"This pub is great for a regular visit, but not recommended for hosting parties. We booked the venue for my sister's 30th birthday, and although the staff were friendly, the DJ was a major letdown. He claimed to be unwell and spent most of the night either resting his head on the decks or hanging out in the bar area. When we informed him of specific songs we wanted played for the birthday girl, including her "last dance song" and her special song with her fiancé, he assured us it would be no problem. However, at 10:30PM he admitted he didn't have her song as he only had Spotify. He finally played the last song at 11:40pm before quickly leaving before we could address the issue. The bar staff promised to pass on our feedback to management, but we were extremely disappointed with the DJ's unprofessional attitude and lackluster performance. As a result, very few people danced and some even joked about his energy level. The fact that the pub had a minimal crowd that evening made our party the main source of income for the night. This experience has left us reluctant to book the function room for future events and we would not recommend it to others."
