"Actually our second visit we went first on our drive down to the Dordogne, loved it so much, made sure we went again on our way back to Vendee. Despite a hitch with the booking, the lunch was again absolutely incredible. Complimentary amuse-bouches ..seared tuna or a creme brûlée made with foie gras sounds weird, but was delicious, so clever. Then came another complimentary taster, a melon sorbet with few strips of raw or cured beef, and a bit of meat sauce. Again, sounds strange, but surprisingly tasty. I had the steak, my wife had the Tuna Rossini (again, a new taste for us), both were simply inspired and beautifully cooked. But it was the dessert which blew my mind a chocolate thing which if I described would lose it's magic just heavenly, and I thin the best pud I have ever tasted. We have some foody friends we will be sending here, and will return to stay the night, simply to try the food again. I know there are many star reviews here, and I cannot stress how well deserved they are. The Chef is clearly passionate, and was keen to make sure we were happy.
