"I wasn't initially keen on visiting Ventimiglia for the day, but Pasta e Basta truly made our visit unforgettable. We arrived just 10 minutes before closing time, unaware that all the restaurants closed at 3 and reopened for dinner. After a long trek from the train station and feeling hangryyyy, the hostess graciously accommodated us and swiftly took our order. She was fantastic, offering excellent suggestions and recommending their in house pastas, which honestly exceeded all of our expectations. I'd return just to see her again. The only thing we wished we had known beforehand was the generous portion sizes, as we each ordered our own pasta dishes, but we were excited to eat leftovers later in the night. Every dish had tons of flavor and perfectly al-dente the way pasta should be. Our favorites were the cacio e pepe, white sauce ravioli, and shrimp pasta. This place is across the street from the ocean, the restaurant boasts a beautiful, modern interior design. Despite how busy of atmosphere it was, everyone was kind and gracious. We would definitely revisit and will always remember our sweet hostess from that day!"
