern. Man bekommt die bestellte Waffel an den Tisch gebracht und der Teller wird durch Schokosauce mit dem eigenen Namen verziert.Die Waffeln gibt es auch zum Mitnehmen, dann aber ohne Namen.Alles in allem kann man WonderWaffel in Gießen nur weiterempfehlen, sie sind richtig lecker."

"Pizzeria Milano ist kein Restaurant, sondern ein Pizza-Lieferdienst. Das können sie aber sehr gut. Die Pizzen sind immer sehr lecker für eine Person auf jeden Fall groß genug und die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und so habe ich auch mal einige Salate und auch das indische Essen probiert. Auch hier kann ich die Menge nur loben - ich bin mehr als satt geworden. Die Salate schmecken sehr lecker, Gemüse und Dressing kommen natürlich getrennt, so muss es sein. Das indische Essen war reichlich und sah sehr lecker aus. Geschmacklich hat der Ingwer ziemlich dominiert und das war nicht mein Ding. Aber ich kenne mich da nicht aus, vielleicht war es auch meine Blödheit, weil ich einfach das falsche Essen bestellt habe..."

"We decided spontaneously to order and pick up food. We were there. Very nice staff. Stable, clean seat. Very clean. We have glasses for drinks, cutlery and napkins. My gym was a visual highlight. Nicely dressed and tastefully very delicious and fresh, there were 2 pizza bread grindings. We will definitely return"

"Kann mich den 5 Sterne Bewertungen nur anschließen. Von dem WoMo Stellplatz eher etwas ernüchtert hat uns der Lieferservice von Eduardo wieder versöhnt. Super Pizza, die vegetarische extra nach unserem Wunsch gebacken, fairer Preis und bester Service. Macht weiter so !!! I can only agree with the 5 star reviews. A bit sobered by the WoMo pitch, Eduardo's delivery service reconciled us. Super pizza, the vegetarian one specially baked according to our wishes, fair price and the best service. Keep it up !!!"
