"An exceptionally unique dining experience! Our holiday companion booked Pamela’s for dinner and we were unsure of what to expect, however we were assured of good quality food and a great experience and we certainly were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were shown to a table in the lounge, provided with the menus and ordered drinks. Service is exceptionally professional and friendly from arrival to departure. The decor is most unique and very fun to take in. The upstairs dining room is more casual and I loved watching the chefs in the open kitchen. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our vegetarian diner was slightly limited for choice and there was a blip with the main course, however it was handled and recovered very well (we were unaware when booking, however we have now been advised to phone ahead a minimum of 24-hours and special meal arrangements can be made in advance for vegetarian meals). The fish cakes and miso Salmon were very delicious and cooked to perfection. The duck legs had crispy skin, moist meat and a tasty accompanying Orzo pasta. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Pamela’s for a delicious meal with 5* service. Vegetarian options: Recommended to advise the restaurant a minimum of 24-hours in advance. There were 2 starters and 1 main course (featuring pasta on all dishes) on the a la carte menu, however if you call in advance then arrangements can be made."

"I reserved a table at the restaurant for my 41st birthday, looking forward to trying the trio of fish that we had seen on the menu. However, we were disappointed to find out that it was no longer available as the menu had changed. After some deliberation, I opted for the deep-fried Scottish haddock with mushy peas and vinegar jam, a dish I had never tried before but enjoyed. My partner chose the Norfolk chicken breast in a carbonara sauce, and my daughter had the chicken bites, chips, and beans for our mains. I also ordered some pork belly with spicy mayo, which had perfectly crispy crackling and melted in my mouth with a nice spicy kick from the mayo. The fish was flaky with a crunchy batter and the vinegar jam added a nice touch to it. The chicken breast was moist with crispy skin and came with delicious courgette and a rich carbonara sauce. My daughter happily devoured her meal, only leaving a small amount uneaten. For dessert, I had the lemon and lime tart with meringue shards, berry ice cream, and fresh mango, which all complemented each other beautifully. My partner enjoyed the orange posset with candied rhubarb and shortbread biscuit, noting the intense orange flavor and harmonious combination of orange and rhubarb. The service from the staff on the 14th of May at lunchtime was excellent, with both ladies being attentive, patient, and fun. They even gave us recommendations for activities to do with our daughter nearby. We would definitely return to this restaurant when we are in the area again."

"We booked a table at Whites prior to arriving on our holiday as I was aware there were only a few tables here. We arrive on time with children in tow and sit down. I am surprised to order drinks and recieve these in...plastic containers, but not as surprised as my wife who orders a glass of wine only to get this in a half pint plastic cup!!!. The drinks are not cheap so you would expect a glass at least and don't forget your out for a meal not sitting in McDonald's. We are given menus and only at this point and NOT when I booked are we told all food is served at your table in takeaway containers and wooden forks. At this point we decided not to order as I refuse to sit at a table and eat food from containers. The joke here is that on their special evening events where the food is slightly more expensive you get a plate!!. I was told the reason for containers is due to covid, clearly there is no issue with covid if it's one of their special nights and you pay more. Please don't insult people's intelligence as whether you give out containers or plates your staff are still handling them and they were not wearing gloves or masks so what's the difference. We had one drink and left and popped to the chippy opposite and probably saved ourselves at least. If you want to serve food in cheap containers and wooden forks then at least have the decency to tell customers when they book rather than wait till they arrive. We visited other restaurants during our stay and happy to say we got plates and proper cutlery."
